Raymond R. Wieland Sr., 84, of Newport RR 4 died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born June 2, 1914 in Millerstown to the late Harry H. and Nora (Zeigler) Wieland.
He retired from Triangle Pacific - formerly Precisionwear; was a member of Millerstown United Methodist Church, Millerstown Moose Lodge 925 and Carpenters Union Local 287; and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was the widower of Margaret Shrawder Wieland.
Surviving are a companion, Grace Frownfelter of New Bloomfield; two sons, Raymond Jr. of Loysville and Lloyd of West Fairview; two daughters, Nancy Vasiliadis of Camp Hill and Ruth Kegg of Newville; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services were held March 2 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Arthur Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 1500 N. Second St., Harrisburg 17102-2527.
Kenneth L. Wileman, 60, of York Springs died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999 at home.
He was born Jan. 7, 1939 in Hunters Run to the late Charles E. Wileman and Bertha Detwiler Wileman Bousquin.
He was an independent owner and truck driver, working for Mercer Transportation of Louisville, Ky.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Dorothy Rowe Wileman; two sons, Larry E. of Mt. Pleasant Mills and Richard L. of Loganton; a daughter, Barbara Ann Walton of Millerstown; two stepsons, Jack M. Barnhart Jr. of Mechanicsburg and Rick A. Barnhart of Wellsville; two stepdaughters, Diane A. Foose of Duncannon and Cindy A. McDevitt of Shermans Dale; four brothers, Cloyd E., Barry N. and David L., all of Blain, and Merle F. of Aspers; three sisters, Aileen Bretz of Mt. Holly Springs, Phyllis Albright and Mary Neal, both of Gardners; 16 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Services were held Aug. 14 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. J. Kenneth Barner officiating. Entombment was in Rolling Green Memorial Park Mausoleum, Camp Hill.

Lorene E. Williams, 79, of Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield, formerly of Harrisburg, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999 at Perry Village.
She had been a member of the former Four Square Gospel Church of Rutherford.
She was the widow of David J. Williams Jr.
Surviving are three sons, Bruce of Grantville, Robert of Shermans Dale and Daniel of Etters; a stepson, Arlie of Landisburg; seven daughters, Deanna Culver of Scottsboro, Ala., Linda Lawler of Harvey, Ill., Carolyn Stoner of Newport, Sandra Walters and Theresa Tharp, both of Harrisburg, Janet Smith of Grantville and Wanda Barbaretta of Palmyra; a stepdaughter, Joyce Wood of Grand Chain, Ill.; five brothers; four sisters; 25 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 10 in First Assembly of God of Harrisburg. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
Neill Funeral Home, Paxtang, handled arrangements.
Elizabeth M. "Libby" Willow, 90, of Seven Stars Road, Millerstown died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born June 19, 1909 at Millerstown RR 2 in Juniata County to the late Franklin Isaac and Bertha Melinda (Frontz) Chubb.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and crocheting, and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, Millerstown RR 2.
She was the widow of John Albert Willow, who died Feb. 9, 1981.
Surviving are two sons, Walter C. of Millerstown and John R. of Richfield; three daughters, Judy A. Howell of Newport RR 4, Linda A. Keisling of Liverpool and Stella Willow of Downingtown; one brother, Donald I. Chubb of Middleburg RR 1; one sister, Ida Miller of Mechanicsburg; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Evelyn Minium, who died March 20, 1999; one grandson, Raymond Minium Jr., who died in 1986; one sister, Maggie Delancy; and three brothers, Lucian, Earl and Leroy Chubb.
Services were held Sept. 11 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with the Rev. Salvatore E. Buonocore officiating. Burial was in St. James United Methodist Cemetery, Millerstown RR 2.
William R. "Bill" Willow, 73, of Liverpool RR 1 died Tuesday, April 20, 1999 in Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born May 28, 1925 at Greenwood Twp., Juniata County, to the late Charles William and Minnie R. (Marks) Willow.
He was educated at Wilt's Grammar Schoolhouse in Greenwood Twp; retired in May 1990 as a mill worker from Triangle Pacific Cabinet Corp., Thompsontown, and formerly worked at Updegrove's Orchards, Millerstown, and Wood Mode Industries, Kreamer; attended Bible Baptist Church of Liverpool and was a former member of St. James United Methodist Church, Millerstown RR 2; an Army veteran of World War II; a member of the United Steelworkers of America AFL-CIO-CLC, Local 15253, District 7; and enjoyed wood crafting, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Carrie E. Kline Willow; two daughters, Thelma M. Mullen of Duncannon and Sandra K. Helwig of Mt. Holly Springs; a sister, Anna Aucker of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas H. and John A., and one sister, Sarah A. Frey, who died Jan. 13, 1997.
Services were held April 24 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with the Rev. Robert T. Gray Jr. officiating and Donald K. Crooks assisting. Burial, with military honors, was in St. Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Millerstown RR 2.
Charles L. Wilson, 85, of Ickesburg and Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield, died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born Oct. 27, 1913 at Landsiburg RR 1 to the late John and Susan (Goodling) Wilson.
He retired as a quality-control supervisor from Olin Inc.'s Winchester Arms Division, New Haven and Bridgeport, Conn.; was a graduate of Blain High School; a member and former consistory president and deacon of Ickesburg United Church Christ and a former member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church, Fairfield, Conn.; a member and past master of F&AM Lodge 104, a past president of the First Masonic Flying Squadron, a past president of the Young Mens Industrial Forum and the Everymans Bible Class, and a member of Lafayette Consistory, all in Connecticut; a director of the Perry Health Center, Loysville, and the Perry Advisory Council on Aging; a past president and vice president of the Ickesburg Lions Club; a past former director of The Perry Historians; a former secretary of the Perry County Fire Police and Ickesburg Fire Company; a former civil defense director for Saville Twp.; and a member of the Ickesburg Ambulance Club.
Surviving are his wife, Marion J. Stewart Wilson; a daughter, Betty L. Mulligan of Fairfield, Conn.; a sister, Stella M. Gilbert of Loysville RR 2; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 30 in his church with the Rev. Karen Easterly officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ickesburg Lions Club.
Shirley I. Turns Wirt, 64, of Roberts Valley Road, Harrisburg, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999 in Manor Care Health Services East.
She was a retired cook with Polyclinic Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, William J. Wirt; her mother, Pearl M. Turns of Harrisburg; a daughter, Marjorie D. Earnest of Elliottsburg; a son, Clarence Edward Hartz of Colonial Park; three sisters, Beverly A. Jamison and Sandra E. Turns, both of Harrisburg, and Marcia K. Allen of Grantville; three brothers, William C. Turns Jr. of Middletown, and Barry E. Turns and Donald L. Turns, both of Harrisburg; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 16 in Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Harrisburg, with the Rev. David T. Willard officiating. Burial was in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to any hospice organization.
J. Elvin Wise, 6, of Blain died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999 of injuries received in a farming accident at home.
He was born May 7, 1993 in Juniata County.
He attended Milltown Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference, Landisburg RR 1.
Surviving are his parents, Elvin R. and Nora Zimmerman Wise; three brothers, Jonathan Z., Paul Matthew and Raymond Z., all at home; his paternal grandparents, Edwin K. and Ida W. Rutt Wise of Ephrata; maternal grandfather, Abram Zimmerman of Blain; paternal great-grandparents, Harry N. and Ella B. Weaver Rutt of Ephrata; and maternal great-grandmother, Ella B. Wise of Womelsdorf.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Edna Zimmerman.
Services were held Aug. 19 at his home and at his church with bishop Lester B. Martin and ministers Raymond Zimmerman, Warren Auker and John Wise officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.
