Surviving are: two sons, John R. Noland, at home and William N. Noland, 11 Chapel Dr., Lewistown; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Rev. Jacob T. Traxler officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.

Kathryn E. Norris
Born June 12, 1904, in Mifflintown, Juniata County, a daughter of the late William S. and Laura (Dumm) Singer. Surviving are: two sons, William E. Leonard, Mifflintown, and Jack L. Norris, Mechanicsburg; six daughters, Catherine Feight, Everett, Nancy Branyan, Philadelphia, Kathleen A. Rheinheimer, Bristol, IN, Jean Lyter and Joan Costello, both of New Cumberland and Sandra Norris, Carlisle; a brother, Ray Singer, Northridge Center, McAlisterville; 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Mechanicsburg Methodist Church. She attended Mechanicsburg Senior Citizens Center, and later Riverview Adult Day Center, Elkhart, IN.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing her own clothes.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the McAlisterville Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with Rev. David A. Cook officiating. Interment will be in Lost Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, McAlisterville.
A viewing will be from 4-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the family present from 7-9 p.m.

Howard W. Notestine
Born Aug. 19, 1915, in Granville Township, he was a son of the late Robert S. and Prudence (Snyder) Notestine.
Surviving are: a sister, Ruth Lepley, Gaithersburg, MD; eight nieces and nephews.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, and a graduate of Emporia College, Kansas.
He retired from the State School in Canonsburg where he was a teacher. He was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church and enjoyed hunting and throwing darts.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with Rev. Jeanette Mater officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
Friends may call from noon until the service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Myong Hwan O
Born Jan. 4, 1925, in South Korea, he and his wife moved to State College from Camp Hill in 1993 to reside with their youngest daughter, Dr. Kathryn O.
He was an athlete, physically muscular, one of the few persons to have traveled to North Korea to compete in wrestling in his youth (and win the title).
He was a devout spiritual man of prayer and faith, and a devoted, loving husband, grandfather, brother and animal lover. He was especially comforting and tender-hearted for the youngest daughter Kathryn after the loss of her mother (his wife).
He was married to Yong Su O for 53 years, who preceded him in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death May 30, 1998. He respected and adored her, and truly cherished their times together. After his wife passed away, his daily desire was to join her in Heaven, yet hesitant to leave his family in this life. He is now reunited in Heaven with his wife and loved ones.
He had a very close family, known as a "hero" especially to his grandchildren. He is survived by two daughters, Judy and Kathryn; three sons, Samuel and wife Yeun Chool, Peter and wife Susan, and Sae Eok and wife Sarah; 8 grandchildren, Julius, Angie, Tina, Jennifer, Titus, Monica, Michael and Matthew; a younger sister, Mija and the most precious pure white German Shepherd, Bobby Snowball. Bobby was a Father's Day gift from his daughter Kathryn, 20 days after the loss of his wife. Mr. O and Bobby were very close.
Private services were conducted at the convenience of the family. Burial was in Pine Hall Cemetery, State College.
Memorials may be sent to: Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3601 S. Atherton St., State College, PA 16801, in honor and gratitude of his wife who was treated with true Christ's love in her last years.
James C. Orndorf Sr.
Born Feb. 23, 1937, in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Helen (Kline) Orndorf.
Surviving are: four sons, Philip E. Orndorf, Spring Mills, James C. Orndorf Jr., Centre Hall, Eugene Kenneth Orndorf, Lewistown, and David Charles Orndorf, Mifflintown; two daughters, Mrs. James (Sherry) Whitehead, Yeagertown, and Mrs. Clinton (Donna) Young, Strodes Mills; a sister, Sarah Gilmore, Rebersburg; two brothers, Richard and Robert Orndorf, both of Spring Mills; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He worked as a lineman for Henkle and McCoy Inc., retiring in 1998. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ruth Terrill Orndorf
She was married to the late Richard E. Orndorf. They owned a farm in Juniata County for 51 years. They were also former residents of Huntingdon.
Born May 6, 1925, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late John and Dinah (Jenkins) Terrill.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail N. Orndorf, Old Town, ME, and son Stanley G. Orndorf and his wife, Debora, Lewistown.
Also surviving are: three brothers, John Terrill IV and wife, Alice, Lock Haven, David T. Terrill and wife, Barbara, Lock Haven, and Robert E. S. Terrill and wife, Helen, Falls Church, VA; three granddaughters, Rachel K. Byther and husband, Eric, Kara L. Thompson and husband, Chad, and Courtney E. Bell of Lewistown; six great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Tyler Byther, Hannah and Trevor Francis, and Grace and Adam Thompson, Old Town, ME.

She was a graduate of Lock Haven High School. She trained as a nurse at the University of PA Hospital in Philadelphia. Serving as a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps, she was a Veteran of World War II.
She was employed as a caseworker and supervisor for 29 years by the Department of Public Welfare, with the Boards of Assistance of Juniata and Huntingdon Counties. An avid vegetable and flower gardener, she was a life member of the National Council of Garden Clubs. She held numerous offices and committee positions in the Standing Stone Garden Club, Huntingdon.
After retirement, she traveled extensively in the United States and Europe. She enjoyed the hobbies of golf, bridge, gardening, and most recently making dried flower wreaths to share with friends and family. She was a Red Cross volunteer at the Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern, NC, serving as a Gray Lady for 12 years.
She regularly wrote letters to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and special high school friends. Corresponding with many other friends, cousins, nieces and nephews brought her great joy.
She represented Craven County, NC in swimming events as a Senior Olympist in 1987. She participated in the first National Senior Olympic Games even held in St. Louis, MI.
She will be remembered as a talented soprano soloist, having begun to sing publicly at the age of 9. Over the years she sang in churches, community events, clubs and pageants in Juniata, Mifflin, and Huntingdon counties. As a featured soloist, she sang in church choirs for over 35 years, as well as directing several choirs.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, New Bern, NC. Her special charities were the Juniata County Food Pantry in Mifflintown, PA 17059, Habitat for Humanity, and Neuse River Foundation, New Bern, NC 28562.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Lost Creek Presbyterian Church in McAlisterville, with Pastor Graham Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at the Otterbein Cemetery in East Salem.
Friends may call at the Guss Funeral Home at 20 S. Third St. in Mifflintown at 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
Richard L. Orth Sr.
Born Oct. 10, 1951, in Lewistown, he was a son of Elmer Orth and the late Janice Lepley. His wife, Betty, preceded him in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death May 9, 1994.
Surviving are: five children, Anna Wagner, Lewistown, Richard L. Orth, Jr., Lewistown, Mrs. Eric (Janice) Howell, Reedsville, and Megan and Melissa Orth, Lewistown; six brothers and sisters, Janice Lepley, Belleville, Fred Lepley, Laurelton, Sharon Stum, Middletown, Mike Orth, Pete Orth, and Ruth Hubbler, all of Lewistown; and four grandchildren.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Barr Funeral Home, Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with Father Thomas Marickovic officiating. Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
John W. 'Bill' Osborne
Born Jan. 31, 1925, in Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Charles and Kathryn (Russler) Osborne. His wife, Arietta K. (Niman) Osborne, whom he married March 12, 1943, survives at University Park Nursing Home, State College.
Also surviving are: two sons, Robert W. Osborne, Landisville, and Richard M. Osborne, Arlington, TX; two sisters, Mrs. William (Shirley) Ritter and Mrs. John (Virginia) Tate, both of Milroy; three brothers, Marlin Osborne and Gary Osborne, both of Lewistown, and Donald Osborne, Sterling, VA; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was employed by Lewistown Borough for 30 years as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 1987.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and retired with 30 years of service with the National Guard.
He was a member of VFW Post 7011, Lewistown, the Lewistown Eagles, and past member of Lewistown Moose Lodge #143.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Graveside military services will be conducted by VFW Post 7011.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the service time Monday at the funeral home.

Samuel T. Owens
Born Nov. 26, 1928, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Lewis Thomas and Nettie (Goss) Owens. He was the widower of Jean M. Owens.
He retired as former owner of the Owens Gulf Station, Camp Hill and was also the former owner of the Tally Ho Horse Farm, Dillsburg.
He was a member of the Lutheran faith. He was a graduate of Lewistown High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of West Shore Lodge #681, F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine and Zembo Legion of Honor. He was captain emeritus of the Zembo Mounted Patrol. Sam was a member and past president of the Mid-Atlantic Shrine Horse Patrol and a member of the International Shrine Horse Patrol.
He was also a member of Perseverance Royal Arch Chapter #21, Harrisburg Council #7, Pilgrim Commandery #11, Knights Templar, the Adams and York County Shrine Clubs, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Gettysburg Elks and the Dallastown American Legion.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill. Interment will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Lewistown.
A viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home where Masonic Service will be at 10:30 a.m.

Charles T. 'Red' Packer
Born Jan. 21, 1945, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Brannon) Packer.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Reid (Michelle) Hannon, 218 Sand Rock Road, Lewistown; three sisters, Theresa Beale, Wilma Blevins, and Nancy Cruse, all of Lewistown; and three grandchildren.
He worked in the melt shop at Standard Steel.
He was a U.S. Marine, serving in the Vietnam conflict.
He was a member of American Legion, Milroy and Mifflin County Sportsmen's Club.
His funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown with Pastor Kari Swigart officiating. Interment will be private.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
