Eleanor M. Rinker, 105, formerly of Newport, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
She was born Sept. 16, 1894 in Newport to the late William W. and Mary Jane (Saucerman) Manning.
She was a former teacher in the Millersburg School District; a member and past president of the Newport American Legion Auxiliary; a member of Market Street United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Chapter 459 and the Newport Garden Club; and had enjoyed gardening, needlework and playing cards.
She was the widow of H. Russell Kell and Eugene Rinker.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary K. Morrow of Smyrna, Del., and Louise K. Mohler of Newport; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 30 in her church with the Revs. Donald Treese and Paul Williams officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Alma L. Rissinger, 88, of Kinkora Nursing Home, Duncannon, and formerly of S. Fourth Street, Newport, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999 in the home.
She was born July 17, 1910 in Newport to the late Howard and Katherine (Huss) Baker.
She was the owner of the former Alma's Beauty Salon in Newport, which she started in 1945; was a member of the Church of God of North America in Duncannon; and a member of the Towpath Court of Amaranth 138, Newport.
She was the widow of Lynn A. Thompson and the Rev. Charles D. Rissinger.
Surviving are four stepsons; two nieces; two nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services were held Feb. 16 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Aden Wertz officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

H. Earlene Robinson, 84, of Mulberry Street, Newport, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999 in Stonebridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon.
She was born July 13, 1915 in Mifflin to the late Orris E. and Mary E. (Kauffman) Zeiders.
She founded Robinson's Beverages with her husband and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 177 and Calvary United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of Earl G. Robinson.
Surviving are a son, Gerald of Newport; two daughters, Joyce A. Robinson of Lancaster and Marilyn Freeland of Newport; two brothers, David Zeiders of Lancaster and Robert Zeiders of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three sisters, Mildred Robinson and Vivian Bardell, both of Mifflintown, and Janet Baker of Burnham; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 13 nieces and 15 nephews.
Services were held July 31 in her church with the Rev. David Arnold officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

Evelyn M. Rock, 83, of New Bloomfield RR 1 died Tuesday, May 25, 1999 at home.
She was a former member of the United Church of Christ of New Bloomfield and enjoyed crossword puzzles and gardening.
She was the widow of John V. Rock Sr.
Surviving are six daughters, Joan Malin of Newport News, Va., Mary Jean Williams of Roxbury, Judith Branch of Newport, Linda Columbus of Harrisburg, Sandra Smith of Camp Hill and Sharon Stine of New Bloomfield; two sons, John V. Jr. of Landisburg and James R. of New Bloomfield; two sisters, Edna Hair of New Bloomfield and Jean Black of Bethlehem; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the convenience of the family.
Reese Funeral Home, Harrisburg, handled arrangements.

George M. "Bud" Rohrbach, 78, of Shermans Dale died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He retired as a millworker from Bethlehem Steel Corp.; was a Navy veteran of World War II; attended St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Enola; was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan; and enjoyed horse racing at Penn National Race Course, playing cards and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Betty J. Crone Rohrbach; a son, Ron A. of Shermans Dale; six daughters, Georgie Lee Kohr of Harrisburg, Sandy A. King of Camp Hill, Linda L. Still and Deb S. Boyer, both of Enola, Jan R. Donmoyer of Camp Hill and Sherry K. Deibler of Grantville; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 16 in Neumyer Funeral Home. Burial was in Harrisburg Cemetery.

Dorothy L. Ronemus, 63, of Camp Hill died Monday, March 29, 1999 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She had worked for the former Pennsylvania Utility Contractors Association, Shiremanstown; was a volunteer with the Hampden Twp. Board of Elections; and a member of Full Gospel Church of God, Camp Hill.
She was the widow of Keith Ronemus.
Surviving are a son, Joseph of Harrisburg; a daughter, Robin Ronemus-Shuler of Shermans Dale; and a baby granddaughter, Heather Margaret Shuler of Shermans Dale.
Services were held April 1 in her church. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Mary Margaret Roof, 88, of New Bloomfield RR 2, formerly of Hershey, died Sunday, March 7, 1999 in Perry Village Nursing Home.
She was born March 24, 1910 in Spring Twp. to the late Harvey and Laura (Clouser) Peck.
She was a member of Little Germany Church of God.
She was the widow of Russell J. Roof.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn McDonald of New Castle, Del., and Linda Walker of Lancaster, Calif.; a sister, Lillie Peck of Camp Hill; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 13, in Boyer Funeral Home, 101 W. Main St., New Bloomfield. Burial will be in Stone Church Cemetery, Spring Twp.
Viewing will be noon to 1 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Karen Andes Rosenberg, 52, of Cherry Hill, N.J., died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999 in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia.
She was an honors graduate of Drexel University, with a degree in fashion design; operated a small business featuring her handmade clothing and jewelry; volunteered as HAS president of Carusi Junior High School, Cherry Hill, and president of Together, Inc., a not-for-profit crisis intervention agency; founder of Family Focus, a not-for-profit youth advocacy association; and a member of the Cherry Hill Board of Education.
Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Marc A. Rosenberg, V.M.D.; three sons, Thomas Eugene, Daniel Moses and Samuel Isaiah; one daughter, Jane Lela; her mother, Orpha Kathryn (Leach) Andes; two brothers, Eugene B. Andes, M.D., and Samuel L. Andes, Esquire; and a cousin, Judge Keith B. Quigley of Elliottsburg.
Services were held Sept. 22 in Platt Memorial Chapels, Cherry Hill. Burial was in Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill.
