ANNA R. BELL
Anna R. Bell, 82, of Valley Road, Marysville, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999 in Suncoast Hospital, Largo, Fla.
She was a retired restaurant owner; co-founder along with her husband of Bellview Acres Development, Marysville; and a member of Glenvale Church of God, Rye Twp., Golden Age Club of Marysville, Marysville Senior Citizens Association and Ladies Auxiliary of the Marysville Fire Company where she was a former treasurer.
She was the widow of Hugh W. "Toby" Bell.
Surviving are one son, Jim Bell of Marysville; three daughters, Delores Powers of Mechanicsburg, Margie Baldwin and Beatie Evinger, both of Marysville; two brothers, Edgar and Lester Wolf, both of Marysville; four sisters, Clara Wolf, Ruth Gingrich and Nellie Varner, all of Marysville, and Sara Jane Kurtz of Newport; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 20 in her church. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.

BERNICE H. BELL
Bernice H. Bell, 79, of Susquehanna Twp., Dauphin County, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999 in Stonebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon.
She retired as a secretary from the former Joe the Motorist's Friend.
She was the widow of George L. Bell.
Surviving are a daughter, Georgiana Brown of Loysville; a son, Thomas G. of Blain; a sister, Doris Robinson of Allentown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 23 in Neill Funeral Home, Paxtang. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation, 17 S. 19th St., Camp Hill 17011.

HAROLD J. BELL
Harold J. Bell, 49, of New Germantown died there Friday, May 28, 1999 as the result of an accident while working on a car.
He was a Pennsylvania State Forest volunteer and a social member of Highspire VFW Post 8638.
Surviving are a daughter, Melissa Lynn Boneno of Louisiana; a son, Carl Edward S. Dendy of Middleburg, Fla.; five sisters, Jane Gipe of Hummelstown, Shirley Kinsey and Carol Messner, both of Honey Brook, Marlene Mackavage of Middletown and Diane Marano of Delaware; and three brothers, Stanley of Hummelstown, Edward Jr. of Coatesville and Robert of Highspire.
Graveside memorial services were held June 3 in Highspire Cemetery.
Knight Funeral Home, Highspire, handled arrangements.

MARTHA S. BENDER
Martha S. Bender, 85, of Hickory Lane, Briar Park, Dover, Del., died Thursday, July 29, 1999 at Bayhealth Care KGH.
She was born Aug. 17, 1913 to the late Elmer and Pearl (Ricedorff) Stambaugh.
She retired in 1978 after 20 years as a registered nurse with the Division of Public Health and was a graduate of the Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing in Harrisburg.
She was the widow of J. Russell Bender, who died in 1982.
Surviving is a grandson, Sean Byron of Dover, Del.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Daryl L. Byron, who died in 1980.
Trader Funeral Home, Dover, handled arrangements.

CHARLES E. BENNER
Charles E. Benner, 74, of Berryhill Road, Harrisburg, died Saturday, March 20, 1999 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born Oct. 17, 1924 in Snyder County to the late Elisha and Sarah (Kratzer) Benner.
Surviving are a nephew and nieces.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Services were held March 24 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with the Rev. Raymond Neitz officiating. Burial was in Aline United Methodist Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Mills.

MARY E. BERKHEISER
Mary E. Buchanan Berkheiser, 89, formerly of Hershey, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999 at the home of her nephew in Millerstown.
She was born Sept. 18, 1909 in Hershey to the late Charles R. and Lizzie (Lingle) Buchanan.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hershey, where she had served the Primary Class for 45 years, and attended the Millerstown Senior Center.
She was the widow of Earl W. Berkheiser.
Surviving is a sister, Anna S. Gelbaugh of Millerstown, and nieces and nephews.
Services were held Feb. 4 in her church with the Rev. Dr. Winfield J. Devonshire Jr. and the Rev. Arthur D. Steckel II.
Hoover Funeral Home and Crematory, Hershey, handled arrangements.

KENNETH E. BERRIER
Kenneth E. Berrier, 90, of Ickesburg died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999 at home.
He was born Feb. 15, 1908 in Saville Twp. to the late Adam and Anna (Barns) Berrier.
He had been a self-employed plumber and a former employee of Harry Kerr; a Navy veteran; a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Ickesburg Ambulance Club and Ickesburg Fire Company; and a charter member of the Ickesburg Lions Club.
Surviving are his wife, N. Emma Weibley Berrier; two daughters, Darlene A. Adams of New Bloomfield and Deloris E. Kitner of Loysville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
Services were held Feb. 8 in his church with the Rev. Karen Easterly officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery, Ickesburg RR 1.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

THOMAS E. BITNER
Thomas E. Bitner, 46, of Loysville died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was a mechanic for Defense Distribution Region East, Fairview Twp.; attended Middletown Area High School; was an Air Force veteran; and a member of Middletown American Legion Post 594 and the Marysville Firemen's bowling team in the West Shore Firemen's League at Trindle Bowl, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are his parents, Earl G. and Betty Bitner of Middletown; and four sisters, Gloria A. Bennis of Laurel, Md., Earla L. Shay of Loysville, Sandra E. deChamplain of Marysville and Carol Lynn Congrove of Worthington, Ohio.
Services were held Jan. 27 in Geigle Funeral Home, Harrisburg. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
