Mary E. Frey, 71, of E. Sunbury St., Millerstown, died Monday, May 24, 1999 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.
She was born April 15, 1928 in Harrisburg to the late Melvin A. and Lula Long "Paden" Metz.
She retired from Juniata Valley Bank; had worked for the former Bell Telephone Co.; and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer; enjoyed cooking; and was a member of Donnally Mills United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of Delbert Frey.
Surviving are one daughter, Susan Snare of Palm Harbor, Fla.; one brother, William L. Metz of Landisburg; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Megan Snare.
Services were held May 28 in her church, with the Rev. Arthur Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Mary S. Foster,78, of Kamp Street, Duncannon, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999 inPolyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born May 6, 1920 in Penn Twp. to the lateJohn and Mellie (Shearer) Bothwell.
She retired from Lemoyne Sleeper; was a member ofOtterbein United Methodist Church, Duncannon, Liverpool AmericanLegion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary Unit 255, Newport Moose lodgeand Duncannon High School Alumni Association; a life member ofMeadow Grove Chapter 1, Perry County Sportsmen's Club; and enjoyedfishing and travel.
She was the widow of James R. Foster.
Surviving are a companion, Walter A. Wright Jr.; twosons, Barry W. of Duncannon RR 4 and Paul E. of Duncannon; a daughter,Mary Jane Sheaffer of Duncannon; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard J. Foster,and one daughter, Kay S. Hirt.
Services were held May 1 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon,with the Rev. Kenneth Forbes officiating. Burial wasin Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon.

Rosanna Wagner Finkenbinder, 82, of Dellville Road, Duncannon, formerly of Marysville, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 at home.
She was retired from Pinnacle Health at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was the widow of Warren C. Wagner Sr.
Surviving are two daughters, Rose Miller of Duncannon and Peggy Nelson of Mechanicsburg; one son, Warren C. Jr. of Marysville; one sister, Ella Steward of Lemoyne; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 28 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.
Margaret R. Freeland, 84, formerly of Newport RR 1, died Saturday, March 13, 1999 in Thornwald Nursing Home, Carlisle.
She was born May 2, 1914 in Newport to the late Harry K. and Rebecca (Long) Stephens.
She was retired from Newport Dress Factory; and a member of Incarnation United Church of Christ, Newport Towpath Court Order of Amaranth 138; a life member of Newport Fire Company Auxiliary; and enjoyed sewing and cooking.
She was the widow of Belmont L. Freeland.
Surviving are a son, Lamar L. "Peck" of Carlisle; a brother, Wayne Stephens of Newport; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 18, at Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. E. Reginald Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Newport Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 7 to 8:45 p.m., March 17, with Amaranth services at 8:45.

She was born Oct. 1, 1944 in Perry County to the late Samuel Charles and Helen M. (Comp) Freet.
Surviving are three brothers, Charles Freet of Newport, Donald Page of Harrisburg and Russell Freet of Long Branch, N.J.; and two sisters, Hazel I. Wright of Newport and Peg J. Duncan of Loysville.
Services were held July 8 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Kenneth Osborne officiating. Burial was in Eshcol Cemetery, Millerstown RR.

Helen Mae Freet, 80, of Newport RR 2 died Monday, July 5, 1999 at home of excessive heat.
She was born Aug. 21, 1918 in Perry County to the late James E. and Margaret (Yohn) Comp.
She loved cats and other animals.
She was the widow of Samuel Charles Freet.
Surviving are three sons, Charles E. Freet of Newport, Donald E. Page of Harrisburg and Russell J. Freet of Long Branch, N.J.; two daughters, Hazel I. Wright of Newport and Peg J. Duncan of Loysville; a sister, Hazel I. Swartz of Elliottsburg; 30 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 8 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Kenneth Osborne officiating. Burial was in Eshcol Cemetery, Millerstown RR.

Stanton E. Foy, 67, of Hoffman Road, Duncannon, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999 at home.
He retired from United Parcel Service in Harrisburg; was an Army veteran of the Korean War; and a member of Duncannon Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 340, New Bloomfield F&AM Lodge 319 and the Steelton Moose lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Helen P. Horton Foy; three sons, Donald G. of Duncannon, Craig A. of New Cumberland and Douglas E. of Marysville; a brother, David R. of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held Nov. 28 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.

Saundra J. "Sandy" Finton, 52, of S. Fifth Street, Newport, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999 at home.
She was born Feb. 8, 1947 in Lewistown to Rhoda Jane Davis of Newport and the late Marland S. Davis.
She was an employee of the state Department of Public Welfare's Perry County Assistance Office, New Bloomfield; a 1965 graduate of Newport High School; and a member of Incarnation United Church of Christ, Newport.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Gary E. Finton; two sons, Bret W. Campbell of Millerstown and Bart L. Campbell of Newport; a daughter, Kelly A. of Newport; a brother, Larry M. Davis of Newport; two sisters, Constance A. Buffington of Poway, Calif., and Marilyn Joy Reisinger of Newport; and five grandchildren, Holly and Rachel Zaring, Eric Foster, and Cody and Hunter Campbell.
Services were held Aug. 14 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. A.O. McGill officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

Jane R. Foster, 64, of Grahams Wood Road, Upper Frankford Twp., Cumberland County, died Monday, April 12, 1999 at home.
She was born Sept. 18, 1934 in Perry County to Florence L. (Rife) Garlin of Newville and the late George D. Garlin.
A high school graduate, she formerly was employed by Reeves-Hoffman Crystal Plant in Carlisle and was a former Avon lady. She was a member of McClures Gap Church of God, where she was a deaconess, Sunday school teacher and a member of the WCSC.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband of 47 years, Leroy J. Foster; two daughters, Deborah L. Martin of Carlisle and Jessica A. Salisbury of Newville; two sisters, Joye Young of Newville and Mae Gipe of Newburg; and four grandchildren.
Services were held April 15 in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. Paul K. Hauk officiating. Burial was in Upper Frankford Brick Church Cemetery.
