Ray F. Miller Sr., 91, of Grantville RR, formerly of Marysville, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad, TRW and Olivetti; and attended New Life Assembly of God.
He was the widower of Mabel M. Miller.
Surviving are two sons, Ray Jr. of Hummelstown and Percy of Harrisburg; four daughters, Dorothy Reigel of Duncannon, Edna Pletz of Elizabethtown, Elsie Geesaman, with whom she lived, and Esther Lyons of Enola; two brothers, Harold of Polk and William of Duncannon; two sisters, Minnie Lex of Ulysses and Lottie Basehore of Arcadia, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 6, at Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield. Burial will be in Eshcol Cemetery.
Anna Mary Noll, 67, of Millerstown died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000 at home.
She was born March 30, 1933 in Ickesburg to the late Frank G. and Ida Mae (Wilson) Simonton.
She was employed by United Telephone Company as an operator at Newport until her retirement in 1983; a 1951 graduate of Greenwood High School, Millerstown; a member of Millerstown United Methodist Church, where she helped with bazaars and strawberry festivals, and Women of the Moose, Millerstown; supported high school athletics and attended high school band performances, choral concerts and theater productions; and enjoyed professional football and baseball, college football, music and reading.
She was the widow of Frederick M. Noll, who died April 22, 1980.
Surviving are three sons, Keith E. of Thompsontown, and Frank A. and Jeffrey L., both of Enola; a sister, Mildred Showers of Millerstown; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 24 in Sheaffer Funeral Home, Millerstown, with the Rev. Katherine A. Behrens and the Rev. Dr. James R. Behrens officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.

Betty J. Neidigh, 70, formerly of N. Fourth Street, Newport, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
She was born March 21, 1930 at Liverpool to the late Lewis and Florence (Shumaker) Willi.
She had worked in dress factories in Newport and Liverpool, and enjoyed gardening and her grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra L. Burd of Newport, and two grandchildren, Kimberly Minke of Ohio and Charles W. Burd of Newport.
Services were held Nov. 1 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Harry Cole officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

Gene Nichols, 77, of Utica, N.Y., died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000 at the Betsy Ross Rehabilitation Center in Rome, N.Y.
He was born July 29, 1922 in Meads Creek, N.Y., to the late Francis and Elizabeth (Hand) Nichols.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Whitesboro, N.Y., D.A.V. Stars and Stripes Post 82, Utica, VFW Crystal City Post 524, Corning, N.Y., American Legion Post 340, Duncannon, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 450, Marcy, and the North Utica Senior Center.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Klucker Hartz, who formerly was from Duncannon; and five stepchildren, Mary Ann, Henry and Richard Hartz, Betty Youmans of New York and Kathryn Beard of Virginia; two sisters, both of Bath, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 5 in his church.
Jeannette E. Niman, 67, of S. Second Street, Newport, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born June 9, 1933 in Newport to the late John William and Lillie (Haines) Kapp.
She had been a baby sitter for many children; was a member of Market Street United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 177, both of Newport; and enjoyed bowling, ceramics and her grandchildren.
She was the widow of L. Richard Niman.
Surviving are a son, Danny L., and three daughters, Nancy L. Beaver, Judy L. Niman and Barbara E. Jacobs, and three brothers, George L., John H. and Edward Kapp, all of Newport; two sisters, Katherine Quigley of Carlisle and Martha Witmer of Newport; and five grandchildren, Jaime, Nathan, Dana, Ashley and Rusty.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Marlin Shull and Donald Kapp, and a sister, Mary Ellen Mader.
Services were held Dec. 1 in her church with the Rev. Donald Firestone officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Norman K. Nace, 81, of Elliottsburg died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000 at home.
He was born Aug. 15, 1918 at Washington, Pa., to the late John F. and Nellie O. (Caldwell) Nace.
He was a retired truck driver for Kreider's Feed Mill, Loysville; an Air Force veteran of World War II; a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Elliottsburg, Landisburg Fire Company and Landisburg Ambulance Club; and an avid baseball fan, attending many local games.
He was the widower of Betty I. Shields.
Surviving are a son, Gary F. of Elliottsburg; a brother, David A. Nace of Landisburg; a sister, M. Arlene Smith of Loysville; two grandchilden; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Frank and Lawrence Nace.
Services were held Jan. 12 in his church with the Rev. Miriam L. Nicholson officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

Robert Edward Napier, 58, of Liverpool RR 2, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000 in Hospice of Central Pennsylvania Residence, Susquehanna Twp.
He retired as a truck driver with Keystone Carriers, Mount Pleasant Mills; earlier drove for Milton Transportation Co., Strickland Transportation, Dallas, and Mainliner Express, Omaha, Neb., had taught at James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg, and was a former counselor in the Carlisle Area district; and was a graduate of Greenwood High School, Millerstown and the former Shippensburg State College with a master's degree from Purdue University.
He was a member of Blessed Hope Bible Church, Liverpool RR 2; maintained ties with Liverpool Bible Baptist Church, Liverpool RR 1; was a member of Liverpool Fire Company and Ambulance League and the Pennsylvania Farmers Association; and a former member of Teamsters Local 776, Harrisburg. He was an outdoorsman and woodsman and enjoyed timbering.
Surviving are a brother, Kenneth E. of Millerstown, and two sisters, Donna M. Elias of McKeesport and Gloria A. Kocevar of Blue Springs, Mo.
Services were held Feb. 4 in Blessed Hope Bible Church. Burial will be in private.

Steven George "Swifty" Newman, 44, of Liverpool RR 1, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000 while on a fishing trip near Syracuse, N.Y.
He was born Feb. 26, 1956 in Sunbury to the late George William and Patricia Ann (Eckrod) Newman.
He was employed at the Sunbury Textile Mills, Sunbury, for more than 25 years; attended Selinsgrove High School; was a Protestant; and enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kathy M. Spade; two sons, Keith R. Newman, at home, and Steven L. Strawser of Millerstown RR; a daughter, Kelly S. Newman of Liverpool RR 1; four sisters, Joanna L. Stahr of Liverpool RR 1, Kim L. Newman of Mt. Pleasant Mills RR 2, Cynthia L. Newman of Port Trevorton RR 2, and Rebecca A. Herb of Middleburg; and three grandchildren, Brock Kerstetter, Jasmine Newman and Natisha Strawser.
Services were held Nov. 10 in Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Timothy L. Cooley officiating. Burial was in Halls (Zion) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Port Trevorton RR 1.
Beatrice C. Pannebaker, 93, of Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield, formerly of Mifflintown RR 1, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000 at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born March 28, 1907 in Fermanagh Twp., Juniata County, to the late Edwin L. and Carrie (Warner) Whistler.
She retired in 1968 as cafeteria manager from Fermanagh-Mifflintown Elementary School; was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, Mifflintown RR 1, Juniata County Retired School Employees; and enjoyed cooking, reading and crocheting.
She was the widow of Roy F. Pannebaker, who died May 30, 1977.
Surviving are a daughter, Helen M. Maddox of Fairfield; a sister, Mary E. Dolin of Mifflintown RR 1; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Eva Pannebaker, and two infant brothers, Ray and Ed Whistler.
Services were held Dec. 26 in Guss Funeral Home, Mifflintown, with the Revs. Karl Herman and Norman Marden officiating. Burial was in Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.

Chester J. Perovich, 78, of Spring Road, Shermans Dale, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born Oct. 16, 1922 in Duryea to the late Mike and Anne (Semaska) Perovich.
He was retired from the federal Defense Logistics Agency, Springfield, N.J., and had done engineering work for IBM, Western Electric, C.E. Lummons Co., Worthington Corp. and SPCC, Mechanicsburg; attended the University of Scranton; served as a chief petty officer in the Navy during World War II; and a 50-year member of West Pittston Valley Lodge 499, F&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Perovich; a son, Michael of Flemington, N.J.; a daughter, Deborah of Point Pleasant, N.J.; two brothers, Joseph of East Hanover, N.J. and Charles of Duryea; a sister, Stella Salerno of Old Forge; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 29 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Anthony C. Hill officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
