Eugene F. "Pete" Peters, 67, of Liverpool RR 1 died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000 at home.
He was born July 31, 1933 at Liverpool RR 1 to the late Charles Edward and Olive V. (Drew) Peters.
He worked for Agway Energy Products; was retired from Greenwood School District; operated Peters Reloading; a retired Army chief warrant officer; a graduate of Duncannon High School; a member of Perry Valley Sportsmen's Association; former member of Liverpool American Legion; and enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Carole M. Alleman Peters; a son, Michael E. of Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Anita Travitz of Wormleysburg, Janice Peters-Singh of Port Trevorton and Michelle Singh of Watsontown; three sisters, Martha James of Salisbury, Md., Audrey Hockenbrock of Newport and Carol Mohler of Duncannon; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Miller.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool. Burial, with military honors, will be in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.

John C. Peck, 75, of N. College Street, Carlisle, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 in a fire at his home.
He was born March 4, 1924 in Illinois to the late John M. and Lula M. (Starrley) Peck.
He was retired from the Army and had served in the Navy; a member of Carlisle VFW Post 477 and Carlisle Legion Post 101.
He was survived by his wife, Lois K. Baltosser Peck, who died Feb. 18 as the result of the fire.
Surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline R. Peck of Carlisle; a son, Michael R. of Landisburg; and a brother, Alvin of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Services were held Feb. 23 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. H. James Williams officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Landisburg Cemetery.

Jill C. Powell, 24, of Carlisle and formerly of Ickesburg, died Friday, March 3, 2000 at home.
She was born Dec. 18, 1975 at Carlisle Hospital.
She was employed at Bucks County Coffee Shop in Carlisle and Camp Hill; a 1994 graduate of West Perry High School, Elliottsburg, and Cumberland-Perry Vocational Technical School, Mechanicsburg, and had attended Harrisburg Area Community College; and a member of Ickesburg United Church of Christ.
Surviving are her parents, Thomas E. and Susan E. Metz Powell; a sister, Amy P. Bolze of Elliottsburg; her paternal grandparents, Max E. and Chloe L. Secrist Powell of Ickesburg; maternal grandparents, Richard D. and Jeanne L. McGarvey Metz of Loysville; paternal great-grandmother, Eva Secrist of Ickesburg; and maternal great-grandmother, Ida Alice Metz of Loysville.
Services were held March 7 in her church with the Rev. Karen Easterly officiating.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

Jessie F. Partner, 77, of Walnut, Port Royal RR 2, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 at home.
She was born May 1, 1922 at Nook, Juniata County, to the late John G. and Emma M. (Lebkicher) Foltz.
She was a homemaker; a former Beale Twp. tax collector and township secretary; a life member of the Juniata County Historical Society; and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Nook, Walnut Grange 776, National Grange, receiving the 7th degree, Beale Twp. Fire Company Auxiliary and Friends of Locust Grove.
She was the widow of Jay W. Partner, who died Nov. 8, 1991.
Surviving are four sons, Jay F. of New Bloomfield RR 2, Bruce W. of New Windsor, Md., John Scott of Mifflintown and Mark R. of Port Royal RR 2; one sister, Betty Keiser of Mifflin HC 67; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Foltz and Helen B. Clark, and one brother, John M. Foltz.
Services were held Feb. 20 in her church with the Rev. Marton Roberson officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.

Lois K. Peck, 71, of N. College Street, Carlisle, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000 of injuries suffered in a fire on Feb. 17 at her home.
She was born Aug. 8, 1929 at Loysville RR 1 to Belva V. (Rowe) Baltosser of Carlisle and the late James Baltosser.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Landisburg, and had attended Landisburg Church of God.
She was the widow of John C. Peck, who died Feb. 17 in the fire.
In addition to her mother, surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline R. Peck of Carlisle; a son, Michael R. of Landisburg; and a sister, Betty Morrow of Landisburg.
Services were held Feb. 23 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. H. James Williams officiating. Burial was in Landisburg Cemetery.

Rosa E. Rowe, 86, of Elliottsburg RR 2 died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000 in ManorCare Health Services, Carlisle.
She was born March 6, 1914 at Loysville RR 1 to the late John and Mary Ann (DeHeiser) Keller.
She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Blain, and attended the Church of the Living Christ, Loysville RR 1; was a member of Landisburg Fire Company and Landisburg Ambulance Club; and enjoyed baking and canning.
She was the widow of Harry J. Rowe.
Surviving are four sons, Russell E. of Blain, Harry J. and Walter F., both of Elliottsburg RR 2, and Wilbur B. of Millerstown RR 1; a brother, David J. Keller of Loysville RR 1; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 29 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Ronald S. Weigel officiating. Burial was in Hill Cemetery, Blain RR 1.

Robert E. Roush, 75, of Carlisle died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
He was born April 7, 1924 in Duncannon to the late Elmer and Carrie (Murphy) Roush.
He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp.; was a Rawleigh dealer; former dairy farmer; had worked for the former Pennsylvania Railroad; an Army veteran of World War II; attended Community Baptist Church; a member of American Legion Post 101; and a life member of VFW Post 477; and enjoyed gardening, hunting and travel.
Surviving are his wife, Edith M. Radabaugh Roush; three sons, Robert E. Jr. of Newville, and Barry L. and Kenneth R., both of Carlisle; two daughters, Patricia J. Smith and Faye A. Sheaffer, both of Mechanicsburg; four brothers, James F. of Elizabethtown, Earl W. of Carlisle, and Harry R. and Howard L., both of Duncannon; five sisters, Catherine Warick of Dillsburg, Dorothy Garlin of Newport, Betty Bonchalk of Duncannon, Lucina Campbell of Loysville and Ruby Shumaker of New Bloomfield; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Schleis.
Services were held Feb. 14 in Community Baptist Church with pastors Tom Weber and Richard Black officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.

Sara A. Rice, 63, of Loysville RR 2 died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000 at home.
She was born April 25, 1937 in Blain to the late George R. and Iva (Briner) Garlin.
She retired as a switchboard operator from the Loysville Youth Development Center; was a 1956 graduate of the former Green Park Union High School, Elliottsburg; a member of Tressler Memorial Lutheran Church, Loysville, and it Ladies Aid and a former president of its adult Sunday school class; and a member of the Landisburg Ambulance Club, Chattanooga Club and TOPS.
Surviving are her husband, LeRoy C. Rice; two sons, Marlin C. of Landisburg and John T. of Shermans Dale; a daughter, Diana Kimmel Kistler of Elliottsburg; a sister, Darlene S. Darr of Carlisle; a brother, George J. Garlin of Mechanicsburg; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 7 in her church with the Rev. Donald L. March and her nephew, the Rev. Robert O. Rice Jr., officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Landisburg RR 1.

Tamara Rainwater-Grimwood, 36, of Marysville died Wednesday, April 5, 2000 at home.
She was a youth crisis-intervention counselor; a certified fitness trainer and co-owner of Grimwood's Power Plant Gyms; a five-time world powerlifting champion; a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College; and a Marine Corps veteran.
Surviving are a companion, Terry Grimwood; a stepson, Vegas Grimwood of Marysville; her parents, Ronald and Sandra Stalker Schneider, and two brothers, Raymond and Ronald Schneider Jr., all of Valatie, N.Y.; a sister, Susan Pulver of Kinderhook, N.Y.; and her maternal grandmother, Emily Stalker of Niverville, N.Y.
Services were held April 9 in Stone & Murray Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial was in Kinderhook (N.Y.) Cemetery.
William K. Roder Sr., 68, of Old Trail Road, New Buffalo, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999 at home.
He was born June 2, 1931 in New York City to the late William and Hilda Roder.
He retired from RO-NA Security; was a Navy veteran of the Korean War; a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Duncannon; and enjoyed fishing.
He was the widower of Barbara Nagy Roder.
Surviving are a son, William K. Jr. of Duncannon RR 4; a daughter, Pamela O'Hearn of Lake Worth, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kurt K. Roder.
Services were held Jan. 2 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Irene Friberg-Dussaq officiating. Burial was in Hill Cemetery, Duncannon RR 4.
