Charlotte Duncan, 89, of Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998 at the home.
She was born Jan. 12, 1909 in Enola to the late Foster R. and Annie Olive (Rafensperger) Zang.
She was retired from Bell Telephone and a member of Duncannon Presbyterian Church.
She was the widow of W. Stewart Duncan.
Surviving are two sisters, Evelyn Winters of Halifax and Dorothy Roberts of Smithville, Texas; four brothers, Lucian Zang of Okeechobee, Fla., Paul Zang of Greenup, Ill., Gene Zang of Ruby, Mich., and John Zang of New Bloomfield.
Services were held Jan. 21 at Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Kenneth Forbes officiating. Burial was in Duncannon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 3 N. High St., Duncannon 17020.
Dr. John A. Dunkelberger, 91, of Centre Hall RR 1 died Saturday, May 30, 1998 in Centre Crest Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1906 in Spring Twp. to the late Franklin and Loretta (Smith) Dunkelberger.
He was an otologist in York and Gettysburg and performed the first microscopic surgery at York Hospital.
He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Landisburg RR 1, Sons of the American Revolution, American Medical Association, Pennsylvania and Centre County medical societies, State College Elks, Newport American Legion, past president of Adams County Medical Society and Continental Congress Chapter of SAR York, and a graduate of Penn State University and the University of Pennsylvania.
He was the widower of Thelma Baer Dunkelberger. Surviving are a son, John Jr. of Centre Hall; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 7:30 p.m., June 3, at Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Dennis Snyder officiating.

Roger S. Earnest Sr., 59, of Airy View Road, Shermans Dale, died Saturday, July 4, 1998 at home.
He was born July 8, 1938 in Union County to the late William and Dorothy (Ulrich) Earnest.
He was former owner of Skyline Restaurant, Newport; a former school bus contractor with West Perry School District; former salesman for M.A. Brightbill Body Works, Lebanon; self-employed with True Water Masters; and manager of Country Meadow Townhouses, New Bloomfield. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of Mount Gilead United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale, and the Pennsylvania School Bus Association.
He was the widower of Ida M. Earnest, who died May 28, 1998.
Surviving are three sons, Roger Jr. of Susquehanna Twp., Craig F. of Loysville and Terry W. of Shermans Dale; two daughters, Pamela Y. Dum of Elliottsburg and Roxanne S. Daihl of Harrisburg; and 10 grandchildren.
Services were held July 11 in his church with the Revs. Peter M. Beddia and Kenneth E. Miller officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.
Richardson Funeral Home, Enola, handled arrangements.

Dudley F. Edwards Jr., 62, of Fox Hollow Road, Shermans Dale, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born April 23, 1936 in New York to the late Dudley and Mary (Mulwane) Edwards.
He was an employee of Woolcox Forging, Mechanicsburg, and a member of Young's United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel M. Edwards; a stepson, Francis Donovan Jr. of Millerstown; a stepdaughter, Ginger Ann Donovan of Shermans Dale; and two stepchildren.
Graveside services were held Oct. 20 in Pisgah United Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Woolever officiating.

Luther F. Ehlman, 92, of Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, formerly of Ickesburg RR 1, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998 at the village.
He was born Nov. 7, 1905 in Northeast Madison Twp. to the late Frank and Sarah (Dobbs) Ehlman.
He was a retired biology and science teacher in the Upper Freehold School District, Allentown, N.J. Prior to that he was a principal and part-time teacher at Susquehanna Twp. High School. For 12 years he taught chemistry and biology in Philadelphia at Brown College Preparatory School. He was a graduate of Shippensburg State College, and received a master's degree at Columbia University. He also accumulated credits at University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, University of Delaware, Penn State University and Bucknell University. He was a member of Messiah Village Chapel, Airstream Wally Byam Club, and a former member of Sandy Hill United Church of Christ, Loysville RR 1.
Surviving is his wife, Marie (Mayer) Ehlman, also of Messiah Village. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Services were held March 21 in Messiah Village Chapel with pastor Janet Peifer officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery, Saville Twp.
Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, handled arrangements.

Herbert F. Eichelberger, 76, of Flowers Lane, Marysville, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was a retired stonemason; an Army veteran of World War II and Bronze Star recipient; and a member of Harrisburg Mountainside Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are his wife, Betty H.J. Roberts Eichelberger; three daughters, Carol A. Chaft of Phillipsburg, N.J., Donna L. Bunch of Glendale, Ariz., and Dolly J. Knopick of Marysville; three sons, Herby L. of New Bloomfield and Rick J. and Dennis R., both of Marysville; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 14 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.
Dianne Evonne Engle, 51, of Liverpool Twp. died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998 at home.
She was graduate of Englewood High School, Jacksonville, Fla.; and a member of Liverpool Fire Company, Liverpool Ambulance League and the Susquehanna Basset Hound Club.
Surviving are her husband, Albert Kenneth Engle; a daughter, Evonne Marie Varner of Milton RR 5; her mother, Ethel M. Cook Stewart Taylor of Alma, Ga.; a brother, Jerry H. Stewart, and a sister, Debra K. Stewart, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepbrothers, Russell and Ricky Taylor and one stepsister, Pamela Taylor, all of Georgia; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 5 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool. Burial was in St. John (Barners) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RR 1.
Harold R. "Mike" Erby, 72, of Aqueduct Road, Duncannon, formerly of Middletown, died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998 in Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, Harrisburg.
He was retired from the state Department of Agriculture; an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II; a member of the Hershey Italian Club; and a former member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown.
Surviving are two sons, Harold R. Jr. of San Francisco, Calif., and David B. of Carlisle; a brother, Lynn of California; a sister, Thelma Milkovich of Middletown; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 7 in Seven Sorrows Church. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Middletown.
