Jeanette L. Smith, 48, of Valley Road, Carroll Twp., Shermans Dale, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born Jan. 29, 1950 in Lancaster to the late Kenneth G. and Margaret (Frysinger) Rohm.
She was a licensed practical nurse at HealthSouth Rehabilitation of Mechanicsburg, and had worked at Carlisle Hospital; was a graduate of West Perry High School; and a member of Bible Baptist Church, New Bloomfield.
Surviving are her husband, Junior H. Smith; two sons, Kenneth H. and Daniel J., both at home; three brothers, Kenneth G. Rohm Jr. of Bluefield, W.Va., Edward E. Rohm of Landisburg and Franklin S. Rohm of Gardners; and a sister, Sandra M. Eklund of Lewisberry.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene M. Rohm.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Nov. 5, in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. Perry Kile officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

R. Taintor Smith, 78, of Wyckoff, N.J., formerly of Newport, died Thursday, April 23, 1998, at his residence.
Born in Newport, he resided in Florida before moving to Wyckoff 40 years ago. He was a 1936 graduate from Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg; a 1941 graduate of Gettysburg College, Gettysburg; and received a Master of Science Degree in Chemistry from Lafayette College, Easton.
He retired in 1978 after 37 years as a chemist in the control laboratory of Shell Oil Co, Wood River, Ill. More recently he served as a salesman for the Asphalt and Lubricant divisions of Shell Oil Co. in Jacksonville and Hollywood, Fla., and New York, N.Y.
He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, Wyckoff, where he served as a choir member.
He also was a member of Ramapo Tennis Association, the Bayberry Tennis Club, Upper Saddle River, N.J., and the Waldwick Covered Courts, Waldwick, N.J.
He is survived by his wife, Helen "Toni" (Mondorf) of Wyckoff; three daughters, and a son-in-law, Sue and Carl Nortensen of Mahway, N.J., Becky Stier of Mahwah, N.J., and Barbara Smith of York.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 28, at Advent Lutheran Church, Wyckoff.
Arrangements were by the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, Wyckoff.

Wanda B. Smith, 58, of Mifflintown HCR 63 died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998 in Lewistown Hospital.
She was born July 7, 1940 in Lewistown to Mable (Bargo) Beale of Port Royal and the late Roy W. Beale.
She was a former cook at the Family House Restaurant, Mifflintown, and a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, and its Lloyd Showers Sunday School Class.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Richard C. Smith; a son, Douglas S. of Duncannon; a sister, Delores Henry of Honey Grove; and two grandsons.
Services were held Sept. 28 in her church with the Rev. William N. Esborn officiating. Burial was in McCoysville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 3 S. Third St., Mifflintown 17059.
Glenn L. Smithgall, 73, of Duncannon RR 4 died Monday, June 8, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born March 25, 1925 in Marysville to the late Palmer T. and Genevieve (Gawblick) Smithgall.
He was a former partner in Amity Enterprises, Duncannon RR 4; a graduate of the former Marysville High School and Williamsport Technical Institute; a member of the Marysville Moose lodge and Hughesville 40 et 8; and a social member of VFW Post 255 and the Newport American Legion post.
Surviving are a son, Glenn P., and a daughter, Vonnie L. King, both of Duncannon RR 4; a sister, Faye Heisley of Marysville; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were held June 11 in Montoursville Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Brungart officiating.
Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.
E. Marie Snyder, 95, of Manor Care Health Services, Camp Hill, formerly of Shiremanstown and Mesa, Ariz., died Tuesday, July 21, 1998 at Manor Care.
She was a member of Shiremanstown United Methodist Church and was a former worthy matron of the Perry Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the widow of Jesse H. Snyder.
Surviving are a son, Karl of Tinley Park, Ill.; two daughters, Lois Baumgardner of Shiremanstown and Rita Chatham of Landover Hills, Md.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 26 in her church. Meyers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church's building fund, 125 E. Main St., Shiremanstown 17011.
Evelyn A. Snyder, 57, of Landisburg RR 2 died Wednesday, July 1, 1998 at home.
She was born Dec. 16, 1940 in Harrisburg to the late Kenneth and Marie (Rapp) Seiler.
She had been employed by Pennsylvania Legal Services, New Bloomfield, and formerly worked at Uni-Mart, Lancaster. She was a member of the Women of the Moose 232, Newport.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne M. Stephens of Carlisle; two sons, Michael D. and William K., both of Landisburg; one brother and one sister, Robert Seiler and Blanche Bowersox, both of Liverpool; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial services were held July 7 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Alan K. Foor officiating. Burial was private.
H. Lenore Snyder, 80, of W. Main Street, New Bloomfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998 in the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
She was born May 6, 1918 in Loysville to the late John H. and Virginia (Brunner) Rice.
She was retired as a librarian with the Loysville Youth Development Center; had been a teacher's aide at Blain Elementary; a volunteer with the reading program at Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield; and a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Blain, where she had been a Sunday school teacher and member of the choir. She was the widow of Arthur E. Snyder.
Surviving are a daughter, Margo L. Kell of Carlisle; a brother, John B. Rice of Carlisle; two sisters, Alliene Bair of Landisburg RR 1 and Grace Clark of Camp Hill; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Rice, and two sisters, Erma Sheibley and Sara L. Lebo.
Services were held Aug. 15 in her church with the Rev. Frank J. Gassler officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

Violet Loretta Auman Snyder, 84, of Marysville died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998 at home.
She was a member of Areme Chapter 192, Order of the Eastern Star of Harrisburg, and was a Protestant.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth I. Snyder; a daughter, Barbara A. Barber, a son, Kenneth W., both of Enola; and three grandchildren.
Burial was in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.
