Joyce A. Hetrick
Born in Pennbrook, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ira Kelly and Fairy P. (Kise) Zimmerman. Her husband, Paul J. Hetrick, preceded her in death.
Surviving are: a daughter, Diane Ruth Hetrick, Lancaster; three brothers, James D., husband of Annabelle "Shorty" Zimmerman, Harrisburg, Jack K., husband of Marge Zimmerman, Burnham, and Jerry H. Zimmerman, Shermanstown; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Arlene Henry Stum, Melissa S. Urban, and Andrea Swiger.

She was a graduate of Derry Township High School, Yeagertown.
She retired in 2000 as an innkeeper at Village Inn, Bird-in-Hand. She previously worked as a diet clerk at the former Saint Joseph's Hospital from 1979 to 1995, and on line for Shick.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home of Fred P. Groff Inc., 234 West Orange Street, Lancaster with Rev. Rick Christopher officiating. Interment will be at Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's name to the Heartland Hospice, 250 College Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17604 of the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603-9983.
Maureen Hetrick
Born in Bryn Mawr, she was the daughter of William and Joanne (Kraft) Day of Lansdale. Her husband of seven years, Jeffrey Hetrick, survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Kerry Monastra, Perkasie; a brother, Brendan Day, Niceville, FL; maternal grandmother, Mildred Kraft, Sun City Center, FL; nieces and nephews.
She was the granddaughter of Helen and the late Sherman Kline, and Renna and the late William Hetrick of Lewistown.
She was a physical therapist for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, Allentown. She graduated from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, and received a master's degree in physical therapy in 1995 from Hahnemann University, Philadelphia.
She was a member of Trinity Catholic Church, Whitehall, and Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall Township.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 16, at Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, North Wales, Montgomery County. Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, New Britain, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials maybe sent to Hope Lodge, Hummelstown, or Grand View Hospice, Sellersville.
James Donald Hildebrandt
Born March 17, 1950, he was the son of the late James M. and Lillian Hildebrandt of Enola.
He graduated from East Pennsboro High School in 1968. He worked for 34 years in the electrical construction industry and was a member of the Local IBEW #143 and BICSI. For the past seven years he served as project manager for W.R. Casteel Co. Inc. of Hopwood.
He was a 32nd degree Free Mason and a member of the Harrisburg Consistory, S.P.R.S 32 degree, the Ruffed Grouse Association, the Wharton Gun Club and the National Sporting Clay Association.
Jim was passionate about sport shooting and boating on the Chesapeake Bay in Baltimore and enjoyed his Labrador Retrievers.
Surviving are: his wife of 34 years, Kathleen R. Hildebrandt of Gibbon Glade; two sons, Donald Patrick, Baltimore, MD, and James Michael and his wife Lara, McVeytown; two grandchildren, Victoria Nicole, 7, and Dalton James, 5, Hildebrandt; two brothers, Reed Horting and Charles Leach; two sisters, Dawn Zuber and Marty Powell; his mother-in-law, June A. McClurg; nephews, nieces and two great-nephews.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 12-1 p.m. Wednesday at the Hetrick Funeral Home, Harrisburg.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, New Cumberland.
A memorial service is being planned for 7 p.m. Thursday. Anyone interested in attending should call W.R. Casteel Co. Inc. at (724) 437-3672 for more information.

Foster Ray Hoar
Born Jan. 1, 1924, in Milroy, he was a son of the late Benjamin Foster and Bessie (Worrall) Hoar. His wife, Florence Ruth (Shank) Hoar, whom he married Jan. 20, 1951, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, Frederick R. Hoar, Reedsville; and two grandchildren, Sonny R. Hoar and Kurtis A. Hoar.
He was the last of his immediate family having been preceded in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death by: brothers, Lee Hoar and Glenn Hoar; and sisters, Ada Mateer and Sylvia Aurand.
He retired in 1988 as a supervisor from American Viscose, Lewistown, with 45 years of service.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Siglerville, the Marine Corps League, and Milroy American Legion.
He was a 1941 graduate of Milroy High School.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville with Pastor Rosalie N. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Siglerville.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Betty J. Hockenberry
Born Oct. 25, 1937, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late James S. and J. Ruth (Bell) Nealman. Her husband, Bruce W. "Elvis" Hockenberry, whom she married June 5, 1982, survives at RR1 Box 325, Port Royal.
Also surviving are: three step-children, William Floyd Hockenberry, Lewistown, Donald Eugene Hockenberry, Cresson, and Mrs. Michael (Vicki) Ditzler, RR4 Mifflintown; a sister, Anna M. McNaughton, RR3 Port Royal; and three step-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal with Rev. Marton J. Roberson officiating. Interment will be in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
A viewing will be held from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
James W. Hockenberry
Born Sept. 11, 1912, in Lack Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Samuel and M. Alice (Reeder) Hockenberry. His wife, Arlene O. Surviving are: two step-daughters, Shirley H. Schlegel, HC 63, Mifflintown and Mary E. Whitesel, Lewistown; two step-grandsons and two step-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was employed at Worralls Arco Station, Mifflintown until his retirement. In earlier life, he worked in a sawmill, as a tenant farmer and as a deliveryman for Wolfe Furniture, Lewistown.
His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Mifflintown Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Rev. Clair R. Troutman officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.
A viewing will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dorothy J. 'Dottie' Hoffman
Born Oct. 8, 1938 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Ruth (Brannen) Snyder. Her husband, Donald E. "Huffy" Hoffman, survives.
Also surviving are four sons: Harry Stewart, Sr., Mifflintown RR4, Donald J. Hoffman, McAlisterville, David E. Hoffman, Port Royal, and Daniel G. Hoffman, Anaheim, CA; three grandsons, David G. Hoffman, Harry Stewart, Jr. and Thomas Stewart, and three great-granddaughters.
She was a clerk with the Commonwealth of PA Public Utilities Commission, retiring after 35 years of service. She was a 1956 graduate of Juniata Joint High School and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to yard sales, and doing crossword puzzles.
Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. James Harper officiating. Interment will be in Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kenneth N. 'Kenny' Hoffman
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the McAlisterville Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes. Interment will be in Goodwill Cemetery, McAlisterville. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 7-9 p.m.
Margaret E. Hoffman
Born May 1, 1917 in Saville, Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Annie (Fritz) Fuller. Her husband, Harvey A. She is survived by: 3 sons and 2 daughters: James C. Hoffman and his wife, Helen, and Rebecca Schlegel and her husband, John, all of Thompsontown, Susan Imes, Cocolamus, John M. Hoffman and his wife, Melinda, McAlisterville, and Robert A. Hoffman, Ickesburg; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Rev. James A. Niemond, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Buffalo Cemetery (Saville Township), Ickesburg. There will be a viewing Friday evening 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Raymond C. 'Junior' Hoffman
Born Sept. 26, 1941, in Siglerville, he was a son of Irene (Foltz) Hoffman of Brookline Manor, Mifflintown, and the late Raymond Hoffman. His first wife, Carol A. (Leister) Hoffman, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Oct. 2, 1990. His second wife, Carol (Stroup) Kantz Hoffman, whom he married Jan. 17, 1998, survives.
Also surviving are: three daughters, Barbara Hornberger and her husband, Matthew, McClure, Tracey Heidler, Mifflintown RR4 and her fiance, Delmar Hart, Cocolamus, Susan Colyer and her husband, Todd, Thompsontown RD2; one stepson, Dennis Kantz and his wife, Annette, Evandale; one step-daughter, LouAnn Bilger and her husband, Scott, Richfield; two brothers, Ronald Hoffman, Mifflintown RR1 and Steven Hoffman, Mifflintown HC 63; four granddaughters, Alison and Elizabeth Heidler and Jenna and Leah Colyer; and six step-grandchildren.
He was a farmer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, playing games and spending time with his granddaughters.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Mifflintown RR4 with Rev. Kenneth Letner and Rev. Debby Bentch officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at the church and from 10 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of one's choice.

Verna I. Hoffman
Born Aug. 13, 1927, in Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Bessie Estep. Her husband, Harry S. Hoffman, preceded her in death.
Surviving are: six children, Thomas Hoffman, Sue Hoffman, Betty Miller, Nancy Hoffman, Richard Hoffman, and Ronald Hoffman, all of Lewistown; a brother, Fred Estep, Lewistown; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
