Dr. Maynard S. Fenner, 82, of McAlisterville died Sunday, May 24, 1998 at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin, where he had been a resident for two weeks.
He was born Jan. 19, 1916 in Kirtland, Ohio, to the late Sherman A. and Elizabeth M. (Malkie) Fenner.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Dorcas Apple Fenner; two sons, Phillip of Miami, Fla., and Craig of Port Royal; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Fenner.
He graduated from Chardon High School, Chardon, Ohio, completed pre-med studies at Juniata College, Huntingdon, and Messiah College, Grantham, then graduated from Chiropractor College, Davenport, Iowa. He retired in 1981 after 30 years of practice in Newport and Mifflintown. He was a member of the Bunkertown Church of the Brethren, McAlisterville RR 1, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Services were May 28 in Lost Creek Mennonite Church, Mifflintown RR 1, with the Revs. Elwood O. Johnson and Robert Smith officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Sheaffer Funeral Home, McAlisterville, handled arrangements.
W.J. "Jim" Fillers Sr., 60, of Newport RR 3 died Thursday, June 11, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Aug. 27, 1937 in Tennessee to William and Mary (Weaver) Fillers.
He was a driver for Preston Trucking Co. and an Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Beers Fillers; two daughters, Deborah J. McMillen of Shermans Dale and Della E. Fillers of Newport; a son, W.J. Jr. of Shermans Dale; two sisters, Jay Fillers of Nashville, Tenn., and Mary Hale of Johnson City, Tenn.; two brothers, William of Piney Flats, Tenn., and Bruce of Georgia; and five grandchildren.
Services were held June 14 in Neumyer Funeral Home, Harrisburg. Burial was at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Harrisburg Area Inc., 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg 17111.
Elvira Angeline Fink, 69, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Marysville, died Monday, March 23, 1998 in Anchorage.
She was born April 23, 1928 in Marysville to the late Francisco and Carrie (DiCampli) Zulli.
She was a graduate of Marysville High School; worked as a secretary for the Ohio Casualty Insurance Company, retiring in 1981. She moved to Alaska in June of 1995 and was a member of St. Andrew's Parish. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and bird watching.
Surviving are her husband, William K. Fink Sr.; a son, William Jr. of Eagle River, Alaska; two brothers and two sisters in Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, William III and Julie Fink.
Services were held March 28 in Eagle River.
Evergreen's Eagle River Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Grace V. Finkenbinder, 91, of Texas Eastern Road, Shermans Dale, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998 in Church of God Home, Carlisle.
She was born Jan. 14, 1907 in Duncannon. She was former postmaster of Shermans Dale, member of Shermans Dale United Methodist Church, Historical Society of Perry County and a founding patron of Perry Health Center.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jane Myers of Shermans Dale; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 26 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Bruce Woolever officiating. Burial was in Duncannon Cemetery.

Mildred R. Fish, 88, of Sunrise Extended Care Facility, Elkton, Md., died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998 after a long illness.
Raised in Duncannon, she was the daughter of the late Harry O. and Minnie E. Steele.
She was married to Theodore G. Fish, who died Jan. 6, 1995.
Surviving are three sons, Dennis P. of Albuquerque, N.M., Donald J. of Chesapeake City, Md., and Darryl L. of Palmer, Alaska; and a sister, Bertha E. Stuckey of Lockport, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, William L., J. Harrison and Brant F. Steele.
Services were held Nov. 17 in R.T. Foard Funeral Home, Chesapeake City, Md. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City.
Mettie Ardella Fisher, 95, of the Normandie Ridge Nursing Home, York, formerly of High Street, Millerstown, died Monday, June 15, 1998 in the home.
She was born Aug. 25, 1902 at Newport to the late Ibra Jacob and Emma Jane (Keister) Longacre.
She was a former file clerk for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and a member of Millerstown United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of John Charles Fisher.
Surviving are two sons, William C. of York and Arthur R. of Newport; two sisters, Kathryn Boyer of Duncannon and Betty Wentz of Millerstown; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held in her church June 19 with the Rev. Arthur L. Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Millerstown Riverview Cemetery.

Samuel F. Fisher, 46, of Blain RR 1 died Sunday, May 17, 1998 at home.
He was born June 18, 1951 in Ronks to Salome (Fisher) Fisher of Loysville RR 2 and the late Benjamin S. Fisher Sr.
He was a farmer and also worked for his brother at Fisher Structures, Loysville RR 2 and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Sadie K. King Fisher; three sons, Melvin K., David K. and Daniel K., all at home; four daughters, Esther K. Fisher of Newburg, and Ada Mae, Salome K. and Rebecca K., all at home; six brothers, Elam and David, both of Loysville, Elmer of Blain, and Ben Jr., J. Raymond and Amos, all of Gap; and one grandson, Mahlon F. Fisher.
Services were held May 19 at his home. Burial was in Ridgeview Cemetery, Loysville RR 1.

Arthur W. Fleming, 77, of N. High Street, Duncannon, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998 at a son's home.
He was born Nov. 24, 1920 in Tenaha, Texas, to the late Clayburn and Dora (Green) Fleming.
He was retired from West Shore Oil Co. and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Helen L. Seiders Fleming; two sons, David of Winston-Salem, N.C., and James of Newport; a brother, Earl of Tenaha, Texas; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold C. and James S.
Services were held Jan. 27 at Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with pastor David Baird officiating. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
