Ethel Marie Mull, 71, of Middleburg died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998 in Community Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born Sept. 18, 1926 in Chapman Twp., Snyder County, to the late Norman D. and Mabel A. (Arbogast) Wilt.
She attended Locust Grove Grammar School, Liverpool RR 1; was a Protestant and a former member of Grubb's (Botschaft's) Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant Mills RR 1; and a member of Reliance Hose Company Ambulance League, Middleburg.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Leroy Mull; a daughter, Sadie Marie Chubb of McAlisterville RR 1; two sisters, Erma Jolly of Seabreeze, Fla., and Shirley Scholl of Port Trevorton; two grandchildren, Scott L. Chubb of Middleburg RR 4, and Linda M. Chubb of Richfield RR 1; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred A. Shaffer in 1995.
Services were held Jan. 23 in Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Stewart L. Mason officiating. Burial was in Grubb's Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Mills RR 1.
Ellen V. Meyer, 96, of the West Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center, East Pennsboro Twp., Cumberland County, formerly of Loysville, died Saturday, June 6, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born March 30, 1901 in Saville Twp. to the late Sheridan and Mary R. (Kuller) Sweger.
She was a retired state employee and a former employee of Carlisle Hospital; and a member of Tressler Memorial Lutheran Church, Loysville.
She was the widow of George D. Meyer. Surviving are three daughters, Vera L. Shipe of Camp Hill; and B. Arlene Humphreys and Dolores Ann Schmidtke, both of Mechanicsburg; a son, William D. of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister, Alice Crawford of Lower Allen Twp.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. Meyer of Petaluma, Calif.
Services were held June 9 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Reasey officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery, Loysville.

Harry A. Musser, 68, of Duncannon died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was retired from Rite Aid Drug Stores and a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Duncannon.
He was the widower of Cleo M. Musser.
Surviving are a son, Steven A. of Halifax; two daughters, Christine M. Wolfe and Roxann L. Jones, both of Johnstown; two sisters, Betty and Shirley, both of Des Moines, Iowa; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 22 in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.
Catherine E. "Cassie" McAlicher, 91 of Thornwald Home, Carlisle, formerly of Elliottsburg, died Saturday, June 6, 1998 in the home.
She was born June 11, 1906 at Harrisburg to the late John Clark and Alice (Gutshall) McAlicher.
She was a retired schoolteacher, who had taught at Green Park Union School and various one-room schoolhouses; was a graduate of Landisburg High School and the former Shippensburg State Teachers College; a member of the local and state chapters of Christian Endeavor; a life member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Elliottsburg; and a member of the Pennsylvania State Teachers Association retirees group, Rebekah Lodge, Landisburg, and the Perry County Historical Society.
Surviving is a nephew, David J. McAlicher of Carlisle.
Services were held June 10 in her church with the Rev. Miriam L. Nicholson officiating. Burial was in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

Helen Jones McDonald, 71, of Juniata Street, Thompsontown, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born Aug. 9, 1926.
She was a former supervisor in the state Revenue Department and a former personal secretary in Thompsontown and retired from Foss Jewelers, Mifflintown; a graduate of Newport High School; and a member of Thompsontown United Methodist Church and the TRW Pioneers, Harrisburg.
Surviving are her husband, Robert G. McDonald; two sons, Benjamin of Evergreen, Colo., and Jeff of Thompsontown; a daughter, Kelly Hisey of Exton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 2 in Sheaffer Funeral Home, McAlisterville, with the Rev. Maureen Wagner officiating. Burial was in Locust Run Cemetery, Thompsontown RR 1.

Helen M. Mitchell, 90, of N. Market Street, Liverpool, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born Jan. 19, 1908 in rural Millerstown to the late Charles P. and Anna (Spicher) Barner.
She had worked in the dietary department of the former Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Liverpool; attended Perry County rural schools; and was a member of St. John (Barners) Lutheran Church, Liverpool RR 1, the Ambulance League, and the Liverpool Senior Citizens.
She was the widow of Charles L. Mitchell, who died May 10, 1983.
Surviving are a son, Richard L. of Liverpool RR 1; a daughter, Mary Ann Lauver of York; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Barner.
Services were held April 18 in her church with the Rev. Peter H. Kuebler officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.
Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, handled arrangements.

Harry R. Maguire, 68, of Towpath Road, Duncannon, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Aug. 7, 1930 in Penn Twp. to the late William R. and Ruth C. (Sullenberger) Maguire.
He was a retired Camp Hill borough employee and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are a sister, Ruth C. Durham, and two brothers, Eugene W. and John C., all of Duncannon.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Lingenfelter.
Services were held Sept. 19 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. B. Michael Brossman officiating. Burial was in Duncannon Cemetery.

John A. "Pigeon" Miller, 71, of Hummelstown, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998.
He was a mechanic for Pennsy Supply Inc. for 46 years; a social member of Hershey VFW Post 3502 and Hummelstown American Legion Post 265; and a member of the Verhovay Home Association.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Umbrell of Belleview, Fla.; two sons, Joseph of Harrisburg and Ronald of Ocala, Fla.; four sisters, Lola Carpenter and Pearl Taylor, both of Duncannon, Anna Carpenter of Perdix and Mary Vennell of Millerstown; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
John H. Mitchell, 68, of Landisburg RR 1 died Wednesday, May 13, 1998 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 5, 1929 in Newport to the late Cloyd and Marie (Foose) Mitchell.
He was a retired employee of Carlisle Cement Products with more than 30 years of service and an employee of Albright Dairy Farms, Landisburg. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Shirley Kirkpatrick Mitchell; two daughters, Linda Rock of Orrtanna and Sue Mitchell, at home; one son, Thomas Mitchell of Liverpool; one brother, Dana Mitchell of Dauphin; one sister, Helen Cless of Loysville; and three grandchildren.
Services were held May 18 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle. Burial was in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
John Messimer Myers, 83, of New Bloomfield RR 2 died Monday, March 9, 1998 at home.
He was born Dec. 25, 1914 in Centre Twp. to the late John A. and Ida Mae (Clouser) Myers.
He retired from the former U.S. Steel Corp. and was a retired farmer; a 1932 graduate of the former New Bloomfield High School; a Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of Incarnation United Church of Christ, Newport, and Adams Lodge 319 F&AM, New Bloomfield.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille Myers; two daughters, Karen Miller of New Bloomfield and Judith Thompson of Camp Hill; a stepdaughter, Marion Schultz of Gettysburg; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 12 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Revs. Richard Henry and John Bonebreak officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
