Roxann G. Landis, 35, of Main Street, Woodbury, formerly of Perry County, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999 in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 6, 1964 in Carlisle to Shirley Campbell Landis of Millerstown RR 1 and the late Robert L. Landis.
She was a computer operator for National Imprint Corp., Claysburg; a youth soccer coach and referee; a Lutheran; and a member of the Roaring Springs Fire Company Auxiliary.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Richard L. Oldham; two sons, Richard F. and Derek L. Oldham, both at home; and three brothers, Terry L. Campbell and Perry E. Landis, both of Millerstown RR 1, and Michael R. Landis of Leakesville, Miss.
Services were held Oct. 23 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Sharon Erb officiating. Burial was Eshcol Cemetery, Millerstown RR 1.
Kathryn J. "Kate" Lauver, 84, of Newport died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999 in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born July 23, 1914 in Port Royal to the late James Nuel and Mary Ann (Bell) Flickinger.
She retired from Pennsylvania Blue Shield; was a former employee of Charles H. Burns Plumbing Contractors, Millerstown; a Methodist; and enjoyed playing bingo.
She was the widow of Edward S. "Skip" Lauver.
Surviving are two sons, Donald O. Thompson of McAlisterville and George E. Lauver of Concord, N.C.; three daughters, Mary Jane King of Carlisle, Frances K. Lauver of Harrisburg and Dorothy J. Stuckey of Duncannon; two brothers, Donald Flickinger of Spring Mills and Boyd Flickinger of Springtown; several nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Lauver Bechter, and a grandson, Todd Stuckey.
Services were held Feb. 1 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with her daughter, Mary Jane King, officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Patsy Ann Leiter, 65, of Duncannon died Sunday, March 14, 1999.
She was retired from the Susquenita School District and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Duncannon.
Surviving are her husband, John B. Leiter; four daughters, Lorraine Kay "Lori" Davidson of Burke, Va., Tami Sue Kearney of Duncannon, Jenny Ann Tobias of Halifax and Kathy Lynn Leiter of Heidelberg, Germany; a sister, Doris Sornberger of Marysville; and six grandchildren.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to any medical research organization or charity.
He was born Feb. 27, 1926 to the late Albert A. and Freda (Bupp) Lightner.
He was retired from the state; a veteran of World War II; and a member of Newport VFW.
He was the widower of Eunice C. Lightner.
Surviving are two sons, Mark and Alan, both of Ickesburg; two daughters, Melody Walborn of Newport and Delores Reisinger of Loysville; a brother, Lawrence, and a sister, Janice Rowe, both of Harrisburg; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 7 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Ronald Weigle officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Saville Cemetery.
Elizabeth "Libby" Lightner, 87, of Loysville RR 1 died Wednesday, March 17, 1999 in Swaim Health Center, Newville.
She was born Sept. 27, 1911 in Juniata Twp., Huntingdon County, to the late Joseph A. and Matilda M. (Hawn) Grubb.
She was a homemaker and a member of Centre Presbyterian Church, Loysville RR 1.
She was the widow of Paul R. Lightner, who died April 24, 1989.
Surviving are a son, Paul A. of Derry, N.H.; two daughters, Thelma G. Hutchinson of Newville and Gloria K. Hanehald of Clark, N.J.; a brother, Floyd E. Grubb of Alexandria, Pa.; two sisters, Helena M. Secrest of Mount Union and Geraldine M. Morningstar of Huntingdon; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 20 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Kenneth Osborne officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.

Beatrice Irene Little, 89, of N. Sixth Street, Newport, died Monday, March 22, 1999 in Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon.
She was born Nov. 11, 1909 in Newport to the late Arnold and Minnie Viola (Hughes) Little.
She was a 1928 graduate of Newport High School; a lifelong member of Incarnation United Church of Christ, Newport; and a retired employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; and enjoyed being a hostess to friends.
Surviving is a half-brother, Ralph Little of Watsontown, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Knarr.
Services were held March 25 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. A.O. Magill officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Albert J. "Jack" Long, 73, of Port Royal RR 1 died Monday, March 8, 1999 in Hershey Medical Center.
He was born May 8, 1925 in Spruce Hill Twp., Juniata County, to the late Lewis L. and Blanche (Bailor) Long.
He was a self-employed carpenter and farmer; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Lower Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, Academia.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Nipple Long; two daughters, Barbara Maxton of Ickesburg and Carol Adams of York; two brothers, Raymond T. Sr. and Larry L., both of Port Royal; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 12 in his church with the Revs. Edward Trask and Harold Imes officiating. Burial was in Old Church Hill Cemetery.
Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Mifflin-Juniata Chapter, 112 N. Wayne St., Lewistown 17044.
He was a self-employed mechanic and a member of Berwick Moose and Eagles club.
Surviving are a companion, Glenda L. Ridall Reese, with whom he lived; a son, Wayne Jr. of Duncannon; a daughter, Jennie Lukens of Duncannon; a stepdaughter, Marian Reese of Benton; a stepson, Donald Reese of Benton; and a step-grandson.
Services were private.
Kriner Funeral Home, Benton, handled arrangements.
