STANLEY C. KITNER
Stanley C. Kitner, 71, of Piketown Road, Harrisburg, died Monday, April 13, 1998 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Feb. 13, 1927 in New Bloomfield to the late Christian and Edna Mae (Shearer) Kitner.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Kitner; a daughter, Mim Strauss; a sister, Ada Baker of Carlisle; two brothers, Norman of Shermans Dale and David of Millerstown RR 1; and a granddaughter, Becky Strauss.
Services were held April 16 in his church, Mt. Laurel Church of God, Piketown Road, Harrisburg. Burial was in the church Cemetery.

MERLE B. KNISELY
Merle B. Knisely, 88, of Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield, formerly of Newport RR 4, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born Sept. 8, 1910 in Markelsville to the late John D. and Lula (Baker) Knisely.
He had been a self-employed farmer; had worked at the former Breyer's Ice Cream plant in Millerstown; was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church and Oliver Grange 1069, Wila; and had attended Donnally Mills United Methodist Church.
He was the widower of Helen Burd Knisely and Miriam Lewis Knisely.
Surviving are a son, John W. of Newport; a daughter, Joyce E. Kline of Carlisle; a stepson, Blair Goodling of Mount Pleasant Mills; a stepdaughter, Arlene Yohn of South Carolina; two brothers, Kenneth of Millerstown and Darwin of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Goldie Minnich of White Mills and Faye Hammaker of Marysville; a grandson; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 19 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Patricia Woolever officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, P.O. Box 96, New Bloomfield 17068.

ELIZABETH S. KNOUSE
Elizabeth S. Knouse, 88, of Newport RR 3 died Friday, June 19, 1998 at home.
She was born Nov. 27, 1909 in York to the late Spurgeon and Clara (Amon) Goodling.
She had been co-owner of the former Greenwood Farm and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ickesburg.
She was the widow Charles W. Knouse.
Surviving are two sons, Cloyd A. and Charles F., and a daughter, Claire M. Snyder, all of Newport RR 3; a sister, Jeanette Young of Sante Fe, N.M.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Spurgeon Goodling, and two grandchildren.
Services were held June 23 in her church with the Rev. Karen Easterly officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

DONALD E. KRAFT
Donald E. Kraft, 88, of Fourth Street, Newport, died Monday, March 23, 1998 at home.
He was born March 14, 1910 in Newport to the late Charles E. and Mary (Mitchell) Kraft.
He was a retired butcher and Newport borough employee; retired as a truck driver from Sunnydale Farms, Elliottsburg; and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Social Order of Owls, both of Newport, and Newport Fire Company and Newport Ambulance League.
He was the widower of Ruth Bitting Kraft.
Surviving are a companion, Edna Hampton; a son, James E., a daughter, Mary M. Maxwell, and a brother, Herman M., all of Newport; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 27 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Arthur Steckel officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

JOHN A. KRALY
John Albert Kraly, 89, of Loysville RR 1, formerly of Lemoyne died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998 at home.
He was born in Landisburg to the late Joseph and Cora (Greger) Kraly.
He was a retired crane operator from Bethlehem Steel Corp., Steelton plant; a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Lemoyne, and Lemoyne Senior Citizens. He was the widower of Christine A. Bell Kraly.
Surviving are a son, Donald R., with whom he lived; a brother, Robert W. of Mechanicsburg; three sisters, Lula Kallas and Rose Myers, both of Mechanicsburg, and Erma Gutshall of Camp Hill; two grandsons; one great-grandson; and one great-stepgranddaughter.
Services were held Feb. 11 in Neumyer Funeral Home, Harrisburg. Burial was in Slate Hill Cemetery, Camp Hill.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, 700 Market St., Lemoyne 17043, or Dogwood Hospice, 1200 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle 17013.

MARGARET C. KUGLER
Margaret Catherine Koerner Kugler, 82, of W. Main Street, New Bloomfield, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998 at home.
She was a former legal secretary in her husband's law practice.
She was a member of New Bloomfield United Methodist Church and formerly its administrative board, church treasurer and Sunday school teacher; former Boy and Girl Scout leader; member of Perry Chapter 459, Order of Eastern Star; and Central Perry Community Senior Citizens.
She was the widow of Judge Charles W. Kugler.
Surviving are a son, Edwin L. of Morgantown, W.Va.; a daughter, Joanne K. Hammond of Chambersburg; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 3 at her church. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Boyer Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

ELNORA E. KULP
Elnora E. Kulp, 83, of New Bloomfield Road, Duncannon, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born Dec. 17, 1914 in Duncannon to the late Josiah and Catharine (Roth) Maxwell.
Surviving are her husband, John H. Kulp Sr.; two sons, John H. Jr. of Oberlin and Robert E. of Millersburg; a daughter, Gladys M. Feltman of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 27 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with Dr. Michael Goodling and Rev. Randall Goshorn officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery.

MERVIN J. KULP JR.
Mervin J. Kulp Jr., 65, of Duncannon RR 4 died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998 at home.
He was born Sept. 8, 1932 at New Buffalo to the late Mervin J. Sr. and Blanch (Lowe) Kulp.
He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are two brothers, Eugene H. of Harrisburg and Wayne M. of Duncannon RR 4.
Services were held Feb. 5 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Fred Brungart officiating. Burial was in Hill Cemetery, Duncannon RR 4.
