He was born Sept. 13, 1932 in Harrisburg to the late John A. Sr. and Mildred Waidlich.
He was the former owner of J&D Locksmith; a Navy veteran; and a member of Duncannon Sportsmen’s Club and a lifetime member of Harrisburg Archery Club.
Surviving are a son, Steven M. Najdek of Duncannon; a daughter, Vicky A. Meager of Horsham; three grandchildren, Lindsay Najdek, Christopher Meager and Nichol Meager; and a great-grandchild, Kayla Meager.
Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.

ALBERT L. FROWNFELTER
He was born Friday, Nov. 4, 1921 in Centre Twp. to the late Harry S. and Cora (Myers) Frownfelter.
He retired after 37 years with the former C.H. Masland & Sons, Carlisle; a 1939 graduate of the former New Bloomfield High School; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Carlisle First Church of God, where he was a member of the Jolly Old Timers, and a former member of North Middleton Twp. Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Anna Claire Reich Frownfelter of Carlisle; two daughters, Ann L. Shafer of Carlisle and Sandra E. Landis of Oak Ridge, N.C.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Services were held Dec. 29 in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. D. Alan Mathna officiating. Burial, with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Squad, was in Bloomfield Cemetery.

RUSSELL A. LOWE
He was born Feb. 28, 1928 in Watts Twp. to the late Anthony and Bessie (Miller) Lowe.
He was a retired machinist from Conrail at the Enola Yards; a Navy veteran; and a member of Bucks United Methodist Church, Newport, Newport Royal Arch Chapter 238, Newport VFW Post 34, Newport American Legion Post 177, Newport Loyal Order of Moose 1562, life member of Newport Social Order of Owls and past master of Newport Lodge 381, F&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Jean C. Lowe; two sons, Craig F. and James R., and a daughter, Rhonda J. Staver, all of Harrisburg; two sisters, Ruth Miller of Newport and Ramona Williams of McAlisterville; two grandsons and a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
Services were held Dec. 27 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Donald Firestone officiating. Burial was in Bucks Church Cemetery, Newport.
HELEN D. SHEAFFER
She was born Oct. 13, 1934 to the late Russell and Dorothy (Kerlin) Taylor.
She was a 1952 graduate of Greenwood Joint High School, a member of South Minster Presbyterian Church, Daytona Beach, and an associate member of the Presbyterian Church of Perry Valley, Millerstown.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, J. Ted Sheaffer; five daughters, Bonnie Ratcliffe of Harrisburg, Connie Smith of Daytona Beach, Theresa Crider of Duncannon, Patti Shatto of Mechanicsburg and Angela Peters of Harrisburg; a brother, David Taylor, and a sister, Peggy McDonald, both of Newport; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ted.
Services were held Dec. 27 in the Presbyterian Church of Perry Valley with the Rev. Nancy F. McClure officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, handled arrangements.
ROMAINE E. DEATRICK
She was born Feb. 6, 1921 at Carlisle to the late Dillard and Elizabeth (Thumma) Lehman.
She was a homemaker.
She was the widow of Walton C. Deatrick.
Surviving are two sons, Larry D. of Ickesburg and Dwayne L. of New Bloomfield; two daughters, Joyce R. Geesaman of Elliottsburg and Beverly A. Springer of Grantville; three sisters, Evelyn Baker of Carlisle, Miriam Ryder of Chambersburg and Caroline Raudabaugh of Boiling Springs; 16 grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Walton M. and Ronnie L.; three sisters, Isabel Lehman, Beatrice Lehman and Geraldine “Gerry” Spangler; and a brother, Donald Lehman.
Services were held Jan. 7 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. David P. Peterson officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery, Loysville.

SONYA L. REICH
She was born June 22, 1955 in Harrisburg to Glen Byers of Millerstown and the late Arlene J. (McNaughton) Byers, who died in 1976.
She formerly worked at ElizaBeth Fashions, Millerstown, Benner’s Family Restaurant, Thompsontown, Nipple Convalescent Home, Liverpool, Saylor’s Market and Beaver Shoe Manufacturing, both of Beaver Springs, ParKnit, Mifflinburg, Kirby Manufacturing, McClure, and JoLee’s Restaurant, Troxelville; was a 1973 graduate of Greenwood High School; a member of St. Peter’s Independent Bible Church, Beavertown RR 1, where she was a greeter for many years, a missionary treasurer, children’s classes teacher and presented the children’s lesson in church.
As a youth, she sang with her parents and siblings in the family singing group. In later years, she sang as a soloist at many area churches. She loved to sing gospel music. She also enjoyed crocheting and needlework.
In addition to her father, surviving are her husband of 24 years, Darvin Lee Reich; her stepmother, Susan Byers of Millerstown; a sister, Rita Knoll of Shippensburg; a brother, Stanley Byers of Elliottsburg RR 2; a half-brother, Matthew Byers of Millerstown; two stepsisters, Diane Byers of Millerstown and Jodi Schock of Dauphin; and seven nieces and nephews who were her godchildren, Nicole Bowman, Kahla, Robin and Kimberly Reich, and Shane, Justin and Jonathan Wirth.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Steven Byers, who died in 1988, and a nephew, David Bowman, who died in 1998.
Services were held Dec. 30 in her church with the Revs. Alvin E. Smith and Richard M. VonNeida officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.
Hummel Funeral Home, Middleburg, handled arrangements.

DANIEL N. DILLMAN
He was born April 14, 1914 in Tuscarora Twp. to the late Daniel H. and Alice (Kerr) Dillman.
He was retired from Harrisburg State Hospital and had attended the former Marsh Run Church.
Surviving are a niece, Betty Notestine of Harrisburg; and four nephews, Martin L. Dillman of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Guy P. Dillman of Mifflintown, Harry W. Dillman of Cathedral City, Calif., and Donald Dillman of Port Royal.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Paul Dillman; and a sister, Mary B. Dillman.
Services were held Jan. 5 in David M. Myers Funeral Home, Newport. Burial was in Eshcol Cemetery.
MARGUERITE E. O’NEIL
She was born Sept. 9, 1917 to the late William and Margaret (Beidemuller) Miller.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph C. O’Neil; two sons, Joseph T. and Gary R., both of Harrisburg; and two grandchildren, Joseph G. O’Neil and Allena J. O’Neil.
She was the youngest and last surviving of the Miller children.
Services were held Jan. 3 in Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. B. Michael Brossman officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.
SAMUEL S. SEIDERS
He was born Nov. 23, 1943 in Centre Twp. to the late Leroy A. and Bessie (Kitner) Seiders.
He formerly was employed by the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot; was a member of New Bloomfield United Methodist Church; and enjoyed country music, attending court and sitting in the square of New Bloomfield in front of the Rhinesmith Hotel building.
Surviving are two brothers, Ted L. of Duncannon and Hap L. of Harrisburg; a sister, Bonnie K. Burd of Mechanicsburg; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Services were held Jan. 2 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Roz Mason officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
MARY L. KELLER
She was born Aug. 16, 1932 in Frankford Twp., Cumberland County, to the late Levi and Evelyn (Baughman) Warner.
She was retired from Brookwood Farms, Harrisburg, and was an active volunteer for the Marysville-Rye Senior Center.
She was the widow of Harris “Tim” Keller Jr.
Surviving are a son, Thomas E. of Marysville; a daughter, Evelyn F. Keller of Carlisle; two sisters, Betty Jane Gallagher of Marysville and Elsie Copp of Mechanicsburg; and a brother, William Warner of Shermans Dale.
Services were held Jan. 5 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.

SUZANNE MCKEAN
She was born and raised in New Bloomfield, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duke P. Clouser. She was the granddaughter of W.K. Clouser, who founded Clouser’s Hardware Store, a fixture on the square in New Bloomfield for almost 100 years.
She was a 1944 graduate of Penn State University, where she was vice president of the student body.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, E.D. McKean; two sons, Bradford and Edgar Jr.; a sister, Joan of Boston; a brother, John of New Bloomfield; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the spring in Pittsburgh, the longtime home of the McKeans.
CHARLOTTE TURNBAUGH
She was born Sept. 26, 1931 in Saville Twp. to the late Albert and Annie (Moyer) Jacobs.
She was a member of the New Bloomfield Ambulance League and Fire Company.
She was the widow of Thomas L. Turnbaugh.
Surviving are two sons, Charles E. and James A., and two daughters, Patty A. and Ada M., all of New Bloomfield.
Services were held Jan. 6 in David M. Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Samuel Kugle officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport.

GAIL B. BOYER
She was born Jan. 18, 1953 in Harrisburg to the late Jesse F. Jr. and Eloise (Morris) Boyer.
Surviving are a brother, Jesse F. Boyer III of Duncannon; two sisters, Patricia Heckman of Camp Hill and Rita Boyer of Mt. Holly Springs; and three nieces and two nephews.
Burial was in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
