James G. Ford, 82, of S. Market Street, Duncannon, died Thursday, July 8, 1999 in Hershey Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 23, 1916 in Duncannon to the late Howard and Nellie Bender Smith Ford.
He was the retired owner of J. LeRue Hess Agency, Duncannon; an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II; a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Duncannon, American Legion Post 340, VFW Post 255, Duncannon High School Alumni Association, Marysville F&AM Lodge 458, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine and Newport Social Order of Owls; and enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Hess Ford; a son, James G. II of Marysville; a daughter, Jane L. Welfley of Newport; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 11 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. John Schaertel officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.

Bruce E. Forney, 67, of Newville died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999 in the Swaim Health Center, West Pennsboro Twp., Newville.
He was born Nov. 25, 1931 in Lower Mifflin Twp. to the late Earnest B. and Janetta Mary (Russell) Forney.
He was employed as a laborer at Knause Foods for 38 years; a 1950 graduate of Big Spring High School, an Army veteran of the Korean War; a member of Newville First Church of God and the Newville Senior Center; and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara B. Wright Forney; one son, William L. of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; one brother, Dean W. Forney of Newville; and one sister, Chloe E. Forney of Plainfield.
Services were held Oct. 20 in the Egger Funeral Home, Newville, with the Rev. Cronise Barr officiating. Burial was in Newville Cemetery.
Teddy E. Fosselman, 69, of Newport RR 2 died Sunday, March 21, 1999 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born May 29, 1929 in Donnally Mills to the late Vincent and Ellen (Barnes) Fosselman.
He retired from the Capitol Security Force; was a Navy veteran; a member of Market Street United Methodist Church, Newport; a beekeeper; and enjoyed woodworking.
He was the widower of Joanne V. Fosselman.
Surviving are a companion, Ann Marie Wesloskie of Colonial Park; two daughters, Ellen S. Nestos of Coral Springs, Fla., and Lynn P. Haunstein of Marysville; two brothers, Warren C. of Donnally Mills and Harold R. of Palmer, Alaska; a sister, Pauline Bennett of New Bloomfield; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held March 28 in his church with the Rev. Aden Wertz officiating.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Douglas S. Foster, 56, of Meadow Grove Road, Newport RR 1, died recently at home.
He retired from Honeywell Inc.; was a former member of the Perry County Planning Commission; and a master carpenter.
Surviving are a son, Charles H. of Goose Creek, S.C.; two daughters, Marie Foster-Sasaninejad of Roanoke, Va., and Aleta Foster Minium of Enola; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held in Roanoke.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Mary S. Foster,78, of Kamp Street, Duncannon, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born May 6, 1920 in Penn Twp. to the late John and Mellie (Shearer) Bothwell.
She retired from Lemoyne Sleeper; was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Duncannon, Liverpool American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary Unit 255, Newport Moose lodge and Duncannon High School Alumni Association; a life member of Meadow Grove Chapter 1, Perry County Sportsmen's Club; and enjoyed fishing and travel.
She was the widow of James R. Foster.
Surviving are a companion, Walter A. Wright Jr.; two sons, Barry W. of Duncannon RR 4 and Paul E. of Duncannon; a daughter,Mary Jane Sheaffer of Duncannon; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard J. Foster,and one daughter, Kay S. Hirt.
Services were held May 1 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon,with the Rev. Kenneth Forbes officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon.

Stanton E. Foy, 67, of Hoffman Road, Duncannon, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999 at home.
He retired from United Parcel Service in Harrisburg; was an Army veteran of the Korean War; and a member of Duncannon Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 340, New Bloomfield F&AM Lodge 319 and the Steelton Moose lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Helen P. Horton Foy; three sons, Donald G. of Duncannon, Craig A. of New Cumberland and Douglas E. of Marysville; a brother, David R. of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held Nov. 28 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.

Margaret R. Freeland, 84, formerly of Newport RR 1, died Saturday, March 13, 1999 in Thornwald Nursing Home, Carlisle.
She was born May 2, 1914 in Newport to the late Harry K. and Rebecca (Long) Stephens.
She was retired from Newport Dress Factory; and a member of Incarnation United Church of Christ, Newport Towpath Court Order of Amaranth 138; a life member of Newport Fire Company Auxiliary; and enjoyed sewing and cooking.
She was the widow of Belmont L. Freeland.
Surviving are a son, Lamar L. "Peck" of Carlisle; a brother, Wayne Stephens of Newport; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 18, at Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. E. Reginald Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Newport Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 7 to 8:45 p.m., March 17, with Amaranth services at 8:45.

Helen Mae Freet, 80, of Newport RR 2 died Monday, July 5, 1999 at home of excessive heat.
She was born Aug. 21, 1918 in Perry County to the late James E. and Margaret (Yohn) Comp.
She loved cats and other animals.
She was the widow of Samuel Charles Freet.
Surviving are three sons, Charles E. Freet of Newport, Donald E. Page of Harrisburg and Russell J. Freet of Long Branch, N.J.; two daughters, Hazel I. Wright of Newport and Peg J. Duncan of Loysville; a sister, Hazel I. Swartz of Elliottsburg; 30 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 8 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Kenneth Osborne officiating. Burial was in Eshcol Cemetery, Millerstown RR.
