John Calvin Flick, 69, of the Donna Sweger DomCare Home, Ickesburg, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born June 21, 1929 in Perry County to the late William and Nora Mae (Bitting) Flick.
He was a member of the Aurora Club, Blain Senior Citizens and attended the Helen Stevens Center and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ickesburg.
Surviving is a sister-in-law, Pauline Flick of Perry County.
Services were held Oct. 1 in St. Paul's Church with the Rev. James Gold officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery, Saville Twp.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

James C. Flickinger Jr., 76, of S. School Street, Millerstown, died Monday, Aug. 24, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Sept. 24, 1921 at Newport to the late James C. Sr. and Stella (Auker) Flickinger.
He was retired from PP&L as a lineman for 37 years; a graduate of Millerstown High School; an Air Force veteran of World War II; post quartermaster of Perry County Council of Foreign Wars; member and former treasurer of VFW Post 5049, Millerstown; member and past secretary and treasurer of Tennis Lodge 371, F&AM, Thompsontown; past secretary and treasurer of Millerstown Fire Company and Ambulance; a trustee of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 925; and a member of Millerstown United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 364, Liverpool, Newport Social Order of Owls, Zembo Temple, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Tall Cedars of Lebanon - Juniata Valley Forest 88, Royal Arch Chapter 288, Newport, PP&L Line Wire Club, Kilowatt Craftsmans Club, and a 30-year member of the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association.
Surviving are his wife, Jane E. Nipple Flickinger; a son, Terry of Millerstown; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Flickinger, and a sister, Mildred Rhoades.
Services were held Aug. 27 in Nickel Funeral Home, Millerstown, with the Rev. Arthur L. Montgomery officiating. Burial was Millerstown Riverview Cemetery.

Darwin Foltz, 65, of McAlisterville RR 2 died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998 at home.
He was born Jan. 5, 1933 in Van Wert to the late Jessie H. and Nettie H. (Graybill) Foltz.
He retired in 1995 after 17 years as a cabinet maker with Pannebaker Cabinets Inc. of McAlisterville; formerly employed for 17 years as a master mechanic for Ganoe Motors, Lewistown, and a former employee of Philip Rothenberg Shirt Factory of East Salem, Cupp Plymouth, Millerstown, and Glenn Nace Plumbing, Millerstown. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of American and St. John's United Methodist Church, McAlisterville RR 2, where he was a men's Sunday school teacher, a trustee, and a member of the church's men's group and bible study class.
Surviving are his wife, Leona E. Varner Foltz; a son, Harold L. Foltz of Carlisle; a brother, James Foltz of Middleburg; a sister, Helen Shirk of Mifflinburg; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Alvin, Melvin and Robert; and two sisters, Lena Woodring and Mary Davis.
Services were held Feb. 3 in his church with the Rev. Ronald E. Landis officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery. Sheaffer Funeral Home, McAlisterville, handled arrangements.

Robert E. Foltz, 87, of Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, died Sunday, May 24, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born Oct. 8, 1910 in Newport to the late Jesse and Emma (Rohm) Foltz.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II; a member, past trustee and chairman of the building committee of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg; and a member of Eureka Lodge 302 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Cumberland County Shrine Club, Zembo Luncheon Club, Mechanicsburg VFW 6704 and Mechanicsburg American Legion 109.
Surviving are his wife, Edythe A. Norris Foltz; a daughter, Joyce A. Goodyear of Ventura, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Services were held May 27 in his church with the Rev. Dr. Elwood Zimmerman and the Revs. David M. Schmuck and E. Luke Carlson officiating. Burial was in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

Robert E. "Bob" Foose, 73, of Silver Spring Twp., Mechanicsburg, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998 at home.
He was born April 25, 1925 in Perry County to the late Harry D. and Stella (Kennedy) Foose.
He was a self-employed painter and paper hanger; formerly employed by the Naval Supply Depot, Mechanicsburg; a graduate of Rider College, N.J.; a veteran of the European Theater of World War II; and a member of Young's United Methodist Church and Sunday school, Mechanicsburg, where he was a former Sunday school teacher, member of the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee, former church trustee, assistant lay leader and head church usher of 13 years.
Surviving are his wife, Frieda K. Foose; one son, Ronald E. of Cromwell, Conn.; two daughters, Diana K. Milligan of Mechanicsburg and Debra A. Hinkle of Stewartstown; one brother, the Rev. William Foose of Quincy, Ill.; three sisters, Frances Georgeff of Madison, Ill., Ruth Buck of Enola and Martha Lyons of Landisburg; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 27 in his church with the Rev. Paul C. Kauffman officiating. Burial was in Stone Church Cemetery, Silver Spring Twp.

John M. Foreman, 81, of Liverpool RR 1 died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born June 26, 1917 in Willow Grove to the late Amos and Estella (Shearer) Foreman.
He was a former truck driver for Motor Freight Express; served with the Merchant Marines in World War II; and a member of Teamsters Union Local 776 of Harrisburg.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Ruth E. Clark Foreman; two sons, John F. and Donald E., both of Liverpool RR 1; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George; a sister, Mary Harlan; and a granddaughter, Angela Foreman.
Services were held Dec. 31 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with the Rev. Ray Hatcher officiating. Burial was in Barner's Lutheran Cemetery, Liverpool RR 1.
Gloria Fosselman, 65, of Elliottsburg RR 2 died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born March 20, 1932 in Juniata County to the late Clarence and Emma (Feltman) Schrader.
She was a contractor for West Perry Transportation and a former employee of Carlisle Tire and Rubber; and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Millerstown.
Surviving are her husband, Albert J. "Bob" Fosselman; a niece, Shana Rollason of Elliottsburg, who she helped raise; two brothers, Calvin D. Schrader of Harrisburg and Palmer W. Schrader of Millerstown; and eight sisters, Ruth Swartz of Mount Pleasant Mills, Virginia Keisling of Millerstown, Louella Shellenberger of Missoula, Mont., Joyce M. Boyer and Mary E. Campbell, both on Newport, Phyllis Renninger of Thompsontown, Margaret Rollason of Elliottsburg and Susan Gardner of Duncannon.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Schrader of Richfield.
Services were held Feb. 25 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Richard Reese officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Brenda Lee Forsyth, 36, of Maple Lane, Shermans Dale, died Dec. 28, 1998 in Hershey Medical Center as the result of injuries sustained in an auto accident on Dec. 24 on Route 850 near Shermans Dale.
She was born Feb. 22, 1962 in Sunbury to Roberta Bell (Hall) Strouse of Mifflinburg and the late John C. Strouse, who died in April 1988.
She was employed in Harrisburg by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Association; had attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Northumberland; a 1980 graduate of Shikellamy High School, Sunbury; a NASCAR fan; and enjoyed camping, movies and doing crafts.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Allan Strouse in 1971.
Services were held Jan. 2 in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff D. Wakeley officiating.
