HELEN W. JOHNSON
Helen W. Johnson, 82, of Lincoln Street, Marysville, formerly of Milroy, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (MacDowell) Winegardner.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Marysville.
She was the widow of Ernest H. Johnson. Surviving are one daughter, Megan E. Johnson, with whom she lived; one son, Meldon E. Johnson of Glendale, Ariz.; one granddaughter; and two great-granddaughters.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Nov. 27, in her church. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Arrangements are being handled by the Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville.

VINCENT L. JOHNSON
Vincent L. "Vince" Johnson, 89, of Greenwood Street, Millerstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
He was born Jan. 21, 1908 at Ickesburg to the late Ira M. and N. Estelle (Booda) Johnson.
He was retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot and formerly was a farmer; a Navy veteran of World War II; a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ickesburg, Adams Lodge 319 F&AM, New Bloomfield, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Perry-Juniata Shrine Club, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple, Millerstown Fire Company and Millerstown Ambulance Association.
Surviving are a companion, Ruth Savercool of Millerstown; two daughters, Joanne E. Fritz of Ickesburg RR 1 and Ivetta M. Neidigh of Blain; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph "Dip", Charles "Chiz" and Harold "Pip"; and a grandson, Ronald Neidigh.
Services were held Jan. 23 in his church with the Revs. Karen Easterly and Arthur Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Millerstown Riverview Cemetery. Nickel Funeral Home, Millerstown, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Suite 200, Wormleysburg 17043.

ETHEL M. JONES
Ethel M. Jones, 88, of Pine Hill Road, Duncannon, died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
She was born March 6, 1910 in Wheatfield Twp. to the late Elmer S. and Sara Jane (Tressler) Owen.
She was a former secretary of the Wheatfield Township School Board; a member and former Sunday school teacher of Dellville United Methodist Church and a member of its Willing Workers Sunday School Class; and a member of Shermanata Grange 1796, Perry County Pomona Grange and the Pennsylvania State and National granges, New Bloomfield Rebekah Lodge 428 and the Past Grands Club of Rebekahs.
She was the widow of Warren F. Jones.
Surviving are a daughter, Marilyn C. Foose of Duncannon; a son, Merle F. of Duncannon; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 17 in her church with the Rev. Robert Stump officiating. Burial was in Dellville Cemetery.
Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.

MARGARET JONES
Margaret Jones, 83, of Duncannon RR 4 died Wednesday, June 17, 1998 at home.
She was born May 9, 1915 in Philadelphia to the late Henry and Cora Haas.
She retired as a teacher from Susquenita High School; was a graduate of Temple University; and a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Duncannon, Delta Zeta sorority, Perry County School Employees and Order of the Amaranth Supreme Council, Harrisburg.
Surviving are her husband, James T. Jones; a son, James R. of Duncannon RR 4; and three granddaughters.
Graveside services were held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with the Rev. Michael B. Brossman officiating.
Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.

EDWIN P. JUNK
Edwin P. Junk, 38, of Forest Court, Carlisle, died Monday, May 25, 1998 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born May 7, 1960 in Carlisle to John H. and Arlene E. (Gibbons) Junk, with whom he lived.
He was an employee of MJ Mall Theaters, Carlisle; attended West Perry High School and was a member of the wrestling team; and was a member of Farmers Grove Church of the Brethren, Port Royal.
In addition to his parents, surviving are a brother, John G. Junk of Carlisle; and four sisters, Joanne E. Fisher, Elaine Kling, Kathy J. Kirkpatrick and Karen S. McDonald, all of Loysville.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi M. Junk.
Services and burial were held at the convenience of the family. Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, handled arrangements.

DORIS W. JURY
Doris W. Jury, 72, of Lakeside Avenue, West Hanover Twp., died Tuesday, April 21, 1998 at Hershey Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 1, 1926 in Newport to the late John J. and Esther C. (Campbell) Wilt.
She was the owner and director of Sylvan Learning and Technology Center, Harrisburg. She was a member and former organist and choir director of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown; on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania State Board of Education; and formerly was the organist and choir director at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Linglestown.
She was the widow of I. Leslie "Sam" Jury Jr.
Surviving are two sons, Brian K. of Schnecksville and Blake L. of Greenville, S.C.; a daughter, Brenda W. Radle of Hummelstown; a sister, Lynn McNaughton of Elliottsburg; and four grandchildren.
Services were held April 24 at her church.
Buse Funeral Home, Hummelstown, handled arrangements.

IDA M. KAUFFMAN
Ida M. Kauffman, 89, of Kinkora Home, Duncannon, formerly of Mifflintown, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She previously worked in a dress factory and was a member of Centre Lutheran Church, Mifflintown.
She was the widow of John W. Kauffman.
Surviving are a daughter, Ethel M. Kauffman of Mifflintown; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 25 at Guss Funeral Home, Mifflintown. Burial was in Adams Cemetery, Mifflintown.

LILA KELLER
Lila Keller, 90, of River Bend Drive, Advance, N.C., died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998 at Davie County Hospital.
She was born May 3, 1908 in Marysville to the late Max and Daisy (Swartz) Eppley.
She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, West Shore Country Club, Order of the Eastern Star and Holy Spirit Hospital Auxiliary.
She was the widow of Ivin Moyer, who died in 1958, and Maynard Keller, who died in 1986.
Surviving are two sons, Terry Moyer of Advance, N.C., and Keith Moyer of Chester Springs, Pa.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Maxwell Eppley, and a sister, Louise Toomey.
Services were held Oct. 23 in her church with the Rev. Bruce Gearhart officiating. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.
Davie Funeral Home, Mocksville, N.C., handled arrangements with assistance from Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville.
