Robert E. Barnes, 64, of Long Valley, N.J., formerly of Donnally Mills, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001 in Hackettstown Community Hospital, N.J.
He retired as an executive from 3M Corp., and was an yeoman petty officer Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Folkrod Barnes; three sons, Mark Shull of Aspers, Jeffrey Barnes of Foglesville, Pa., and Gary Barnes of Hackettstown; a daughter, Renita Dressler of Millerstown; his father, David A. Barnes of Donnally Mills; a brother, Lenus Barnes of Poolsville, Md.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Brookhart Barnes.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 6, in Donnally Mills United Methodist Church.

Robert J. Beasom, 66, of Thompsontown died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001 in Lewistown Hospital.
He was born Oct. 15, 1934 in Walker Twp., Juniata County, to the late Edward and Mary (Leister) Beasom.
He retired from Pannebaker Cabinets after 14 years of employment, and formerly was employed by Capitol Products, Carlisle, and as a mason for E.W. Ritzman Construction, McAlisterville; attended Port Royal High School; a member of Tuscarora Church of the Brethren, Mifflintown RR 2, Millerstown Moose and the Newport Order of Owls; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, growing flowers and searching for arrowheads and mushrooms.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Ethel I. Swartz Beasom; a son, Robert E. of McAlisterville; two daughters, Tammy Brown of Millerstown and Sue Prye of Mifflintown RR 4; a brother, Edward of California; a sister, Jane Amrhein of Thompsontown; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry L. "Boo" Beasom, and a brother, Michael Beasom.
Services were held Aug. 19 in Sheaffer Funeral Home, McAlisterville, with pastor Charles A. Sheaffer officiating. Burial was in Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Mifflintown RR 2.

Samuel J. "Sammy" Burdette Jr., 39, of Landisburg Road, Landisburg, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 5, 1961 at Harrisburg to the late Samuel J. Sr. and Martha (Johnson) Burdette.
He was an employee of Carlisle Electronics; a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Landisburg, Landisburg Fire Company and Landisburg Ambulance Club; and enjoyed NASCAR, camping and was a former drag racer.
Surviving is his wife, Ada L. Gordon Burdette.
Services were held Oct. 30 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Revs. George C. Martz and E. Levain Fouse officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.
Terry L. Burd of New Cumberland died Saturday, April 7, 2001 at University Hospital, Baltimore, Md.
She was born Aug. 3, 1942 in Harrisburg to the late Kenneth A. and Evelyn L. (Fortney) Shepley.
She was a registered nurse; a 1963 graduate of the Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing; and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Laurie J. Mowery of Mechanicsburg, and three grandsons, Devon, Kyle and Michael Mowery.
Services were held April 11 in her church with the Rev. Dr. Thomas E. Herrold officiating. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Camp Hill.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Warren H. Barton, 80, of Elizabethtown and Duncannon, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001 in Hershey Medical Center.
He was born June 21, 1920 in Duncannon to the late Robert M. and Lucinda (Graham) Barton.
He was a retired executive director of the Pennsylvania State Tax Equalization Board; a graduate of the former Duncannon High School and Penn State University; a Coast Guard veteran of World War II; and a member of Duncannon Presbyterian Church, Perry Lodge 458, F&AM, Penn State Alumni Association and the Country Club of Harrisburg.
He was the widower of Jean Spahr Barton.
Surviving are two sons, Robert W. and Roger P. both of Harrisburg; and two grandchildren.
Services were held March 17 in Hoover Funeral Home and Crematory, Hershey, with the Rev. Dr. Richard D. Adams officiating. Burial was in Hershey Cemetery.

William L. Bupp, 66, of East Manchester Twp., died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001 at home.
He was born March 26, 1934 in York County to the late Paul and Ethel (Plowman) Bupp.
He worked for 26 years for the Dover Twp. Waste Treatment Center, retiring in 1996, and worked for the Mount Wolf Borough Waste Treatment Center for 15 years; was a Marine Corps veteran; and a member of James A. Danner VFW Post 537 in Etters, and the Wago Club and Liberty Club in North York.
He was the widower of Beatrice E. Emig Bupp, who died November 14, 1997.
Surviving are a son, Larry R. of York Haven; three daughters, Beverly A. Shenberger of Airville, Christine M. Lentz of York Haven and Holly A. Bupp of Thomasville; three brothers, Ralph of York Haven; Glenn of Red Lion and Donald of York; two sisters, Charlotte Bievenour of York and Evelyn Cutler of Stewartstown; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 19 in Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Mount Wolf, with the Rev. Charles Pugh officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Hoover's Cemetery.

Charles Harry Crum, 40, of Linton Hill Road, Duncannon, died Monday, May 7, 2001 as the result of a truck-crane accident near Cumberland, Md.
He was an employee of Capital Towers, Mechanicsburg; a graduate of Susquenita High School; and enjoyed pitching horseshoes and playing pool.
Surviving are his parents, William F. Crum Jr. and Mary Jane Taylor Crum; a brother, William F. III of Marysville; and four sisters, Ruth A. McGowan of Millerstown; Betty J. Leister of Highspire, June E. Vaccaro of Allentown and Janice K. Miller of Palmyra.
Services were held May 11 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.

Clarence L. Crull, 87, of Landisburg RR 2 died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 in Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.
He was born Aug. 25, 1914 in Landisburg to the late Arthur L. and Sarah E. (Ruhl) Crull.
He retired from Formit Steel, Red Lion, and had worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps; was an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Kennedy's Valley Church of God, Landisburg RR 2, Dallastown American Legion Post 605, Landisburg and Yoe fire companies, and the Landisburg Ambulance Club.
He was the widower of Marie E. Landis Crull.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald C. of Yoe and Joel L. of Felton; two daughters, Charlene M. Krout of Red Lion and Dorothea A. Warner of Yoe; four brothers, Lewis of Mechanicsburg, and Charles, Scott and Melvin, all of Landisburg; a sister, Kathryn Smith of Carlisle; six grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son, Delbert S.; a daughter, Dorcas E.; four brothers, Dean, James, Daniel and Malcolm; and a grandson, Randy E. Warner.
Services were held Oct. 15 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Malcolm E. Martin officiating. Burial, with military honors by New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463, was in Landisburg Cemetery, Landisburg RR 1.

Dorothy E. Corman, 72, of Pfoutz Valley Road, Greenwood Twp., Millerstown, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at home.
She was a member of Millerstown Women of the Moose and enjoyed cooking and baking.
She was the widow of Arthur W. Corman.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Graybill of Millerstown; two stepsons, Richard of Millerstown and Charles of Shermans Dale; a stepdaughter, Sylvia Turnbaugh of Millerstown; two grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.
Services were held May 24 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.

Eugene E. "Gene" Comp Sr., 78, of Elliottsburg, Saville Twp., died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001 in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Perry County to the late August B. and Nancy (Hower) Comp.
He was an Army veteran of World War II; a life member of New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463 and AMVETS; and a member of Newport American Legion Post 177.
He was the widower of Nellie Mae Comp.
Surviving are three sons, Eugene E. Jr. of New Bloomfield and Gary L. and Dean A., both of Elliottsburg; two daughters, Margaret J. Turnbaugh of Millerstown and Sheila A. Hampton of Elliottsburg; five sisters, Grace Ferry of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Jenny Loy of Landisburg, Eleanor Beam of Mechanicsburg, Betty Morrison of Newport and Charlotte Lesh of Elliottsburg; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 4 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport. Burial, with military honors, was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Erly.
