Joseph S. Cranwell Sr., 79, of Windsor, Conn., died Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in Vernon, Conn.
He was born June 6, 1919 in Vancouver, B.C., Canada,to the late Sidney G. and Freda (Goodrich) Cranwell.
He worked as a jeweler for several years for Dieges and Clust of Providence, R.I., specializing in sales of school rings and awards.
Surviving are one son, Joseph S. Cranwell Jr. of West Suffield, Conn.; three daughters, Susan C. Osgood of Newport,Pa., Diane Shankey of Scituate, Mass., and Debra Ann Cranwell of Lee, Mass.; and nine grandchildren.
Services were held April 24 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Vernon, Conn.
Alice C. Sweger Crawford, 94, of E. Main Street, New Bloomfield, formerly of Wesley Drive, Lower Allen Twp., Cumberland County, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
She was born Nov. 13, 1904 at Erly to the late Sheridan and Mary R. (Kuller) Sweger.
She retired from the state Revenue Department; had sung in the Bethany Towers Choir; was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ickesburg; and had attended Camp Hill United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of Luther A. Crawford Sr, who died Dec. 29, 1972.
Surviving are three daughters, Larue A. Schlusser of Ickesburg, Sylvia M. Kerstetter of Harrisburg and Yvonne L. Trout of New Bloomfield; three sons, Luther A. Jr. and James L., both of Ickesburg, and Robert E. of Newport RR 2; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 22 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Reasey officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery, Loysville.
Edgar C. "Patty" Crull, 89, of State Road, Duncannon, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born Dec. 1, 1909 in Duncannon to the late Amos and Margaret (Cummings) Crull.
He was retired from Hempt Bros, Camp Hill; a former school bus driver for Rohrer Bus; a former employee Capital Police, Harrisburg; and an Army veteran of World War II and recipient of five bronze stars and Croix De Guerre.
He was the widower of Dorothy Hoffman Crull.
Surviving are one son, John E. Hoffman of Giddings, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 20 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. B. Michael Brossman officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.
Charlotte C. Dailey, 80, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Millerstown, died Saturday, Nov. 13, at home.
She was born in Vandergrift, Pa., to the late Isaac and Cora (Shearing) Phillips.
She enjoyed camping and worked as a volunteer for the Mended Hearts Association.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Philip Dailey. They lived in Los Alamos, N.M., before moving to Albuquerque.
Other survivors include a daughter, Donna, and her husband, Dr. Mike Hammer of Halfway, Ore.; a son, Dr. David Dailey, and his wife, Caron, of Grove City, Pa.; a brother, Edward Phillips of Leawood, Kan.; a sister, Erma Berry of Harrisburg; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 18 in French Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Smyrl officiating.

Mary Esther Danner, 74, of the Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon, formerly of Liverpool RR 1, died Thursday, April 8, 1999 in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born Feb. 6, 1925 in Steelton to the late William and Salome (Weaver) McDermott.
She retired as a parts inspector from IER Industries, was a former waitress for Friendly Tavern and a practical nurse at the former Snyder Convalescent Home; attended Steelton schools; a United Methodist; and a bingo enthusiast.
She was the widow of Enoch J. "Skip" Danner, who died March 30, 1979.
Surviving are a daughter, Ellen Stone of New Bloomfield RR 1; three sisters, Erma Zell of Elizabethtown, Bernice Hall of East Berlin and Stella McDermott of York; and one granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Neva Newlin, Edna Rollison, Bertha Russ, Florence Fishel and Ethel Campbell.
Services were held April 12 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with the Rev. Salvatore Buonocore officiating. Burial was in Liverpool Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kinkora Pythian Home, Patient Activities Fund, 25 Cove Road, Duncannon 17020.
Pinkney E. Davis, 67, of Pisgah Road, Spring Twp., Shermans Dale, died Sunday, July 4, 1999 at home.
He was an electrician.
Surviving are a son, Joseph E. of Conyers, Ga.; two brothers, James of Illinois and Arthur of Florida; two sisters, Frances Surby of Oregon and Betty Gully of Arizona; and two granddaughters.
Graveside services were held July 7 in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, handled arrangements.
William E. Davis Jr., 85, formerly of Marysville, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999 in Manor Healthcare East, Harrisburg.
He was a retired printer from the former Telegraph Press, Harrisburg; past president of the Susquenita School Board and the Marysville Lions Club; former member of the board of trustees of Harrisburg Area Community College; one of the founding members of the Perry County Endowment-Scholarship Fund at HACC; and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Perry Lodge 458, F&AM, and Buehler Lodge, Knights of Pythias, all of Marysville, and Harrisburg Consistory.
He was the widower of Frances K. Carmichael Davis.
Surviving are a brother, Ralph Davis of Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Dec. 22 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.

Charles L. Deckard, 95, of Ann Street, Duncannon, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999 at home.
He was born Jan. 15, 1903 in Pfoutz Valley to the late Emma Jane Deckard. He retired from the former Harrisburg Steel Co.; was an Army veteran; a member of Duncannon Fire Company and VFW Post 255; and enjoyed gardening.
He was the widow of Blanche Maxwell Deckard.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis A. Robison, and two brothers, Edgar and Leroy Herr, all of Duncannon; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles M. Deckard.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 14, in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Bernard Fortna officiating. Burial will be Union Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, in the funeral home.
