Born October 20, 1941 in Cranberry Twp., he was the son of the late Walter & Agnes Herda Kirby. Mr. Kirby retired in 1997 from the former McKay Cadillac in Wexford where he had been the Service Manager. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era.

He is survived by 2 sons, Christopher Kirby of Cranberry Twp., and Eric Kirby of Connoquenessing; former wife, Patricia Kirby of Pittsburgh; 3 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Walter Kirby of Wyandotte, MI, and Thomas Kirby of Zelienople; 5 sisters, Carol Gaudiello of Cranberry Twp., Jean Lindner of Coraopolis, PA, Nancy West of McKees Rocks, Agnes Reiser of Cranberry Twp., and Delores Kobel of Baden. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a brother, Harry Kirby and a sister Lenora Goehring.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Twp.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Pinewood Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Twp.

She is survived by 3 sons, Robert N. Gettings, Jr. & his wife Lois of Cranberry Twp., Ralph W. Gettings of Florence, SC and Timothy E. Gettings of Wayne, PA; a brother, Robert Beck of Sharon, PA; a sister, Ruth Ivancik of Pittsburgh; 2 grandchildren, Robert N. Gettings III of Cranberry Twp. and Jessica Lee Gettings of Missoula, MT; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Robert N. Gettings, Sr. in 1975.

Friends will be received 12:00PM - 1:00PM Thursday, May 26 at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Twp. . with a Memorial Service to follow at 1 PM, the Rev. Frank Edwin Heller, pastor of Plains Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Age 87, of Cabot, formerly of Cranberry Twp., on Wednesday, May 18, 2005; husband of the late Eileen; father of Edward (Lois) Pesyna of Denver, CO, Barbara Bauer and Thomas (Ellen) Pesyna of Pittsburgh, Elaine (Raymond) Gonsowski of Twinburg, OH, Robert (Laurie) Pesyna of Cranberry Twp., James (Rebecca) Pesyna of W. Homestead, Richard Pesyna of Philadelphia, Kenneth (Trish) Pesyna of Indianapolis, IN and Laurence Pesyna of Westerville, OH; brother of Sylvan, Theodore and Joseph Pescyna, Lorraine Loren, Bernadette Armicida and the late Regina Markiewicz, Marie Jasenak, John, and Anthony Pesyna; also survived by 17 grandchildren & several great-grandchildren.

Ed was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Cranberry Twp. and enjoyed woodworking, gardening & music.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs. of Cranberry Twp., Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Friday, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Twp.

Interment Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.

David C. Humes

Born February 22, 1942 in Wheeling, WV, he was the son of Ralph & Lillian Humes and the late Ruth Smith Humes. Mr. Humes attended Dutilh United Methodist Church, Cranberry Twp. . He retired as Cab Control Supervisor from Conrail in Conway, following 40 years of service. He had been a dedicated Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 7 in Ohio and Troop 405, Cranberry Twp. . He was a member of the Transportation Communication International Union and was a Sustaining Member of the Republican National Committee. He was a model railroad enthusiast, an avid Pirates & Steelers fan and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Schrader) Humes, whom he married July 18, 1964; his parents, Ralph & Lillian Humes of Mingo Junction, OH; 4 sons, Todd “Mingo” Humes & wife Rachel (Gerrich) of Cranberry Twp., Jeffrey Humes & wife Beth (Ludwik) of Butler, Michael Humes & wife Jennifer (Tracy) of Farmington, CT, Scott Humes of Cranberry Twp., 2 brothers, Eugene Humes of Mingo Junction, OH, Harry Humes of Grayson, KY; a sister, Dana Cangley of Mingo Junction, OH; 6 grandchildren, Kaitlin Humes, Michael Humes, Alexander Humes, Tristan Humes, Zachary Humes, Jacob Humes; mother-in-law, Sue Schrader of Mingo Junction, OH. He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Ruth (Smith) Humes.

Friends will be received 7-9 PM Wednesday & 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., of Cranberry Twp., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Twp.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, June 3rd at Dutilh United Methodist Church, 1270 Dutilh Rd., Cranberry Twp., with the Rev. Dr. Donald G. Scandrol, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Marshall Twp.

Ethel Mae Kennedy

Mrs. Kennedy worked at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp. & the Gateway Grill.

She is survived by 3 sons, William E. Kennedy & friend Christina Stevenson, of Warrendale, James C. Kennedy Jr., & Michael J. Kennedy & friend Patty Andrews of Cranberry Twp. ; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Christy of Florida & Arclie Katchmar & her husband Edward of Monroeville.

Also survived by a grandchild, a great grandchild, many nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by husband James Kennedy, brother, Forest Nesline, & sister Mabel Wilkie

Born April 20, 2005 at Butler Memorial Hospital, he was the infant son of Joseph J. McKittrick III & Melissa Herdlick. Also survived by maternal grandparents, Howard & Valerie Immekus of Cranberry Twp. ; paternal grandmother, Frances Shafer of Pittsburgh; 2 sisters, Emily and Madison Herdlick and 1 brother Nathan Herdlick. He was preceded by his paternal grandfather, Joseph J. McKittrick, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:30AM Wednesday at Three Rivers Free Will Baptist Church, 20401 Rt. 19, Cranberry Twp. .

Ruth Wilson Kline

Born August 10, 1917 in Hammond, IN, she was the daughter of the late William C. & Bess D. (Smith) Wilson.

Mrs. Kline had been an executive secretary for much of her life. She had served her community on the Mars Borough Planning Commission for a number of years; and she had been a member of the Health and Welfare Council of Western PA.

Mrs. Kline had enjoyed traveling and gourmet cooking as well as the pursuit of her baccalaureate degree. She had been an avid Steelers and Pirates fan.

Mrs. Kline had been a former, active member of St. John Lutheran Church of Mars and a lifelong devoted Christian.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Sarah E. Kline of Mars.

She had been married to the late Ross G. Kline, who Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">passed away on June 6, 1999. A sister also preceded her in death.

Visitation and funeral services were held Friday, June 10, 2005 at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Twp. with Rev. C. Russell Kerr and Father John Gallagher officiating.

Burial was in the Butler County Memorial Park, Butler.

She is survived by a daughter, B. Lynn Myers & husband Robert of Zelienople; 2 sons, A. Scott Rodgers & wife Linda of Churchill, K. Ward Rodgers & wife Sandy of Gibsonia; 1 sister, Julia Haas of Castle Shannon; 8 grandchildren, Sheldon S. Rodgers, Steven R. Myers, Desiree S. Deasy, Sherrie L. Northrup, B. Shawn Rodgers, K. Kris Rodgers, C. Matthew Rodgers, and J. Brett Rodgers; 9 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Arthur D. Rodgers and also by 2 brothers, James B. MacPherson and Kenneth W. MacPherson.

Services will be private.
