She was born July 15, 1931 in Hallton, daughter of the late George and Geraldine Dobson Zimmerman.
On Aug. 20, 1955, in St. Leo's Church, Ridgway, she married George R. Jerko, who survives.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Ridgway High School, Class of 1950. She was a member of the St. Boniface Church and the church choir, member of the Elk County Cursillo Movement, Fox Township Senior Citizens and was a volunteer at the Guardian Angels Center.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Dr. Christine Jerko Ph.D. of Portland, Oregon; two sons, George R. Jerko Jr. of Bellefonte and Gregory S. Jerko and his wife, Cheryl of St. Marys; two grandsons, Mitchell Jerko and Matthew Jerko; and a brother, Jerry Zimmerman and his wife, Mary Ann of Kersey.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Sharon E. Jerko to be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Faluszczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

She was born April 28, 1932 in Emporium, daughter of the late Alfred and Veronica (Orsy) Mitcheltree. In 1949, she married Charles W. She was raised in Driftwood and lived in several local communities, including, Emporium, Johnsonburg, St. Marys, Ridgway and most recently DuBois. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her time with her family and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed having dinner out with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Gloria) Burdick of Ohio, Mrs. Clayton (Bonnie) Kunes of Treasure Lake and Mrs. Dan (Lori) Irwin of Curwensville; two sons, Charles P. and wife Linda Larkin of Brockway and James Larkin of Lock Haven; nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Wiggins and her partner, Dave Royer of Lancaster; and five brothers, Paul Mitcheltree of Emporium, Ted and wife Judy Mitcheltree of Erie, Bill and wife Kay Mitcheltree of Ridgway, John Mitcheltree of Florida and Denny and wife Marilyn Mitcheltree of Ridgway.

Funeral services for Patricia A. Larkin will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield with Pastor Dick Whitaker of the Treasure Lake Church officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Weedville.
Visitation will take place Thursday, Nov. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 19 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials to Hahne Cancer or DuBois Nursing Home.

Gloria Valentine Anderson

She was born Jan. 2, 1926, in Emporium, daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Husted Razey.
On Oct. 28, 1950 in the Sacred Heart Rectory, she married Firmin E. Valentine, who preceded her in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death on Aug. 18, 1979. On June 6, 1982, in Ludlow, she married Bertil L. She was a graduate of Emporium High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Mansfield University. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ridgway and served as organist for seven years. She also was a former choir director and organist for the Shiloh Presbyterian Church in St. Marys. She organized and directed "The Singing Dutchmen" for 28 years. She also had been employed by the St. Marys Area School District for three years.
At her church, she was a Ruling Elder and had chaired the Worship Committee and the Organ Committee. She was a member of the American Choral Directors Association; the Presbyterian Association of Musicians, Pittsburgh Chapter; honorary life member of the Associated Male Choruses of America; past chairperson, Committee of Worship, Kiskiminetas Presbytery; and a past member of the General Council, Kiskiminetas Presbytery. She received the President's award from the Associated Male Choruses of America and had organized and planned for a county-wide chorus to present a concert for the Sesquincentennial Celebration.
She is survived by two daughters, Victoria Valentine and her husband, Mark Conrad of Reston, Va., and Elizabeth Valentine and her husband, Joseph Gow of Lacrosse, WI; two sons, Gregory C. Valentine and his financee, Mary Ann Wolfe of St. Marys and Kenneth T. Valentine and his wife, Mary Beth of Charlotte, NC; two stepsons, James Anderson of Mechanicsburg and Douglas Anderson of Butler; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Karen Stanton and her husband, David of Plains, Kan.

Margaret H. "Mag" Pauline

Margaret H. "Mag" Pauline, 69, of 936 Fern Rd., St. Marys, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 at the Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born Aug. 11, 1941, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude Simbeck Hannibal. On June 23, 1962, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married John R. "Jack" Pauline, who survives.
Mrs. Pauline was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1959. She retired from the Brock Tax Service. She was a member of Queen of the World Church. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who always made you feel welcome and loved. To know Mag is to remember the smiling face and a true beauty that shined inside and out. Mag gave life a better quality for all those who knew her and for many others who were never blessed with the opportunity.
Her care, concern and genuine respect for many servicemen and women was shown through her many letters and thousands of hours she devoted to the Letters From Home project and these individuals. Many families were touched by her generous gifts of time, donations and smiles throughout the years and especially during the holidays.
One of her soft spots was for the Elk County Humane Society, caring for and supporting those sheltered there.
Her ultimate gift was through her organ donation, where Mag continues to show her unselfish love for others, even after life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lynn Young of St. Marys and Jackie Candalor and her husband, David, of St. Marys; a son, Ken Pauline and his wife, Kim, of Ridgway; four grandchildren, Jason Young, Jennifer Young, Megan Pauline and Lindsey Pauline; two sisters, Barbara Betta and her husband, Jim, of Weedville and Catherine Schneider and her husband, Ron, of St. Marys; and her loving dog Coco.

Christine M. Schloder, 43, of 2926 Maple Lane, Wilcox, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 following a brief illness.
She was born July 21, 1967 in St. Marys, a daughter of Thomas Schloder and Diane Arnold Schloder, both of St. Marys, who survive.
Christine worked for some time at CAPSEA and was a proud volunteer firefighter for the Penfield Fire Department. She was lovingly known as "Christine the Juggler" and loved entertaining people. She helped others by founding the organization SHEPP, Self Help Education Prevention Program, and authoring a book about bipolar disorder. Her achievements also included the production of a video to boost self-esteem. She enjoyed working as an equipment operator with her father and spending time with her beloved dog, Zoey. She had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and stargazing. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will always be remembered for her kindness.
In addition to her father, Thomas Schloder and his wife Kimberly, and her mother, Diane Arnold Schloder, she is survived by two daughters, Sheena Stefano of Indiana, and Jessica Stefano and her fiance, Michael Fiore of St. Marys; a granddaughter, Kahlan Fiore; three sisters, Cyndi Schloder of St. Marys, Lori Krise and her companion, Eric Elmquist, of St. Marys and Amy, Mrs. Michael Ryan, of Scranton; her maternal grandmother, Mariam Arnold of St. Marys, longtime friend, Andy Lecker of Wilcox; and a niece and two nephews.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Mary Rose Sharkey

Mary Rose Sharkey, 82, of 570 North Michael St., St. Marys, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010 at the Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 16, 1928 in Philadelphia, daughter of the late David W. O’Brien, MD, and Mary Rose Magee O’Brien. She was the beloved wife of Dennis A. Sharkey Jr., MD, who survives. They were married June 25, 1955 in Waynesboro, Va.
She was the beloved mother of Mary Rose Silber of Lutz, Fla., Denise Yeager of Bellefonte, and Dennis A. Sharkey III of Philadelphia. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Emily Rose Sarginger, Brian Robert Sarginger, Stephanie Magee Yeager, Caitlin Pamela Yeager and Andrew James Yeager. She will be greatly missed by them. She is also survived by two brothers, David W. O’Brien and the Reverend William S. O’Brien; and three sisters, Kathleen Spitzer, Anne Tompkins and Patricia Taylor. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sharkey graduated from Fairfax Hall in Waynesboro, Va., and in 1955 received a diploma from the Dental Hygiene School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. After moving to St. Marys, she worked for many years at the Elk County Catholic High School and then for local dentists, Dr. Chester Huth and Dr. Charles R. Haskell.
Among her numerous volunteer activities, she was a member of the then Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the head of the Candy Stripers. Along with her husband, she was a longtime supporter of the local United Way Campaign, being an original member of the Leadership Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Rose Sharkey will be celebrated in the St. Mary's Church on Monday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Center Street on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Nurses, Inc., 957 Johnsonburg Rd., Suite 200, St. Marys, PA 15857; or to the Benedictine Sisters, St. Joseph Monastery, 303 Church St., St. Marys, PA 15857.

Dormilee Ellen Feustel

Dormilee Ellen Feustel, 78, born and raised in Ridgway, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Monday, Nov. 15, at 9:55 a.m. at Conestoga View in Lancaster, under Hospice Care. She resided with her daughter, Cheryl Keener for many years in East Petersburg, until October 2010 after a terminal illness.
She was a member of the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Mountsville. She had many musical accomplishments including singing in many weddings. One of her favorite recognitions was directing and starring as the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music in November 1969 as part of the Footlighters Theater Group of Elk County.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Keener; a son, Mark Feustel (Cindy) of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers and sisters, Louise Larson of CT, Robert Matha of Appolo, Richard Matha, Nancy Rosetti, Dolores Kriegish and Peggy Mitchell all of Ridgway; grandchildren Joshua Keener, Amanda Mitcheltree and Chris Mitcheltree of Lancaster, John Feustel of Rochester, NY, Sarah York (Feustel) of CO; great grandchildren Judah Asher York and Fox Alan Mitcheltree.

John F. He was born March 25, 1926, in Johnsonburg, son of the late Lloyd B. and Viola Muroski Wachob.
On Sept. 25, 1946, in the Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, he married Bette J. Williams, who preceded him in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death on Dec. 27, 2007.
He was a resident of Johnsonburg all of his life, attended Johnsonburg schools and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1944. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Holy Name Society, life member of Central Hose Co., Johnsonburg-Wilcox Lions Club, of which he was a Charter Secretary, V.F.W., Johnsonburg B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 612, and a past member of Johnsonburg Rotary Club.
He got great enjoyment driving a school bus for over 20 years and was instrumental in authoring the legislation establishing the first Pennsylvania School Bus Driver's Day. He was a past officer and manager for Johnsonburg Knothole, past instructor for Johnsonburg Biddy Basketball and started the Green Hornets Grade School basketball team. He also loved Big Band music, especially Andre Rieu, Hawaiian music, fishing, gardening and watching movies; and he especially loved watching Johnsonburg Area High School sports and sitting on his front porch with his Old English Sheepdog, Porsche.
He was a WWII Army veteran, serving as a Pvt. with the Army Air Corps. He served overseas with the 12th Communications Squadron Command. He had worked at New York & Pennsylvania Co., Sears & Roebuck Co., TV Time Foods as a territory manager, and for Paper City Bus Lines and Muccio School Transportation Service as a driver for 20 years beginning in 1984 and retiring in 2004. He also was the owner of Wachob Fundraising Specialties.
He is survived by a son, William "Bill" Wachob of La Jolla, Ca.; two daughters, Cynthia L., Mrs. James DeAngelo, and Janis M., Mrs. Denny Asti, both of Johnsonburg; three grandchildren, Troy Asti and his wife, Meghann, Allyson, Mrs. Ryan Miller, and Erin, Mrs. Mike Brinkley; and two great-grandchildren, Kole Asti and Caitlyn Brinkley.

Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
An Elks Lodge of Sorrows Service will be conducted at the funeral home tonight at 6:45 p.m.
