Anna Ruby Hollandsworth, 72, of 8th Street, Watsontown, and formerly of New Bloomfield, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998 in Kramm Nursing Home, Watsontown.
She was born May 20, l926 in Shermans Dale to the late Oscar and Ada Stoops.
She was a member of New Bloomfield United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Surviving are a son, William of Bassett, Va.; a daughter, Barbara Hollandsworth of Pompano Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Maynard and Mark Stoops, both of Shermans Dale; and two sisters, Shirley Bagley of Stafford, Va., and Treva Broich of Owego, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Lee Black; two brothers, Raymond and Floyd Stoops; and her foster parents Norman and Grace Black.
Graveside services were held June 2 in New Bloomfield Cemetery with the Rev. Daniel Hickes officiating.
Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, handled arrangements.
Thomas A. Holleran, 84, of Kings Highway, Marysville, died Tuesday, Jan. 20,1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital.
He retired from the Harrisburg Post Office; was an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Marysville, and the Marysville Lions Club.
He was the widower of Gwendolyn R. Rogers Holleran.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda H. Zeiders of Millerstown RR 2; a son, James A. of Harrisburg; two brothers, Roger and Jim, both of Tioga; two sisters, Theresa Cruz of Norwich, N.Y., and Alice McHale of Corning, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 24 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.
Paul R. Holley, 71, formerly of S. Fourth Street, Newport, died Monday, Aug. 31, 1998 in Stonebridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon.
He was a retired railroader and a former social member of Newport VFW Post 34. He was the widower of Ruth M. Page Holley.
Surviving are three sons, Paul R. Lowmman of York Haven and Paul R. Page and Gary E. Page, both of Newport; three daughters, Debra Delancey of Newport, Cathy L. Spiglemeyer of Middleburg and Diana L. Mangle of Liverpool; seven brothers, Robert of New Bloomfield and Donald, James, Kenneth, David, Charles and Ralph, all of Newport; two sisters, Carrie Beers and Irene Rudy, both of Newport; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 4 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

Ruth M. Holley, 61, of S. Fourth Street, Newport, died Thursday, May 28, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born Sept. 1, 1936 in Harrisburg to the late Harvey and Annabelle (Arnold) Page.
She was a member of Pleasant Valley Brethren in Christ Church, Elliottsburg.
Surviving are her husband, Paul R. Holley; two sons, Paul R. and Gary E. Page, both of Newport; three daughters, Debra Delancey of Newport, Cathy L. Spiglemeyer of Middleburg and Diana L. Mangle of Liverpool; a brother, Jack Arnold of Newport; a sister, Edna Kell of New Bloomfield; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 1 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Arthur Steckel officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

Erma V. Holmes, 79, formerly of Millerstown, Mifflintown and Stonebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born Jan. 19, 1919 in Juniata County to the late Nevin and Minnie Gill.
She was the widow of Raymond L. "Pete" Holmes.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald L. of Blain and Robert L. of Liverpool; a daughter, Jean Stelter of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard N. Holmes, and two infant sons.
Services, with the Rev. Kenneth Forbes officiating, were held at the convenience of the family. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Pauline E. Holmes, 89, of ManorCare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Camp Hill, formerly of Harrisburg, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born Nov. 2, 1908 in Susquehanna Twp., Dauphin County, to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Peiffer) Fox.
She formerly worked for Reeds Bakery and the Broad Street Market and was a member of Second United Church of Christ.
She was the widow of Stewart S. Holmes.
Surviving are three stepdaughters, Janet L. Cunkle and Lucille M. Maguire, both of Duncannon, and Mary E. Roden of Harrisburg; nine step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-granddaughter.
Services were held Sept. 23 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Thomas Springman officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon.

Louise M. Hopkins, 96, formerly of N. Second Street, Newport, died Tuesday, July 14, 1998 in the LGAR Health and Rehabilitation Center, Turtle Creek.
She was born Sept. 2, 1901 in Altoona to the late George and Catherine Parsons.
She retired as a secretary from the former Grubb and Armstrong, Harrisburg; was a graduate of the former Duncannon High School; and a Protestant.
She was the widow of Harry J. Hopkins.
Surviving are three nephews, Leroy and Ray Corley, both of North Versailles, and James Lesh of Newport.
Services were held July 18 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Paul Case officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.
Herbert Henry "Herb" Hornberger, 78, of Richfield HCR 72 died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1998 in Sunbury Community Hospital.
He was born Dec. 1, 1919 at Richfield RR 1 to the late Henry S. and Jennie (Graybill) Hornberger.
He was owner-operator of Hornberger's Garage; an employee of Flying Eagle Security Service Co. at Apex Homes, Middleburg; and formerly had been employed by Regester Chevrolet Company, Middletown Air Depot and BKW Bus Lines; and a member of Richfield United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Virginia Aucker Hornberger; one son, Barry H. of Selinsgrove; two daughters, Vicki L. Nornhold of Richfield RR 1 and Brenda S. Hassinger of Port Trevorton; one brother, Merrill Hornberger of Selinsgrove; three sisters, Ferne Snyder and Helen "Marie" House, both of Richfield RR 1, and Faye Smith of Lewisburg; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Hornberger; three sisters, Irma Hart, Iva Brown and Carrie "Violet" Carvell; one half-brother, Dewey Hornberger; and one half-sister, Ella Renninger.
Services were held Aug. 15 in his church with the Rev. Dr. Almon D. Baird officiating. Burial was in Richfield Union Cemetery. Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, handled arrangements.
