Charlotte Margaret Barner, 84, of Liverpool RR 1, Juniata County, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001 in Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born Dec. 27, 1916 in Derry Twp., Dauphin County, to the late Austin Peter and Della (Zeiders) Glotfelter.
She had been employed at the former Snyders and Good Samaritan convalescent homes, both in Liverpool, where she was a nursing assistant; was educated at Watts Grammar Schoolhouse in Juniata County; a member of St. Thomas Independent Brethren in Christ, Mt. Pleasant Mills RR 2, and Liverpool Ambulance League; and enjoyed quilting, reading and feeding and watching birds.
She was the widow of George D. Barner, who died Feb. 20, 1981.
Surviving are two sons, Robert D. of Mt. Pleasant Mills RR 1 and Timothy L. of Liverpool RR 1; two daughters, Mae F. Marshall of Salisbury, Md., and June E. Klinefelter of Lockport, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kitty Barner, who died in 1987; two brothers, William Glotfelter and Lester Gladfelter; and two sisters, Ruth Stroup and Alveria Glotfelter.
Services were held Jan. 27 in her church with the Rev. Roger L. Womer officiating. Burial was in Salem United Methodist Cemetery, Liverpool RR 1.

Donna K. Baughman, 62, of Tuscarora Path, Ickesburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001 in her Saville Twp. home.
She was born July 21, 1938 in Juniata County to the late Henry E. and Martha (Williams) Welshonse.
She retired from Kinney Shoe Corp. and was a member of Tuscarora Brotherhood.
She was the widow of Merle "Jack" Baughman. Surviving are three sons, Cliff E. of New Bloomfield, Matthew W. of Ickesburg and Frank L. of Elliottsburg; a brother, John Welshonse of Port Royal; three sisters, Bertha Snavely of Millersville, Louise Delancey of Port Royal and Hazel Keister of Thomp-sontown; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Welshonse; three sisters, Dorothy Burns, Betty Welshonse and June Welshonse; and two sons.
Services were held March 3 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Tony Hill officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery, Saville Twp.

Della L. Black, 87, of Waterfall, Pa., died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
She was born March 27, 1914 at New Grenada, Pa., to the late William and Viola (Sipes) Shaw.
She had helped on her family's farm prior to owning and operating Black's Freeze, Three Springs, along with her husband; attended Center United Methodist Church, Waterfall RR; and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and traveling.
She was the widow of Ralph Lorraine Black, who died Dec. 21, 1991.
Surviving are a son, Curtis of Millerstown; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald; four brothers; two sisters; a half-brother; and two half-sisters.
Services were held Aug. 22 in M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, with the Revs. George Clippinger and James Behrens officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery, New Grenada.

Francis A. Brown, 79, of the Thornwald Home, Carlisle, died Monday, April 9, 2001 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born Dec. 12, 1921 in Crestline, Ohio, to the late Edwin A. and Blanche (Porterfield) Brown.
He retired from Linglestown Junior High School as an industrial arts teacher after 34 years of teaching; was a 1941 graduate of Withrow High School, Cincinnati, Ohio, 1945 graduate of Bowling Green (Ohio) University, and earned a master's degree in industrial arts from Trenton (Pa.) State University; attended Carlisle Friends Meeting; active in Boy Scouts; and was a member of Ickesburg Lions Club.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Edith F. Farley Brown of Carlisle; two sons, Timothy F. of Canisteo, N.Y., and Thomas A. of Williamsport; two daughters, Deborah B. Hammack of Binghamton, N.Y., and Pamela B. Gibney of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a sister, Mary Hines, and a brother, Robert, both of Berea, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held April 14 in Thornwald Home chapel with Fred Baldwin officiating.

Frances E. Baker, 74, of N. High Street, Duncannon, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born July 28, 1927 in Duncannon to the late Jesse H. Sr. and Olive P. (Taylor) Bowman.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Duncannon, where she also was a member of the Faithful Daughters Sunday School Class, and the Duncannon Golden Age Club; a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 64; and had served on the Perry County Election Board.
She was the widow of Harry P. Baker Jr.
Surviving are three sons, Harry P. III, Ronald L. and Gregory A., and two daughters, Kathryn L. Baker and Sandra E. Baker, all of Duncannon; a brother, Jesse H. Bowman Jr. of McAlisterville; two sisters, Dorothy D. Deiter of Mexico, Pa., and Dolores Bennett of Duncannon; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 29, in her church with the Rev. B. Michael Brossman officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.

Florence R. Bender, 76, of Blain died Monday, April 2, 2001 at home.
She was born Nov. 13, 1924 in Blain to the late Verne and Grace (Peck) Gutshall.
She had been a seamstress at the Blain Dress Factory and was a former employee of the Blain Hotel; a member of Blain United Methodist Church and Blain Fire Company and Blain Ambulance Club ladies auxiliaries; and enjoyed travel, camping, gardening and ceramics.
Surviving are her husband, Harold E. Bender; two daughters, Beverly A. Adair of Blain and Barb K. Nipple of Ickesburg; three brothers, Clyde, Lewis and John Gutshall, and a sister, Rosalie Gutshall, all of Blain; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 5 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. John S. Kipp officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.

Glenda J. Billow, 53, of Liverpool died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was the daughter of Mary Jane Billow of Liverpool and the late Glenn Billow.
She was a former state clerk and a member of Liverpool United Methodist Church.
In addition to her mother, surviving are a son, Mario A. of Wormleysburg; three brothers, Fredric of Merritt Island, Brian of Boone, N.C., and Kimber of Elmira, N.Y.; and a sister, Blossom Rank of Mifflintown.
Graveside services were held April 7 in Bucks United Methodist Cemetery, Buffalo Twp.

George L. Brightbill, 70, of N. High Street, Duncannon, died Sunday, July 8, 2001 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born March 28, 1931 in Duncannon to the late Herbert B. and Sarah (Sheaffer) Brightbill.
He was a retired mechanic from Forrer Dodge, Duncannon, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Barrick Brightbill; a son, Randy, a daughter, Cheryl L. Jones, and a sister, Mary E. Barninger, all of Duncannon; and two grandsons.
Graveside services with the Rev. Rick Hanshaw officiating will be held at the family's convenience in Union Cemetery.

H. Daniel Beigh Jr., 73, of Hampden Twp., Enola, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at home.
He was born Aug. 7, 1927 in Harrisburg to the late Harry D. and Emma (Dettling) Beigh.
He was the retired president of Beigh Construction Company; a 1945 graduate of John Harris High School and a graduate of Susquehanna University, Selingsgrove, where he was a member of the Phi Mu Delta Fraternity; a Navy veteran of World War II; served on the board of directors of Flight Systems and Tri-County Investors; a member of Zembo Temple, Harrisburg Consistory, Reciprocity Club, Harrisburg Lodge 629 F&AM, Home Association of VFW Post 7530, East Harrisburg VFW Post 1718, West Shore Elks, Newport American Legion Post 177, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, West Shore Country Club and the Engineer Society of Pennsylvania; a past member of the Hunters and Anglers and the Blain Sportsmen's Club; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Surviving are his wife, Linda L. Beigh; a son, H. Daniel III of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Kathy Beigh Bock of Dillsburg; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a nephew, J. Robert Rolston of Newport; and two nieces, Mary Ann Rolston Schirmer of Carlisle and Leora Rolston Kraft of Newport.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome Robert Beigh; and three sisters, Henrietta Rolston, Mary Ellen Eichert and Anne Fenical.
Services were held June 18 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, with Vicar Maurice Frontz III officiating. Burial was in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
