Jane E. Russell, 78, of Berger Lane, Wheatfield Twp, Duncannon, formerly of Mechanicsburg, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998 at home.
She was born July 21, 1920 in Benton, Pa., to the late Hervey and Elizabeth (Dieltz) Klinger.
She retired from New Buffalo Restaurant and Sheetz, Mechanicsburg. She attended Perry Alliance Church, Shermans Dale, and was a member of Mechanicsburg VFW Post 6704 Auxiliary.
She was the widow of James N. Russell.
Surviving are a daughter, Christina Stout, with whom she resided; five sons, James of Shermans Dale, George of Halifax, Charles of Mechanicsburg, Mike of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, and Daniel of Mechanicsburg; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimberly Russell.
Services were held Sept. 23 in Michael J. Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Patrick Port officiating. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Ruth V. Reisinger, 89, formerly of Landisburg and Loysville, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998 in ManorCare Nursing and Rehab Center, Carlisle.
She was born Dec. 31, 1908 at Loysville RR 1 to the late William A. and Gertrude (Lebo) Hollenbaugh.
She was a member of Centre Presbyterian Church, Loysville RR 1. She was the widow of Homer L. Reisinger.
Surviving are a daughter, L. Emma Comp of Landisburg; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 9 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. John S. Kipp officiating. Burial was in Centre Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Helen D. Saylor, 76, of Ickesburg, formerly of Wormleysburg, died Thursday, April 16, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was a retired long distance operator for Bell Telephone Co.
She was a member of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg, Areme Chapter 192 OES, and Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was the widow of Hugh P. Saylor Jr.
Surviving are a daughter, Stephanie Lynne Saylor of Ickesburg; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held April 21 in Kimmel Funeral Home. Burial was in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
Howard E. "Huck" Stine, M.D., 79, of Lower Allen Twp., Cumberland County, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born Jan. 21, 1919 in Blain to the late Howard E., D.D.S., and Hazel (Hench) Stine.
He was a retired chief of staff for the Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic, Harrisburg; a 1938 graduate of Gettysburg College and 1943 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School; and a Korean War Army veteran.
He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, its choir and past president of the church council; past president of the Gettysburg College Alumni Association, Harrisburg Chapter; Lowther Manor Lodge 781, F&AM, Camp Hill; Harrisburg Consistory; Zembo Temple Shrine and its golf league, Harrisburg; VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland; BPOE, West Shore; Riverview Golf Club, DDRE, New Cumberland; and Fairview Hunting Club, Blain RR 1.
Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline C. (Moye) Stine; a son, Howard E. Stine III of Brookhaven; a daughter, Kristina C. Griffith of Camp Hill; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 21 in his church with the Rev. Russell H. Mueller officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp.
Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland, handled arrangements.

H. Lenore Snyder, 80, of W. Main Street, New Bloomfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998 in the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
She was born May 6, 1918 in Loysville to the late John H. and Virginia (Brunner) Rice.
She was retired as a librarian with the Loysville Youth Development Center; had been a teacher's aide at Blain Elementary; a volunteer with the reading program at Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield; and a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Blain, where she had been a Sunday school teacher and member of the choir. She was the widow of Arthur E. Snyder.
Surviving are a daughter, Margo L. Kell of Carlisle; a brother, John B. Rice of Carlisle; two sisters, Alliene Bair of Landisburg RR 1 and Grace Clark of Camp Hill; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Rice, and two sisters, Erma Sheibley and Sara L. Lebo.
Services were held Aug. 15 in her church with the Rev. Frank J. Gassler officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.

Ethel G. Spotts, 80, of Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, formerly of New Bloomfield, died Friday, June 19, 1998 in the Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster.
She was born in Mendota, Ill., to the late George W. and Alice (Wagner) Rempfer of New Bloomfield.
She was a former employee of Evangelical Press, Harrisburg; a graduate of New Bloomfield High School and Thompson Business School, Harrisburg; a member of Bird-in-Hand United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women, the Retired State Police Auxiliary, the High Beamers, James Buchanan High 12 and Gamma Rho Chapter, Alpha Iota business sorority.
Surviving are her husband, George H. Spotts; two daughters, Nancy Waraksa of Landisville and Bonnie Engle of Lancaster; a sister, Hazel Rempfer Morrow of New Bloomfield; and three grandchildren.
Services were held June 22 in Kearney Snyder Funeral Home, Lancaster. Graveside services were held in Bloomfield Cemetery.

H. Mae Spotts, 88, of Landisburg RR 1 died Tuesday, May 26, 1998 at home.
She was born April 10, 1910 at Barnesboro, Pa. to the late Richard and Alice (Gill) Scollon.
She retired from the state Department of Transportation as a clerical employee and was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Landisburg RR 1.
She was the widow of Roy M. Spotts.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Grace S. Bomberger of Pottstown and Peggy S. Lens of New Brunswick, N.J.; six stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and seven nieces.
Services were held May 28 in her church with the Revs. George C. Martz and E. Levain Fouse officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.

James H. Schmaus, 64, of Landisburg RR 1 died Monday, March 30, 1998 at home.
He was born Sept. 4, 1933 at Carlisle to the late John and Stella (Manning) Schmaus.
He was a self-employed upholsterer; a Marine Corps veteran, serving from June 13, 1951 to June 12, 1954; a graduate of Carlisle High School; and of the Catholic faith. He was a member of BPO Elks Lodge 578 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1299, both of Carlisle.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia M. Makibbin Schmaus; two daughters, Suzanne Schmaus of Newville and Lisa Brousse of Carlisle; a sister, Stella Schmaus of Carlisle; a brother, John of Funkstown, Md.; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held at the convenience of the family.

J. Harold Stydinger, 74, of Millerstown RR 1 died Friday, June 5, 1998 in Community General Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born March 9, 1924 in Juniata County to the late Jacob Frank and Esther (Reisinger) Stydinger.
He retired from Stydinger Excavating and was a member of Wila United Methodist Church.
He was the widower of Mary J. Kinzer Stydinger. Surviving are a son, Dale A., and two daughters, Denise A. Comp and Donna L. Gantt, all of Millerstown RR 1; a brother, Walter of Elliottsburg RR 1; three sisters, Virginia Harris of New Bloomfield, Bessie McGill of Millerstown RR 1 and Pearl Hoffert of Reading; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Doug L. Stydinger.
Services were held June 8 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Aden Wertz officiating. Burial was in Wila Cemetery.
