MARGARET C. SPROUT
Margaret C. Sprout, 71, of Barley Drive, Duncannon, died Saturday, March 4, 2000 at home.
She was born April 19, 1928 in Los Angeles, Calif., to the late Edwin and Mary C. (Brady) McKinney.
She was a reader and artist.
She was the widow of Roy R. Sprout.
Surviving are three daughters, Carrie C. Salomone of Brookfield, Wis., and Leslie Dorwart and Mary Jane Parrish, both of Duncannon; a sister, Bert Price of Point Blank, Texas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 8 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Randall Goshorn officiating. Burial was in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.

PAUL B. STALLINGS
Paul B. Stallings, 70, of 130 S. Third Street, Harrisburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000 at home.
He was born Dec. 8, 1929 in Portsmouth, Va., to the late James P. and Dorothy E. (Creasy) Stallings.
He was a photographer and draftsman; a Navy veteran of the Korean War; and active in Alcoholics Anonymous.
Surviving are two sons, William of El Paso, Texas, and Michael of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a daughter, Dawn Marie of Port St. Lucie; a brother, David of Wisconsin; three grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and his extended family, Lisa Shutt of Duncannon, Judy Dobson of Harrisburg and Walter Johnson of Carsonville.
Services were held Dec. 11 in Boyer Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. B. Michael Brossman officiating. Burial was Dec. 13 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

ALEX N. STANCAVAGE
Alex N. Stancavage, 80, of Holly Drive, Dauphin, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born May 10, 1919 in Ashley, Luzerne County, to the late John and Mary A. Stancavage.
He retired from the Defense Logistics Agency, Mechanicsburg; was an Army veteran of World War II and Purple Heart recipient; a member of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, Dauphin, and VFW Post 283, Kingston; and enjoyed bowling and golf.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Kraft Stancavage; and six sisters, Stella Tarnoski and Natalie Cooper, both of New Jersey, Mary Stacey of New York, Pauline Novitski and Celia Ogdin, both of Connecticut, and Irene Rasmus of Nanticoke.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 31 in his church with Father Edward Quinlan officiating.
Burial was Feb. 1 in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Shavertown, Luzerne County.
Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, Allegheny Street, Dauphin 17018.

ARLENE M. STEWART
Arlene M. Stewart, 91, formerly of Vista Road, Camp Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000 in the Homeland Center.
She was born July 1, 1908 in Green Park to the late Harvey and Olive (Hench) Bernheisel.
She was a member and former choir member of Camp Hill Presbyterian Church, a member of the Harrisburg Bridge Club, an honorary member of the West Shore Country Club and an avid golfer in the Harrisburg and Pinehurst, N.C., areas.
She was the widow of Robert H. Stewart.
Surviving are two daughters, Diane S. Fearen and Drue S. McInnes, both of Camp Hill; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were private. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

JAMES E. STOOPS
James E. Stoops, 62, of Duncannon died Wednesday, March 15, 2000 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born in Harrisburg to the late Earl and Anna (Daum) Stoops.
He was a retired Harrisburg firefighter and had worked as a licensed electrician; was a Marine Corps Reserve veteran; a past president of Duncannon and Perdix fire companies; a life member of Mount Pleasant Fire Company, Harrisburg; and a member of the Marysville Moose lodge and Christ Lutheran Church, Duncannon.
Surviving are his wife, Sally E. Stoops; a daughter, Sheila E. Gates of Enola; and a brother, Charles E. of Camp Hill.
Services were held March 18 in Musselman Funeral Home, Lemoyne. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Capital Region Division, 1019 Mumma Road, Suite 200, Wormleysburg 17043, or to any local volunteer fire company.

ALICE M. STRAWSER
Alice Marie Strawser, 75, of Millerstown RR 2 died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000 in Lewistown Hospital.
She was born Aug. 19, 1925 in Juniata County to the late Frances (Burkheiser) Strawser-Nace.
She formerly was employed at the Richfield and Liverpool shirt factories and Nipple Convalescent Home, Liverpool, and the Zendt Home, Richfield; attended Church of the Open Door, Richfield RR 1; and enjoyed canning and reading the Bible.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Sherman Lester Strawser; a son, Earl M. of Millerstown; two daughters, Ellen P. Carvell of Richfield RR 1 and Wannetta K. Leonard of Honey Grove; two half-brothers, Donald Nace of Lewistown and Glenn Nace of Richfield RR 1; five half-sisters, Anna Mae Duke and Ethel Zeiders, both of Mifflintown, Ella Goodling of Richfield RR 1, Kathryn Mull of Selinsgrove and Dorothy Cramer of Carlisle; a foster sister, Mary Bitterman of Lancaster; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her foster parents, Ralph and Sadie Witmer, and a half-brother, John Strawser.
Services were held Sept. 7 the Church of the Open Door with pastor Joseph R. Heeg officiating. Burial was in Neimond's Cemetery, Richfield RR 1.
Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, handled arrangements.

RANDOLPH R. SUPKO
Randolph R. Supko, 65, of Marysville died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He retired from the former American Can Co., Lemoyne, and was a local businessman; an Air Force veteran of the Korean War; a former member of American Legion Post 1001; a life member of Marysville VFW Post 882; and a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church and Moose Lodge 107, both of Marysville, and Enola American Legion Post 751.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey Little Supko; two daughters, Vickie L. Miller of Harrisburg and Barbara J. Phillips of Tamaqua; three sons, Russell R., Phillip D. and James M., all of Marysville; a stepson, William J. Little of Mechanicsburg; a stepdaughter, Pamela J. Johnson of Enola; a sister, Madeline Decker, and a brother, Richard, both of Perdix; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 28 in his church. Burial was in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, 121 Williams St., Marysville 17053.

DONALD F. TARNER
Donald F. Tarner, 68, of Blain RR 1 died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 at home.
He was born Dec. 23, 1931 at Juniata, Blair County, to the late Merle and Ethel (Wishard) Tarner.
He was a retired customer service representative for GTE; had been employed as a dispatcher by Hall's Trucking and Yellow Freight Trucking Company; a graduate of Altoona High School; and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis M. Calderwood Tarner; two sons, Donald S. of Loysville and Andrew E. of Blain; three daughters, Julie L. Pilsits of Etters and twins, Jennifer M. Rexroth of Mechanicsburg and Jodi L. Pottiger of Halifax; and 10 grandchildren.
Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville RR 2.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.
