ROBERT H. JONES
Robert H. Jones, 72, of Old State Road, Shermans Dale, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000 at home.
He was born Jan. 5, 1928 in Hampden Twp., Cumberland County, to the late William and Elizabeth (Rife) Jones.
He retired as a machinist from Conrail with 41 years of service; had worked for Locust Point Stone Quarries and Snelbaker Manufacturing Co.; and was a member of Shermans Dale Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mildred B. Swartz Jones; three sons, Robert C. of New Bloomfield, Thomas E. of Shermans Dale and Alan L. of Elliottsburg; a daughter, Donna M. Derr of Berrysburg; two brothers, William M. and Edward M., and a sister, Helen V. Volgelsong, all of Carlisle; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 20 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. Dean Heisey officiating. Burial was in Longsdorf Cemetery, Silver Spring Twp.

KENNETH A. KAPP
Kenneth A. Kapp, 66, of Railroad Street, Duncannon, formerly of Palmyra and Hershey, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000 in Hershey Medical Center.
He was a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local 542; had worked for Tioga Hammond Dams, Tioga, and Millard Quarry, Annville; was a Navy veteran of the Korean War; and a member of American Legion Post 340, Duncannon, Central Pennsylvania Houndsmen's Club, New Bloomfield, and the Swatara Beagle Club; and a canteen member of VFW Post 255.
Surviving are his wife, Marguerite "Peggy" Snyder Kapp; four sons, Christopher J. of Middletown, Joseph A. of Newport, Kenneth W. of Duncannon and Thomas E. of Shirley, Mass.; a daughter, Kathleen Miller of Duncannon; a sister, Lettie Gingrich of Hershey; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 18 in Rothermel Funeral Home, Palmyra. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 1500 N. Second St., Harrisburg 17102.

FRANCIS KELLER
Francis "Pat" Keller, 56, of Shermans Dale died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000 in Carlisle Hospital.
He worked for Sunoco, Mechanicsburg, and was a member of Atlantic Independent Union.
Surviving are his wife, Lin J. Boose Keller; a son, Jeffrey of Hummelstown; a daughter, Tracy Troutman of Harrisburg; his parents, Earl and Blanche Schell Keller of Annville; two brothers, Earl and Robert, both of Annville; a sister, Sandy Young of Myerstown; and a granddaughter.
Services were held Nov. 21 in Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.

WAYNE E. KELLER
Wayne E. Keller, 72, a resident at Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield, and formerly of Creek Road, Shermans Dale, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000 at Perry Village.
He was born Oct. 16, 1928 in Marysville to the late Howard and Pearl (Barninger) Keller.
He retired as a lieutenant with the security division of Bethlehem Steel; was a former Carroll Twp. supervisor and constable, and Perry County deputy sheriff; a life member and former treasurer of Shermans Dale Fire Company; and a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale, Adams Lodge F&AM, New Bloomfield, Shermans Dale Ambulance Association and Harrisburg Consistory.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Lona Brown Keller; three sons, Richard "Rick," Bradley L. and Tim E., all of Shermans Dale; a sister, Viola Bair of Camp Hill; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sheila Keller.
Services were held Oct. 26 in his church with the Rev. Lloyd Shellenberger officiating. Burial was in Youngs Cemetery, Shermans Dale.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, handled arrangements.

GEORGE G. KESSLER
George G. Kessler, 79, of New Germantown died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000 at home from an accidental gunshot wound.
He was born Sept. 1, 1921 at Loysville RR 1 to the late Clarence and Annie (Fetro) Kessler.
He was retired from Bethlehem Steel, Steelton, and was an employee of the former Pennsylvania Department of Forest and Waters, the former Carlisle Tire & Rubber, Carlisle, and a farmer; a graduate of the former Blain Vocational High School; an Air Force veteran of World War II, receiving three Bronze Stars; and a member of New Germantown United Methodist Church, United Steel Workers Local 1688, American Legion Post 232, Dry Run, North American Hunting Club, Gun Owners of America, Second Amendment Foundation, National Rifle Association and Wildlife Forever.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth H. Sanderson Kessler; a son, Michael D. of New Germantown; five daughters, Eileen M. Mayfield of New Bloomfield, Georgia H. Connell of Leonia, N.J., Lorene A. Caldwell of New Germantown, Cherie L. Vogelsong of Shermans Dale and Marla D. Gates of Duncannon; a brother, David Kessler of Landisburg; a sister, Florence McCartan of Allentown; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 15 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Roz Mason officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.

VIRGINIA A. KESSLER
Virginia A. Kessler, 54, of Blain RR 1 died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000 in Carlisle Hospital.
She was born May 24, 1946 at Bloomsburg to Elsie E. Swank Amig of Blain RR 1 and the late Harold L. Amig.
She was employed by Econo Lodge, Carlisle, and formerly employed by Plain & Fancy, Manheim, and at a drugstore in Bloomsburg; a graduate of Manheim Central High School; and a member of Manassa Community Church, Blain RR 1, Blain Lions Club, Blain Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Blain Ambulance Club.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Ralph C. Kessler; two brothers, William H. Amig and Terry L. Amig, both of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Mary Lee R. Crowl of Elysburg and Josephine I. Rouss of Manheim; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Nov. 22 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. William H. Bernhisel officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.

HELEN E. KETTERING
Helen E. Kettering, 91, of Loysville RR 2 died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000 in the Todd Home, Carlisle.
She was born July 5, 1909 at Butler to the late Robert and Grizella (Greer) McFarland.
She was a registered nurse at Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler, where she attended nursing school; a dietician at Beaver Valley General Hospital, New Brighton; former volunteer aide at Blain Elementary School; and a member of Sandy Hill United Church of Christ, Loysville RR 1, where she was a former consistory member.
She was the widow of Herman F. Kettering.
Surviving are a daughter, Kay L. Lyons of Loysville RR 2; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 14, in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Paula C. Ouderkirk and Muriel Bronakowski officiating. Burial will be in Blain Cemetery, Blain RR 1.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, and 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

VINCE H. KEYWORTH
Vince H. "Buck" Keyworth, 67, of Mountain View Road, Shermans Dale, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000 at home.
He was born in Jackson Hole, Wyo., to the late Clifford J. and Louise G. (Winters) Keyworth.
He was a retired professional cowboy and rodeo rider; an Army veteran of the 82nd Airborne and served in the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Keyworth; two sons, Greg of New York and Mark of North Carolina; a daughter, Lori Dorrs of Arizona; two brothers, Gary Keyworth of Newport and Gene Pratt of New Hampshire; a sister, Sharon Sikes of Shermans Dale; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 2 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. N. Jefferson Brewster officiating. Burial will be in Colorado at the convenience of the family.
