As a child, her family attended the Methodist Church in New Bloomfield. She was a member of the last graduating class (1947) of the former Tressler Lutheran Orphans Home, Loysville, where she attended school due to her mother's employment there. She retired as a teller from Mellon Bank in Penbrook; was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Penbrook, and its choir; and a former member of the Penbrook Fire Company Auxiliary, Harrisburg Area Choral Society and Harrisburg Chapter, Sweet Adelines.

Samuel M. Crossley Sr., 85, of North Hollow Road, Coudersport, formerly of Marysville, died Friday, July 24, 1998 at home.
He was a graduate of Marysville High School; a self-employed farmer; and had been employed as an engineer with the former Pennsylvania Railroad.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Pierce Crossley; two daughters, Sandra Lantz and Peggy Smith, both of Marysville; a son, Samuel M. of Coudersport; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 27 at Fickinger Funeral Home, Coudersport. Burial was in Sweden Hill Cemetery.

Richard W. Culhane Sr., 71, of Duncannon, formerly of Hummelstown, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998 in Blue Ridge Haven East, Harrisburg.
He was a retired tower operator from Pennsylvania Railroad and former security guard for Pinkerton's, Harrisburg.
He was a member of American Legion Post 1001, Harrisburg; Duncannon Sportsmen's Association, Central Pennsylvania AAA, National Rifle Association and AARP.
Surviving are four sons, Richard W. "Billy" Jr. of Harrisburg, Richard E. of Enola, William W. of Emigsville and Joseph A.; a daughter, Yvonne C. "Bonnie" Scrignoli of New Cumberland; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Fae L. Cupp, 70, of Centre Twp., New Bloomfield RR 2, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1927 in Carlisle to the late Noy and Elizabeth (Rempfer) Lightner.
She retired from the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg; was owner/operator of Cupp's Homemade Ice Cream, Newport; and a member of New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, New Bloomfield Civic Club, The Perry Historians, Perry County Historical Society and Perry County Council of the Arts.
Surviving are a son, Lawrence H. Cupp of East Waterford; a daughter, Beth C. Nork of Mount Laurel, N.J.; a sister, Jane Lightner of Phoenixville; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Neil Lightner. Services were held March 13 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Michael Witmer officiating. Burial was in Landisburg Cemetery.

Paul J. Daniels, 91, of S. River Road, Halifax, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born March 10, 1907 in Hazleton to the late Paul and Anne Marie (Balliet) Daniels.
He retired from Exxon Corp., Inglenook; was a National Guard veteran; and a member of First Evangelical United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge 173, Williamsport Consistory and F&AM Lodge 707, all of Williamsport.
He was the widower of Thelma Bailey Daniels.
Surviving are a son, Asa C. of Woodward; a daughter, Bonnie L. Bailey of Halifax; a sister, Clara Rosemerski of Williamsport; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at the convenience of the family in Long's Cemetery.
Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.

Ralph Eugene Danner, 90, of State Road, Duncannon, died Sunday, June 14, 1998 at home.
He was a retired driver for Helms Motor Freight, an Army veteran and member of the Teamsters Union and Duncannon Senior Citizens.
Surviving are his wife, Cora A. Jagger Danner; a daughter, Shirley L. DiPaolo of Duncannon; two stepdaughters, Janet Brightbill of Etters and Nancy Rabin of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a stepson, William Mack of New Cumberland; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 17 at Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.

Evelyn H. Davis, 70, of New Bloomfield RR 2 died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998 at her Centre Twp. home.
She was born June 8, 1927 in Blain to the late Elmer and Dollie (Watts) Brickner. She attended Stony Point School and was a member of Little Germany Church of God.
She was the widow of Boyd E. Davis Sr.
Surviving are four sons, Dennis of Newport, Boyd Jr., Elmer and Frank, all of New Bloomfield; five daughters, Dollie Himes of New Bloomfield, Sue Stepp of Steelton, Bo Rusko of Middletown, Rae Belle Reeder of Fannettsburg and Lori Davis of Penfield; two sisters, Joyce McNeal of Harrisburg and Sara Rudy of Mechanicsburg; 23 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 22 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Alan K. Foor officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Robert W. DeLancy, 88, of S. Market Street, Millerstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998 at home.
He was born Dec. 20, 1909 in Millerstown to the late T. Frue and Edna (Stitzel) DeLancy.
He retired from the former Pennsylvania Railroad with 38 years service, had served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and had been a movie projectionist and telephone operator.
He was a graduate of the former Millerstown High School and a member of Millerstown United Methodist Church, Millerstown Fire Company and Ambulance League and the Retired Railroad Employees Organization.
He was the widower of C. Ruth Steerman DeLancy.
Surviving are three daughters, Marlene C. Leister of Millerstown, Dixie L. Baer of Mechanicsburg and Monta K. Brown of Tacoma, Wash.; a sister, June Beward of Edgewood, Md.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 13 in his church with the Revs. Arthur Montgomery and Donald Bailor officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Helen J. Demmy, 69, of Penbrook died Thursday, July 30, 1998 at home.
She was born in New Bloomfield in 1929 to the late Harry Guy Kinch and Mary E. Rheam of New Bloomfield.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa of Penbrook; a son, Keith of Harrisburg; a sister, Lorraine Kinch Whitmoyer of North Carolina, formerly of Landisburg; and an aunt and uncle, George and Evelyn Rheam of New Bloomfield.
Services were held Aug. 3 in her church with pastors Paul Baglyos and Paul Baranek officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery. Hetrick Funeral Home, Harrisburg, handled arrangements.
