Born June 6, 1923 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Robert P. and Clarina G. (Kieferle) Moyer. Her husband, John H. Rentschler, whom she married on Dec. 11, 1948 in Lewistown, preceded her in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death on June 27, 1990.
Surviving is a nephew-in-law, Dr. Kent Rentschler, Carlisle.
She was a 1940 graduate of Lewistown High School and also attended Bucknell University. She graduated as an R.N. from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in Feb., 1947.
She had worked as a part-time nursing supervisor at Allegheny Lutheran Home and The Home Nursing Agency.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Hollidaysburg, Altoona Council Navy League, Johns Hopkins Alumnae Association and Scotch Valley Country Club.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Mt. Rock Cemetery in Lewistown.
There will be no visitation.

James W. North Sr.
MILROY - James W. Born March 14, 1918, in Burnham, he was a son of the late James Edward and Lavinia (McVaugh) North. His wife, Mabel A. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Mount Rock Cemetery, Lewistown, with the Rev. Bert Bowen officiating. Interment will be in Mount Rock Cemetery.
There will be no public viewing.

Melvin J. Yoder

Born Sept. 3, 1928, in Reedsville, he was a son of the late David K. and Carrie (Yoder) Yoder. His wife, Betty L. (Kauffman) Yoder, whom he married on May 14, 1950, survives.

Yoder and wife, June, Mapleton Depot; a daughter, Luinda Grassmyer and husband, Michael, Belleville; a brother, Earl Yoder, and wife, Peggy, Belleville; two sisters, Shirley Power and husband, Ralph, Lewistown, and Darlis Strawser, and husband, Mervin, McAlisterville; five grandchildren, Fawne and Brittany Yoder, Kristen Sharp and husband, Troy, Kaylee Jo and Katrina Grassmyer; and a great-grandson, Logan Michael Sharp.

He was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church, Belleville and loved bowling and watching Little League baseball and softball. He was also a Dale Earnhardt NASCAR fan.
His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Grove Mennonite Church with the Rev. Alan Kauffman and the Rev. Erie Renno officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
The viewing will be 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Fortney Jr., Newton Hamilton, and Mrs. Kelvin (Roberta) Deavor, McVeytown; sisters, Charlotte Fletcher, Tyrone, Patsy Mellott, Frackville, and Kathleen Durbec, New Cumberland; a brother, Kenny Erb, RD McVeytown; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral and until the hour of service Tuesday. The Newton-Wayne Fire Company will conduct at memorial service at 6:45 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

She was a 1949 graduate of State College Area High School.
She was a school bus driver for the State College Area School District, retiring in 1993. She also farmed with her husband at their farm in Boalsburg.
She was a member of Reedsville Evangelical Lutheran Church, Victor Grange, Boalsburg and Rebakah Lodge, State College.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, with the Rev. Kenneth W. Longfield officiating. Interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown with Rev. John Bateman officiating. Interment will be in Birch Hill Cemetery, Burnham.
Graveside military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham. A scripture service will be held at 8:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Timothy W. Bingman officiating. Interment will be in the Faith Lutheran Cemetery, RR2 Richfield.
The viewing will be held 4-9 p.m. Friday at the McAlisterville Chapel of the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville with the family present 7-9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.
