Ruth J. Stum, 94, of Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, formerly of Landisburg, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998 at Thornwald Home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1904 at Green Park to the late Harry W. and Linnie P. (Baker) Neely.
She was a former cook at the former Landisburg Elementary School; a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Landisburg; and a past member of Lady Landis Rebekah 303.
She was the widow of J. Earl Stum.
Surviving are four daughters, Arlene M. Viering of Enola, Helen L. Gutshall of Loysville, Fae E. McMillen of Carlisle and Nancy L. Neely of Schnecksville; one son, Robert E. of Waynesboro; two sisters, Stella McCoy of Duncannon and Dorothy Haines of Prescott, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Edward Stum.
Services were held Sept. 8 at Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Revs. George C. Martz and E. Levain Fouse officiating. Burial was in Landisburg Cemetery.

Sarah A. Stailey, 69, of S. Front Street, Liverpool, died Thursday, June 18, 1998 at Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born Dec. 10, 1928 in Juniata County to the late Earl and Mae (Swartz) Forry.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Liverpool.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth L. Stailey Sr.; one son, Kenneth L. Stailey Jr. of Millerstown; three daughters, Bonnie L. Strawser, Mary A. Stailey and Linda M. Delbaugh, all of Liverpool; two brothers, Gene Forry of Port Royal and Kenneth Forry of Thompsontown; one sister, Mabel Goodling of McAlisterville; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Edwin Forry.
Services were held June 20 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with the Rev. Ray Hatcher officiating.
Violet Loretta Auman Snyder, 84, of Marysville died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998 at home.
She was a member of Areme Chapter 192, Order of the Eastern Star of Harrisburg, and was a Protestant.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth I. Snyder; a daughter, Barbara A. Barber, a son, Kenneth W., both of Enola; and three grandchildren.
Burial was in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.
Margaret Dickinson Stoner, 81, of Harrisburg, died Thursday, Feb. 19,1998 at her home.
She was born Aug. 30, 1916 in Westerly, R.I., to the late Herbert and Ellen (Couch) Martin.
She was a retired statistical researcher for the Joint State Government Commission-Commonwealth of Pa.; a member of Paxton Presbyterian Church and president of its Womens Bible Class, and a member of the Paxton Civic Club.
She was the widow of T. Harvey Stoner.
She is survived by one son, Robert L. Dickinson of Clarence Center, N.Y.; two daughters, Sheryl L. Heim of Camp Hill and Deborah L. Dickinson of Loysville; two stepsons, Thomas H. Stoner of Reading and William Stoner of Old Saybrook, Conn.; three stepdaughters, Victoria Ogden of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Dorothy Smith of State College and Janet Sbihli of Japan; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 21 in her church. Burial was in Paxton Churchyard, Harrisburg.
Neill Funeral Home, Harrisburg, handled arrangements.

Clyde E. Albright, 71, of State Road, Duncannon, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He retired from the former Naval Supply Depot, Mechanicsburg; a Navy veteran of World War II; a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Marysville, VFW Post 6704, Mechanicsburg, American Legion Post 177, Newport; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Carlisle, 700 Bowling Club of America, Harrisburg District Bowling Congress; a life member of Perdix Fire Company; and an avid hunter.
He was the widower of Patricia Joy Shank Albright.
Surviving are two sons, Clyde E. "Rick" II of Duncannon and Cole E. of Marysville; four brothers, Ed of Duncannon, William C., Randy L. and Dan H., all of Enola; one sister, Sandra R. Gouse of Enola; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 14 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.

Brittany M. Altemus, 8, daughter of Daniel M. and Rhonda G. Altemus of Newport RR 2 died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999 at home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1990 in Harrisburg.
She was a second-grade student in Mrs. Ryan's class at Newport Elementary School; a player in the Newport Youth Soccer Association; a member of Girl Scout Troop 1554; and attended Central Baptist Church, Millerstown.
In addition to her parents, surviving are a brother, Daniel R., and a sister, Julie R., both at home; her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Margaret George of Garland, Texas; her paternal grandparents, Rev. Harold and Isabel Altemus of Johnstown; a paternal great-grandmother, Isabel Altemus of Leechburg; and a paternal great-grandfather, J. Edward Williams of Philipsburg; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held Feb. 2 in Central Baptist Church with pastors Wayne Krell and Robert Meyer officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Franklin J. Auxt Sr., 77, of Newport RR 2 died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999 in Community General Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Oct. 22, 1922 in Duncannon to the late Jacob and Ora (Fissel) Auxt.
He was a retired state employee; had worked for Old Ferry Pumphouse, Millerstown; was a Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of American Legion Post 177 and VFW Post 34.
He was the widower of Mildred P. Auxt.
Surviving are a son, Franklin J. Jr., and a daughter, Patricia Atwood, both of Newport; three brothers, Samuel of Duncannon, Jacob of Marysville and Fred of Enola; three sisters, Sarah Sands and Barbara Hoover, both of Duncannon, and Aretta Acri of Wormleysburg; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Randal Atwood.
Services were held Dec. 13 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Philip Brenizer officiating. Burial was in St. Matthew Cemetery, Millerstown RR 1.
Wanda B. Smith, 58, of Mifflintown HCR 63 died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998 in Lewistown Hospital.
She was born July 7, 1940 in Lewistown to Mable (Bargo) Beale of Port Royal and the late Roy W. Beale.
She was a former cook at the Family House Restaurant, Mifflintown, and a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, and its Lloyd Showers Sunday School Class.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Richard C. Smith; a son, Douglas S. of Duncannon; a sister, Delores Henry of Honey Grove; and two grandsons.
Services were held Sept. 28 in her church with the Rev. William N. Esborn officiating. Burial was in McCoysville Cemetery.

Seymour D. Aughenbaugh, 85, of Creek Road, Shermans Dale, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a member of Young's United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale, and its Sunday school and Shermans Dale Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Stone Aughenbaugh, and a brother, Wendell D. of Shermans Dale.
Private services and Burial were held at the convenience of the family.
