Bessie P. Christopher, 97, of Claremont Drive, Carlisle, and formerly of Millerstown RR 3 and Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Jan. 1, 1902 at Millerstown RR 3 to the late Harry and Gertrude (Pines) Pressley.
She retired as an occupational therapist from the Harrisburg State Hospital, Harrisburg; formerly worked as a cashier at the Hill Cafe, Harrisburg, and the Manhatten Store, Harrisburg; and was a member of Reward United Methodist Church, Millerstown.
She was the widow of Theodore M. Christopher.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan Pressley, and three sisters, Ann Anderson, Elsie Doughten and Dorothy Pressley.
Services were held Oct. 18 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Peter M. Beddia officiating. Burial was in Reward Cemetery.
Floyd W. "Bud" Clark, 69, of Sunbury Street, Millerstown, died Sunday, June 20, 1999 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
He was born Jan. 8, 1930 in Williamsport to the late Floyd W. and Sadie (Dorman) Clark.
He retired as an aeronautics engineer from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio; had worked at White Sands Proving Grounds, N.M., and Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown; was an Army veteran; a graduate of Penn State University; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and airplanes.
Surviving are two sisters, Gayle Johns Weigle of Millerstown and June C. Burtch of Columbus, Ohio; three nieces; two nephews; five great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
Services were held June 23 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Ray Hatcher officiating. Burial was in Hill Methodist Church Cemetery, Watts Twp.
Harry B. Clemm Sr., 85, of Red Hill Road, Dauphin, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999 at home.
He was born Nov. 14, 1913 in Harrisburg to the late Harry E. and Anna (Burd) Clemm.
He was a retired Amtrak engineer; a Navy veteran; a member of Brotherhood of Railroad Engineers and VFW Post 148, Union Deposit; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Workman Clemm; two sons, Harry B. Jr. of Dauphin and William R. of Harrisburg; two daughters, Anna Stinefelt of Baltimore and Ethel Taylor of Harrisburg; two sisters, Dorothea Stewart of Carlisle and Ann Shaub of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 9 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Bernard Fortna officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dauphin.
Dean E. "Sonny" Clouse, 65, of Carlisle Road, Gardners, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999 at Carlisle Hospital.
He was born Jan. 27, 1934 in Perry County to the late Harold and Viola (Dietz) Clouse.
He retired from Knouse Foods, Gardners.
Surviving are his wife, Linda L. Stouter Clouse; four daughters, Deborah L. Sheaffer and Michelle I. Tolley, both of Mt. Holly Springs, Lorie A. Weidner of Gardners and Tammy J. Albright of Newville; a brother, Harold E. of Gardners; a sister, Betty I. Heberlig of Mt. Holly Springs; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine I. Rickrode.
Services were held July 2 in Gibson-Hollinger Funeral Home, Mt. Holly Springs, with the Rev. Richard Reese officiating. Burial was in Mt. Victory Cemetery, South Middleton Twp.

Aaron Kurtz Cockley, 80, of Landisburg RR 1 died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999 at home.
He was born Oct. 11, 1919 in Susquehanna Twp., Dauphin County, to the late Aaron and Nellie Mae (Karns) Cockley.
He was a retired salesman for the former Beechnut Foods of New York; a 1938 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and a graduate of Central Penn Business School; a Navy veteran of World War II; a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Monroe Twp., Cumberland County, and VFW Post 6704, American Legion Post 109 and Eureka Lodge 302, all of Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Dautrich Cockley; two sons, Kurtz R. of Landisburg, Kent C. of Murrysville and Steven J. of Shermans Dale; four daughters, Karen D. Cockley of Middletown, Sandra D. Wilson of Millerstown, Linda S. Cockley of Springfield and Debra A. Cockley of Dillsburg; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 10 in Cocklin Funeral Home, Dillsburg, with the Rev. Anne K. Myers officiating.

William K. Collins, 92, formerly of Newport RR 2, died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999 in Nipple Convalescent Home, Liverpool.
He was born March 8, 1906 in Duncannon to the late William and Hannah (Keville) Collins.
He retired from Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co., also was a farmer, a Protestant, a member of the Newport Senior Citizen Center and enjoyed gardening, sports and walking.
He was the widower of Helen Smith Collins.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas E. of Carlisle; Paul W. of Shermans Dale and Robert E. of Newport; a daughter, Betty M. Koopman of Newport; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 2 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Michael Witmer officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery, Loysville.
Dorothy Evelyn Comp, 88, of Barnett Drive, Duncannon, died Monday, July 19, 1999 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She retired from State Farm Insurance Co.; was a graduate of the former William Penn High School, Harrisburg; and member of Fifth Street United Methodist Church, Harrisburg, its Les Fidelis Sunday School Class and the church bazaar and Easter egg makers group.
Surviving are a niece, Lisa Sellers, with whom she lived, and a sister, Miriam Cassidy, and brother, J. Lester Sr., both of Camp Hill.
Services were held July 22 in Geigle Funeral Home, Susquehanna Twp. Burial was in East Harrisburg Cemetery.

James S. Corbin, 93, formerly of Eddystone, Chester, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999 at West Shore Rehabilitation Center, Camp Hill.
He was born in Altoona.
He was a truck driver for Gulf Oil for 25 years and drove truck for other companies and was a member of Middletown Baptist Church and several senior citizens groups.
He was the widower of Mabel L. Shinn Corbin, who died in 1993.
Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Mende of Easton, Md., and Ruth Tucher of Vero Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 6 in Bateman Funeral Home, Brookhaven. Burial was in Lawncroft Cemetery, Linwood.
