Mary O. Clouser, 95, of ManorCare Health Services, Carlisle, and formerly of Harrisburg, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001 in the home.
She was born Aug. 26, 1905 in Carlisle to the late George M. and Dessie S. (Whisler) Clouser.
She retired as a receptionist from Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg and was a member of Paxton United Methodist Church, Harrisburg.
Surviving are a nephew and several cousins.
Services were held April 9 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. Tim Funk officiating. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, West Pennsboro Twp.

Margaret V. Chubb, 87, of Greenwood Drive, Millerstown, died Sunday, May 6, 2001 in Meda Nipple Convalescent Home, Thompsontown RR 1.
She was born in Jamison City to the late Elmer and Alice (Hess) Dewald.
She was a member of Turkey Valley United Methodist Church, Millerstown RR 2, and enjoyed working in her flower beds and spending time with family.
She was the widow of Earl H. Chubb.
Surviving are two sons, Donald W. of Middleburg and Robert E. of Milroy; three daughters, Mary B. Swope of Thompsontown, and Pauline A. Diehl and Shirley A. Goodling, both of Millerstown; a brother, Carl Dewald of Williamsport; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Jay Dewald; two sisters, Anne Sweeney and Edna Colosino; and a granddaughter.
Services were held May 9 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with the Rev. Sal Buonocore officiating. Burial was in St. James Cemetery, Millerstown.

Ruth E. Carl, 89, formerly of N. Fifth Street, Newport, died Thursday, June 7, 2001 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
She was born June 28, 1911 in Oliver Twp. to the late Cloyd and Agnes (Meminger) Kepner.
She was retired from the Newport School District and a member of Hilltop Christian Church, Newport.
She was the widow of Charles A. Carl Sr.
Surviving are a son Charles A. Jr. of Newport; a sister, Susanna K. Rine of Duncannon; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 11 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. James Penica officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

Ruth I. Carns, 83, formerly of Newport, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001 in Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg.
She was born July 23, 1918 in Newport to the late Charles and Nell (Brown) Kerr.
She was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Treasury, and a member of Market Street United Methodist Church, Newport.
She was the widow of Arthur S. Carns.
Surviving are a son, James E. of Marysville; a daughter, Ruth Ann Kroh of Harrisburg; a brother, Clarence Kerr of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Frank R.
A graveside service was held Aug. 20 in Newport Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Burgard officiating. A memorial service was held the same day at Messiah Village.

Sharn N. Cleland, 24, of Pisgah Road, Shermans Dale, died Thursday, July 5, 2001 in Lancaster County as the result of injuries sustained in a cave collapse.
He was born July 17, 1976 in Omaha, Neb.
He worked as a self-employed construction contractor; was a 1994 graduate of West Perry High School, Elliottsburg; a member of the York Grotto Caving Club, Commander Cody Grotto Caving Club and the National Speological Society; and enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, spelunking and the outdoors.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Mary and John Kern, his fiance, Tammi Johnston, his maternal grandparents, Theodore and Mary Garman, and paternal grandparents, Neal and Maryanne Cleland, all of Shermans Dale; stepgrandparents, Neal and Edythe Kern of Thompsontown; paternal great-grandmother, Helen Knisley of Gratz; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held July 10 in Christina Life Assembly Church, Camp Hill, with pastor Jamie Kjos officiating. Burial was in New Life Assembly of God Cemetery, Landisburg.
Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, handled arrangements.

Virginia M. Cless, 67, of Elliottsburg RR 2 died Sunday, March 18, 2001 in Carlisle Hospital.
She was born June 3, 1933 at Elliottsburg RR 1 to the late Walter and Eleanor (Radle) Rudy.
She was a school bus driver for 27 years in the West Perry School District and a member of Landisburg Ambulance Club.
She was the widow of John C. Cless Jr.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna J. Snyder of Duncannon; a son, Kenneth W. of Carlisle; two brothers, Walter and Ronald Rudy, both of Elliottsburg; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services were held March 22 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Revs. James R. God and James J. Penica officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.

Arthur E. Freeman, 74, of Duncannon died Tuesday, May 8, 2001 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He retired as a blacksmith from the former Penn Central Railroad's Enola Yard; was an Army veteran of World War II; a member of Duncannon Sportsman's Club; and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was the widower of Fern Kiner Freeman.
Surviving are a son, Arthur E. of Duncannon; a daughter, Sharon Keller Drayer of Harrisburg; a brother, Robert of Duncannon; two sisters, Christine Bungo of Linglestown and Violet Wells of Carlisle; and four grandchildren, Michelle and Michael Keller and Kevin and Kristen Drayer, all of Harrisburg.
Services were held May 11 in Neill Funeral Home, Paxtang. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.

Frank W. Forrer, 87, of N. Lincoln Street, Duncannon, died Saturday, April 7, 2001 at home.
He was born March 5, 1914 in Trotville, N.C., to the late Tolbert and Dessie (Frye) Forrer.
He founded Forrer Dodge in Duncannon, and was a Dodge dealer since 1944.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Duncannon, Perry Lodge 458, F&AM, Marysville, Harrisburg Consistory, Harrisburg Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Perry-Juniata Shrine Club, Zembo Temple, Harrisburg, and Knights of Pythias, Marysville.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Hess Forrer; a son, Frank L. of Duncannon; two brothers, Paul T. of Gearhart, Ore., and Richard S. of Northfield, Ohio; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held April 10 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Alan Foor officiating. Burial was in Duncannon Cemetery.

Harvey D. Fuller, 92, formerly of Millerstown RR 1 and Harrisburg, died Saturday, June 2, 2001 in Dauphin Manor, Harrisburg.
He was born June 17 1908 in Saville Twp. to the late Brady S. and Maude M. (Fritz) Fuller.
He retired as a sawmill truck driver and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two nephews and two nieces.
Services were held June 8 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville. Graveside services, with military honors, were held June 8 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The Rev. Malcolm E. Martin officiated at the services.
Harry G. "Dutch" Fleisher, 84, of Donnally Mills, Millerstown RR 1, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001 at home.
He was born Feb. 7, 1916 in Perry County to the late George and Bertha (Campbell) Fleisher.
He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation; was a member of Donnally Mills United Methodist Church; and enjoyed gardening.
He was the widower of Mary Shiffer Fleisher.
Surviving are his wife, M. Rebecca Fleisher; two sons, Roger A. of Boiling Springs and Mark of Westerville, Ohio; a stepson, Harry Bingaman of Newport; a stepdaughter, Beth Campbell of Harrisburg; a brother, Ronald of Duncannon; three sisters, Maxine Hartman of Camp Hill, Shirley Zeigler of Duncannon and Gladys Shiffer of Harrisburg; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 21 in his church with the Rev. Dr. James Behrens officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.
