JACK MORRISON
Jack Morrison, 70, of La Jolla, Calif., formerly of Marysville, drowned Aug. 26 in the swimming pool at his home.
He retired as a professor from the University of San Diego, which named him professor emeritus and the school's first Outstanding Professor of Counseling Education; had been dean of students at the former Lock Haven State College and director of the Center for Research and Educational Media Design at the University of Iowa; a licensed psychologist and a former private counselor in La Jolla; a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Ph.D. degree from Northwestern University; and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Morrison; a daughter, Kathy McCurdy of Camp Verde, Ariz.; a son, Jim of La Jolla; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 29 in La Jolla. Graveside services were held Sept. 16 in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled local arrangements.

PAUL J. MORROW
Paul J. Morrow, 75, of Landisburg RR 1 died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born Sept. 7, 1925 in Saville Twp. to the late Paul Morrow and Mable (Stone) Rodgers.
He retired as a truck driver from Kinney Shoe Corp. in Carlisle; was a former employee of Kmart in Carlisle and the IGA in Shermans Dale; a Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of Little Germany Church of God, Elliottsburg, and the Landisburg Ambulance Club.
Surviving are his wife, Mary A. Reisinger Morrow; four sons, Dennis K., Richard A. and Randy E., all of Landisburg, and Charles L. of Elliottsburg; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 29 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.

ROBERT B. MURRAY
Robert Blair Murray, 84, of N. Front Street, Liverpool, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000 at home.
He was born Dec. 4, 1916 in Lemoyne to the late Charles B. and Bertha (Knouse) Murray.
He retired in 1978 as a project engineer after a 35-year career with the state Department of Transportation, Harrisburg; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Liverpool, American Legion Post 364, Liverpool, and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 925, Millerstown.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Mary Elizabeth "Tibby" (Miller) Murray; a son, Robert W. of Wyomissing; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Smith and M. Merle Light.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 28, in his church, 1000 N. Front St., Liverpool, with the Rev. James R. Bramer officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Liverpool Union Cemetery.
Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, or Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Drive, Harrisburg 17110.

JOHN H. MUTZABAUGH
John H. Mutzabaugh, 86, of Paradise Road, Duncannon, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born March 25, 1914 in Duncannon to the late Verner F. and Myrtle (Booth) Mutzabaugh.
He retired as a mechanic from the former Twin Gables, Camp Hill; was an Army veteran of World War II; a member of VFW Post 255 and American Legion Post 340, both of Duncannon; and enjoyed fishing.
He was the widower of Emma Myers Mutzabaugh.
Surviving are three sons, Verner, Forrest and Kenneth, all of Duncannon; five daughters, Myrtle Smith and Virginia Vinette, both of Duncannon, Effie V. Shupp and Geraldine McCrone, both of Harrisburg; and Annie Busfield of Newport; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, John L. and Carmel, and a daughter, Carol.
Services were held Nov. 26 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Mervin Potteiger officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport RR 2.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 1500 N. Second St., Harrisburg 17102.

FORREST M. MYERS JR.
Forrest Michael Myers Jr., 36, of Pine Street, Liverpool, formerly of Duncannon, died Friday, April 7, 2000 at home.
He was born Sept. 17, 1964 in Harrisburg to Forrest M. Sr. and Jo Ann Rudy Myers of Duncannon RR 2.
He was a 1982 graduate of Newport High School; a Newport Elementary wrestling coach; and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, surviving are two sons, Joel M. and Travis M., and a daughter, Ashley, all of Newport; a sister, Tina Myers Hageman of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and his maternal grandfather, Ralph L. Rudy, and paternal grandfather, Lawrence G. Myers Sr., both of Duncannon.
Services were held April 11 in Boyer Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Gary R. Bellis officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

MARY H. MYERS
Mary Hazel Myers, 90, formerly of Newport, died Saturday, March 4, 2000 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
She was born April 16, 1909 in Peoria, Ill., to the late Lemuel and Alice (Ames) Condon.
She was a graduate of Renova High School; a member of Hilltop Christian Church, Newport; and enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles.
She was the widow of Adam Earon Myers, who died June 19, 1968.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol M. Horting and Dorothy H. Dietzel, both of Newport; two sisters, Kathryn F. Condon and Anna G. Nash, both of Erie; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Beverly Myers and Mary K. Hickox; one brother, John Condon; and two sisters, Mabel Bowser and Ruth Woodward.
Graveside services were held March 7 in Sunnyside Cemetery, Mill Hall, with the Rev. James J. Penica officiating.
Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Perry Village Nursing Home - Memorial Fund, RR 2, New Bloomfield 17068.

VERA M. NAYLOR
Vera M. Naylor, 76, of Newport RR 2 died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000 at home.
She was born Aug. 20, 1924 in Liverpool to the late Rufus and Katie (Barner) Boyer.
She was a member of Community Grange 1767, Newport; a graduate of Newport High School; and enjoyed quilting and sewing.
She was the widow of Urie A. Naylor.
Surviving are two sons, Larry R. of Wyomissing and James E. of Middletown; three daughters, Carol L. Dupert of Shermans Dale, Ellen Robinson of Loysville and Nancy E. Mowery of Newport; a brother, Bruce Boyer of Millerstown; two sisters, Mildred Hulbert of Camp Hill and Erma McGowan of Millerstown; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 7 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Preferred Choice, 4813 Jonestown Road, Suite 211, Harrisburg 17109.

BETTY J. NEIDIGH
Betty J. Neidigh, 70, formerly of N. Fourth Street, Newport, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
She was born March 21, 1930 at Liverpool to the late Lewis and Florence (Shumaker) Willi.
She had worked in dress factories in Newport and Liverpool, and enjoyed gardening and her grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra L. Burd of Newport, and two grandchildren, Kimberly Minke of Ohio and Charles W. Burd of Newport.
Services were held Nov. 1 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Harry Cole officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
