Born in Trumbauersville she was the daughter of the late Harvey B. & Laura (Oberholtzer) Shup.
She worked as an interior designer for Metro of Allentown for 15 years, and also worked 5 years for Furniture Unlimited of Quakertown. She then opened her own design business "Ace Interior" until retiring in 1982. After retirement she worked for a private career school in Pittsburgh as an admission consultant until 1995.
Joyce graduated from the Interior Design School of Chicago and she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Trumbauersville.
She is survived by a brother Homer O. Shup of Trumbauersville. Three nieces Irene Heiney of New York, Wanda Russo of Bristol and Patricia Ferick of Lancaster.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.

Otto M. Fink
He was a self employed farmer before his retirement.
Born in Richboro he was the son of the late Mathias and Crescent (Eck) Fink.
Otto was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Quakertown where he was a former member of the vestry, property committee and men's group. He also enjoyed trips to the Atlantic City Casinos.
He is survived by a daughter Fran E. wife of Bruce W. Graeff of Birdsboro. He was predeceased by a sister Grace.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 19, 2008 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 560 S. Main St. Quakertown PA 18951. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening March 18, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. There will be no calling hours on Wednesday.

Eleanor S. Johnson
Born in Laureys Station, Northampton County she was the daughter of the late Henry David & Helen Peace (Leh) Scheirer.
Eleanor was a graduate of the former Hoff Nursing School and the former Allentown School of Nursing. She then became a registered nurse and devoted over 40 years of her life to nursing. Retiring in 1987 as the Infection Control Nurse at the former Quakertown Community Hospital. Prior to that she served as head nurse at the hospital.
She was a volunteer of the Quakertown Food Pantry and also a member of the Quakertown Senior Center where she volunteered doing blood pressure screening.
She was a member of the 25 year Club of the former Quakertown Community Hospital. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, cryptograms, was an avid reader and loved Jeopardy.
She was a member of Quakertown United Methodist Church which she loved so dearly.
Eleanor is survived by her children Deborah J. Wilson of Newtown Square, Eric S. Johnson and his wife Colleen of West Chester and Rosalyn C. Johnson and her partner Linda Ciolfi of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Two sisters Miriam Stortz of Illinois and Gladys Scheirer of Allentown. A sister in law Melvina Lohmann and her husband Eddie of Macungie. Two grandchildren Jason Wilson and his wife Megan and Shawn Johnson.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Quakertown United Methodist Church 1875 Freier Rd. Quakertown. Call Thursday 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.

Richard M. Harwick
Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of the late Richard W. and Bertha May (Yost) Harwick.
Prior to his retirement, Richard was employed by the U.S. Gauge/Ametek Division in Sellersville as a plater.
Richard was a member of the North Penn Gun Club. He enjoyed woodworking and took great pride in caring for his lawn.
He will be remembered as a quiet man who was proud of his family. Richard also enjoyed spending time with his grand dog Sophie.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Linda and Donna, both of Quakertown and two sisters - Ruth and Joan. He was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Tuesday 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.

Erma V. Holzerman
She was the daughter of the late Preston & Bertha (Meyers) Stevenback.
She was a nurse for the former North Penn Hospital retiring in 1995.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale.
Erma is survived by two daughters Kathleen A. Fenimore of Lansdale and Nancy E. Reinford and her husband William of Telford. Three grandchildren Stephanie Ann Bryan, Kimberly Kyle Bryan, and Jessica Lynn Bryan. She was predeceased by two brothers Harvey Stevenback and Harold Stevenback.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Tuesday 1:00-2:00 P.M. in the funeral home.

Ruth Groner
Born in Bangor, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert & Anne Rowlands.
Ruth was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Quakertown.
She is survived by a son William D. and his wife Janet of Quakertown. Three grandchildren Scott, Brian, and Kristin. Two great grandchildren Megan and Rachel.
Services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Monday 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Bangor, Pa.

John Bruce Hagan
He began his career as a country stockbroker with Merrill Lynch and retired from Smith Barney in 2007.
Bruce loved to travel, especially to St. Thomas, where he maintained a second home, and he loved Ireland, he had already made plans for a trip later this year.
Bruce was a member of the Wayne Rotary and served a term as President. He was also a former member of the Wayne Jaycees, former President of the Board of Directors of The Crefeld School in Chestnut Hill, and Past President of the Board of the Tulane Alumni Association.
Bruce grew up in Quakertown, Pa. He graduated from Princeton University, where he sang with the Glee Club and was one of the original members of the Footnotes. He received a law degree from Tulane Law School.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother S. Mildred Hagan, his children Leslie A. Bone of Toccoa Falls, Georgia, J. Brent Hagan of Phoenixville, Pa., and Liz of Wayne, and 9 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Wayne. Interment will be private. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.
Raymond Loye Gregory
Born in Webster Springs, West Virginia he was the son of the late James C. & Effie (Hamrick) Gregory.
Prior to retirement, he worked as a machine operator for Avery Dennison Corporation in Quakertown. Named after "Traveling Cowboy Loye", a country musician, he was the youngest of thirteen children. Along with all eight of his brothers, he proudly served in the United States Military. As an Air Controlman for the United States Navy, Loye assumed responsibility for the John F. Kennedy First Family travel through the Anacostia Air Force Base in Washington, D.C. He will be lovingly remembered as a man with a great sense of humor who was proud of his family and cherished the times he spent with them.
He is survived by a son Kevin Gregory of Alburtis and a daughter Deborah Gan and her husband Thomas of Doylestown; two brothers - Clinton of Dayton, Ohio and Madison of Diana, WV; a sister Betty of West Virginia; three grandchildren Sarah, Connor, and Aaron; and his "best buddy" John Francis Hamrick. He was predeceased by nine siblings Arden, Charles, Hubert, Victor, Bud, Wib, Merle, Ruby and Ruth.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call 9:30-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.

Edward Mielke
Born in Old Germany (now Poland) on February 2, 1919 he was the son of the late Samuel & Helene (Schmidt) Mielke.
Ed came to this Country as a Master Cabinetmaker who soon became a highly qualified Machinist working 20 years at Brooks Instrument in Hatfield.
He was a member of Little Zion Lutheran Church in Telford.
He is survived by a daughter Annette McGough and her husband Gerry of Sellersville. Seven grandchildren Maria (McGough) Carlson, Teresa (McGough) Tedesco, Shawn McGough, Thomas McGough, Kristina Mielke, Kimberly Mielke, and Hans Mielke. Great grandchildren Annalise Carlson and Lorelei Carlson. He was also preceded in death by a son Hans Mielke.
Services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in Little Zion Lutheran Church, 267 Morwood Rd. Telford, Pa 18969. Call 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert O. Keller
Born in Elizabeth, NJ he was the son of the late Earl J. & Hazel M. (Ballinger) Keller.
Prior to his retirement Robert was employed at the Lehigh Valley Postal Center.
Robert was a member of the Richland Twp. Parks and Recreation Board and also enjoyed playing the piano and guitar. He proudly served in the U. S. Army Reserves where he held the rank of Sergeant First Class.
He was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Ivers and his wife Crystal, a step son Juan Rugliancich. A brother Richard and three sisters Patricia Quier, Maryanne Hefele, and Helen Chandler. Three grandchildren Sarah, Mitchell, and Savannah. Predeceased by a sister Kathleen Haring.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. in St. Isidore's Catholic Church 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown. Call 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.

William D. Lutz
Born in Lansdale he was the son of the late William W. & Mary Ellen (Wenhold) Lutz .
He retired in 1991 from the former Gasboy, Inc. in Lansdale.
William was active in the Community League, and loved boating, the beach, and landscaping. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Sellersville.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons William C. and his wife Dorothy of Lansdale, and Steven G. and his wife Marsha of Milford Square. A sister and a brother. Seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Daniel J. and a great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Michaels Lutheran Church 25 E. Church St., Sellersville. Call 10:30-11:00 A.M. at the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.

Betty J. Swartz
Born in Quakertown she was the daughter of the late Irwin & Elsie E. (Beyer) Nace.
She is survived by a son Ira S. and his wife Alissa of North Ridgeville, OH and a daughter Pamela Swartz-Cope and her husband Robert G. Cope, Jr. of Quakertown. A brother Leonard L. Nace and his wife Jean of Quakertown. Two grandchildren Ira S., II, and Alyse Ann. She was predeceased by two brothers Randall, and Gerald.
