Stanley L. Haines, 72, of Newport RR 2 died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Dec. 22, 1927 in Newport to the late Lewis and Dolie (Murphy) Haines.
He retired from United Telephone Co., Carlisle; was a former Oliver Twp. auditor; an Army veteran; a member and life elder of Newport First Church of God, and a member of the Gideons.
He was the widower of Dorothy Sarver Haines.
Surviving are a son, Richard L. of Newport; two daughters, Linda I. Martin of Elliottsburg and Donna J. Richard of Newport; seven brothers, Ralph of Shippensburg, Lenus and Ray, both of Newport, Grover and Donald, both of Duncannon, Carl of Minneola, Texas, and Marlin of Carlisle; three sisters, Mildred Dobyns of Newport, Faye Frye of Boise, Idaho, and Vera Asper of Ephrata; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Harry James.
Services were held Sept. 14 in his church with the Rev. Cheryl Dorman officiating. Burial was in St. Matthew Church Cemetery, Millerstown RR 1.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

William Alfred Hannold, 78, formerly of Meck's Corner, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at home in Lake Forest, Calif. of cancer.
He was born March 16, 1921 in Philadelphia.
A resident of Meck's Corner in the late 1940s/early 1950s, he was a member of Snyder's United Brethren Church and was employed as a machinist at Woods Drive, P.O. Box 374, Mechanicsburg 17055.
Dawn L. Kratzer, 50, of Liverpool RR 1 died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000 at home.
She was born Sept. 25, 1950 in Sunbury to Dorothy Rauch Delbaugh of Liverpool and the late Mark "Sparky" Delbaugh Sr.
She was employed by the Postal Service as a rural mail carrier for the Millerstown RR 2 area; a 1968 graduate of East Juniata High School and a 1971 graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in business education; a member of Liverpool United Methodist Church where she was treasurer, served on the finance committee and administrative council, and taught the nursery class and served as the pianist for the Sunday school; participated in the annual CROP Walk and American Heart Association Walk-a-Thon; a member of the Juniata County Literacy Program; an avid reader; enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking, and was known for service to others.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband of 29 years, Greg L. Kratzer Sr.; a son, Greg L. "J.R." Jr. of New Bloomfield; two daughters, Kelly A. Kuhns of Millersville and Kimberly S. Kratzer of York; a brother, Mark Delbaugh Jr. of Liverpool RR 1; four sisters, Annette Goodling of Beavertown, Eileen Linn of Liverpool, Kathy Bowman of McAlisterville RR 2 and Mary Maiolo of Hershey.
Services were held Nov. 5 in her church with the Rev. Peter M. Beddia officiating. Burial was in Liverpool Union Cemetery.
Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, handled arrangements.

Douglas N. Kroh, 42, of N. High Street, Duncannon, formerly of Summerdale, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000 at Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was a retired sewing machine mechanic.
Surviving are his parents, Neale L. and Betty J. Mooney Kroh of Summerdale; two sisters, Linda J. Preston of Mechanicsburg and Lisa A. Miller of Littleton, Mass.; and four nephews.
Services were held March 31 in West Fairview United Methodist Church. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.

Edward H. Kreitzer, 80, of S. Humer Street, Enola, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000 in Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon.
He retired as a foreman from Conrail; was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School; an Army veteran of World War II and the recipient of three Bronze Stars; a life member of Enola VFW Post 617; and a member of Enola First Church of God and its Willing Worker Sunday School Class.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Ritter Kreitzer of Enola; two sons, James E. of Carlisle and Robert A. of Camp Hill; two daughters, Marilynn J. Hutchison of Port Matilda and Angela S. Kreitzer of Enola; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 27 in Richardson Funeral Home, Enola. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
