Jeanette L. Smith, 48, of Valley Road, Carroll Twp., Shermans Dale, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born Jan. 29, 1950 in Lancaster to the late Kenneth G. and Margaret (Frysinger) Rohm.
She was a licensed practical nurse at HealthSouth Rehabilitation of Mechanicsburg, and had worked at Carlisle Hospital; was a graduate of West Perry High School; and a member of Bible Baptist Church, New Bloomfield.
Surviving are her husband, Junior H. Smith; two sons, Kenneth H. and Daniel J., both at home; three brothers, Kenneth G. Rohm Jr. of Bluefield, W.Va., Edward E. Rohm of Landisburg and Franklin S. Rohm of Gardners; and a sister, Sandra M. Eklund of Lewisberry.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene M. Rohm.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Nov. 5, in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. Perry Kile officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

John M. Sutton, 71, of N. Middleton Road, Carlisle, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born Dec. 2, 1926 to the late James L. and Clyde Edith (Carter) Sutton Brown.
He was a retired SFC in the Army with more than 28 years service and a veteran of World War II, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War; a former employee of Wolfe Bus Company; and a member of American Legion Post 101, Carlisle, and the North Middleton Senior Citizens.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Lydia I. McClintock Sutton, four daughters, Bonnie L. Handshew of Spring Grove, Lydia E. Zimmerman of Newport, Barbara Fisher of Tennessee and Shawn M. Tuttle of Carlisle; two brothers, James L. of Albuquerque, N.M., and Jesse E. of Ralston, Neb.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 4 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. Robert A. Klinger officiating. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Leo E. Sledzinski, 76, of Elliottsburg RR 2 died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born Nov. 27, 1921 in Hawley, Wayne County, to the late Michael C. and Tillie (Klompos) Sledzinski.
He was retired from the former Fruehauf Inc. of Middletown; a farmer; a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, New Bloomfield, and VFW Post 7463, New Bloomfield.
Surviving are three brothers, Kosteck of Lake Ariel, John of Shermans Dale and Vincent of Elliottsburg; a sister, Ann Miller of Waco, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 28 in his church with the Rev. Robert Sharman officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Carlisle.

Leroy M. Sheck, 97, of Front Street, Newport, died Friday, May 29, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Jan. 27, 1901 in Harrisburg to the late John and Emma Sheck.
He retired from the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg; was an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of First Church of God and American Legion Post 177, both of Harrisburg.
Surviving are his wife, Norma V. Sheck; three stepsons, Joseph DeVore of Canada and Thomas and Donald DeVore, both of Etters; a stepdaughter, Trudy M. Hoke of Mifflintown; seven stepgrandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held June 2 in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Harrisburg, with the Rev. Woody Johnson officiating.

Margaret Dickinson Stoner, 81, of Harrisburg, died Thursday, Feb. 19,1998 at her home.
She was born Aug. 30, 1916 in Westerly, R.I., to the late Herbert and Ellen (Couch) Martin.
She was a retired statistical researcher for the Joint State Government Commission-Commonwealth of Pa.; a member of Paxton Presbyterian Church and president of its Womens Bible Class, and a member of the Paxton Civic Club.
She was the widow of T. Harvey Stoner.
She is survived by one son, Robert L. Dickinson of Clarence Center, N.Y.; two daughters, Sheryl L. Heim of Camp Hill and Deborah L. Dickinson of Loysville; two stepsons, Thomas H. Stoner of Reading and William Stoner of Old Saybrook, Conn.; three stepdaughters, Victoria Ogden of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Dorothy Smith of State College and Janet Sbihli of Japan; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 21 in her church. Burial was in Paxton Churchyard, Harrisburg.

Michael J. Supko Jr., 54, of Basin Hill Road, Duncannon, died Sunday, April 19, 1998 at home.
He was born March 20, 1944 in Penn Twp. to the late William and Gertrude (Burkey) Supko.
He was retired from the former TRW, Harrisburg, and a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Marysville.
Surviving are his wife, Arlene Shotsberger Supko; three sons, Michael J. Jr., Jason M. and William M., all at home; two brothers, Randolph Supko of Marysville and Richard Supko of Duncannon; and one sister, Madeline Decker of Duncannon.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held April 22 in his church with Father John Greaney officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon.

Mabel M. Smee, 84, formerly of Shermans Dale, died Saturday, March 7, 1998 in Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.
She was born Dec. 12, 1913 in Marysville to the late John and Margaret (Brownawell) Kitner.
She attended Young's United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale, and was a member of New Bloomfield Senior Center.
She was the widow of Clair Mc. Smee, who died in 1996. Surviving are a son, Robert L. of Shermans Dale; four daughters, Esther M. Wadsworth and Betty J. Smee, both of Carlisle, Arlene C. Souder of Newport and Anna M. Paulus of Shermans Dale; two brothers, Archie Kitner of Mount Holly Springs and Samuel Kitner of Marysville; three sisters, Violet Nickel and Ruth Sipe, both of Carlisle, and Elsie Adams of Mechanicsburg; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Parkison, who died in 1991.
Services were held March 11 in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle. Burial was in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.

Marguerite M. Sweeney, 77, of Woodside, New York (Borough of Queens) died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998 at the home of her sister-in-law, Mildred Miller of Fox Hollow Road, Shermans Dale.
She was born April 30, 1921 in Bellwood, Pa.
She was a retired secretary for United Press International, New York City and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Woodside, New York.
She was the widow of Richard Sweeney.
Surviving are a brother, Patsy Veign of Farrell, Pa.; a sister, Ann Del Grosso of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 12 in St. Theresa's Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Lateer officiating. Burial was in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.

Marlyn R. Speck, 69, of Valley Road, Marysville, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was retired from Otis Elevator Company, Harrisburg; a former scoutmaster; a Navy veteran; and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Rye Twp., Perry Lodge 458, F&AM, Marysville, Harrisburg Consistory and VFW Post 882, Marysville.
Surviving are his wife, Edna C. Ausel Speck; five sons, Raymond E. of Jersey Shore, Richard P. of Shermans Dale, and William M., Charles M. and Robert L., all of Marysville; two sisters, Betty Henninger of Newport and Ida Mae Burns of Shamokin; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Speck.
Services were held Sept. 21 in his church with the Rev. Ronald L. Doverspike officiating. Burial was in Griers Point Cemetery, Rye Twp.
