Born in Allentown, he was the son of Anna (Hoffman) Benner and the late George Spaits.
Charles worked as a machinist for Triumph Controls, Inc. in North Wales, PA.
Charles was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Applebachsville and a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He served in the Vietnam War, where he received the Navy Unit Commendation and Vietnam Service Medal.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Charles H., Jr. of Quakertown and Christopher G. of Red Hill, two daughters; Cindy R. Babcock and her husband Walter, and Michelle C. Spaits, both of Louisville, KY., two brothers; Robert Mumbauer of Kutztown and Robert Mumbauer and his wife Maryann of Emmaus., two sisters; Beverly Fisher and her husband William, of Winter Haven, FL, and Nancy Andrews and her husband Harold, of Allentown, PA, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step father, Paul W. Benner, a step son, Christopher A. Sakautzki, a brother, Theodore Mumbauer, and two sisters, Barbara White and Joan Lukow.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14th at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Applebachsville.

Marion B. Berry
Born in Elkhart, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Stephen & Evelyn (Ashton) Dorsey.
She retired in 1978 after 14 years of service with the Ambler Borough Police serving as a crossing guard.
She was a member of Trinity Great Swamp U.C.C. in Spinnerstown.
She is survived by two sons Charles Haley and his wife Ann of New Tripoli, George E. Berry, III and his wife Suzanne of Lower Gwynedd. Two daughters Susan E. wife of Francis Taverna of Harleysville and Jo Ann Haley of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Three brothers Stephen, Tom, & Bobby and a sister Margie. 10 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2005 at 11:30 A.M. at Trinity Great Swamp U.C.C., Spinnerstown, PA. Call Monday 10:30-11:30 A.M. in the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.

LeRoy A. Huber
Born in Coopersburg he was the son of the late William E. & Florence J. (Stein) Huber.
He owned and operated Huber's Variety Store in Trumbauersville for 27 years. After his retirement he was employed by Esten Lumber Company for 10 years.
He was a member of Trumbauersville Fire Co. and served on the Fire Police for 50 years.
He also served on the Trumbauersville Borough Council for several years, and was President for a term.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Trumbauersville where he served as a member of several boards, and also as treasurer.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater, during WW II.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Gene A. Huber and his wife Beverly K. of West Chester, PA. A daughter Sharon K. wife of Joseph E. Broscious of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Two brothers Clarence Huber and Raymond Huber both of Allentown. A sister Joyce (Huber) Rothrock of St. Petersburg, FL. Five grandchildren Brian A. Huber and his wife Lisa M., Peter M. Huber, Sarah E. wife of Aaron M. Pollock, Joseph E. Broscious, Jr. and his wife Elena M. and Timothy Broscious. Five great grandchildren Adrianna Marie, Emmalyn Morgan, Izabella Madison, Onalla Mae, and Ulainna Maris. He was predeceased by a brother Wilbur Huber.
Services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Friday 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Merrick Y. Huyett
Born in Wilmington, Delaware he was the son of the late Daniel D. & India (Jervis) Huyett.
He retired in 1978 as a sales manager for Carrier Air Conditioning in the Washington D.C. Area and in other Northeast Cities.
He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity at Case Western Reserve in Ohio.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons William Merrick Huyett and his wife Anne of Lodi, California and Richard Lane Huyett and his wife Denise of Quakertown. Three grandchildren Matthew Merrick Huyett, Sarah Elizabeth Benson, and Karla Michelle Huyett. One great grandson Robert Palmer Benson.
Services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 5:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Monday 4:00-5:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 P.M. in the Friends of Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown, Maryland.
Grace Polito
She was born in Sicily, Italy.
She was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown.
She is survived by two daughters Connie wife of Burt Ling and Linette Polito both of Quakertown. Three grandchildren Robert Spencer, David Spencer, & Laura Reil. Three great grandchildren Brandon, Dylan & Ava Grace.
A mass will be held on Monday. April 11, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Isidore's Catholic Churh 531 W. Broad St. Quakertown. There will be no calling hours. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, is in charge of the arrangements.

Frank T. Bednarski, Jr.
Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Frank T. Bednarski, Sr. and Elizabeth B. (Crosby) Bednarski of Lansdale.
He attended St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a sister Rose.

Elizabeth M. Gerstenberg
Born in Wassergass, she was the daughter of the late Floyd & Mary (Pfanenschlag) Bortz.
She worked at the former Jordan Clothing Company in Quakertown as a sewing machine operator before retiring in 1982. Prior to that she worked at Spinlon, Inc. and Swan Lee Factory.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Route 212, Coopersburg, Springfield Township.
She is survived by one son Robert C. of Quakertown and one daughter Linda S. Fletcher of Walnutport. 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Alvin B. Gerstenberg, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Rte 212, Coopersburg. Call 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.

Florence "Bunny" Ammon
Although employed for many years as an administrative assistant at the Willow Grove Naval Air Station, Bunny's lifetime work was the welfare of animals.
Bunny was founder and operator of Bunny's Animal Shelter, a 12 acre sanctuary in Perkasie for abandoned dogs and cats. Part of her mission was feeding and rescuing stray dogs in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park.
Fondly known to her friends and supporters as "Mother Theresa" of animals, Bunny devoted her entire life as a selfless steward of God's most helpless creatures.
She was the daughter of the late George & Florence (Wenstrom) Ammon and is survived by a sister Dorothy Nugent, a niece and two nephews. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to be held on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Bunny's Animal Shelter. 810 Middle Rd., Perkasie, Pa 18944. The C. R. Adolph J. Bobiak
Born in Pleasant Valley, Bucks County he was the son of the late Bruno & Louise (Reichert) Bobiak.
He was a sheet metal worker for Met-Pro Inc., in Lansdale before his retirement.
He was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of WW II serving as an airplane mechanic.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Larry and his wife Joanne. Three grandchildren Matt, John and his wife Sarah and Anne. A brother Raymond. He was predeceased by a son Karl and a brother Michael.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 25, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Isidore's Catholic Church 531 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Sunday evening 7:00-8:30 P.M. and Monday 9:00-10:00 A.M. at the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.

Mary C. Sailer
Born in Curtin Township, Centre County, PA she was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. & Rosie I. (Confer) VanGorden.
During WW II she worked for the former Sylvania, Inc. in Lock Haven, PA doing Navy contract work. Before her retirement she was a waitress for the former Howard Johnson's in Glenside and the former Gimbels in Cheltenham.
She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg.
She was a former member of the former St. Francis DeSales Mission Guild in Philadelphia.
She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.
She is survived by two daughters Mary Ellen Paulk and Rose A. wife of Ray Anderson both of Red Hill. A brother Lloyd S. VanGorden and his wife Donna of Akron, PA. A sister Sarah L. wife of Donald Stringfellow of Mill Hall, PA. Four grandchildren Tracey, Eric, Amy, & R.J. and two great grandchildren Matthew & Tyler. She was predeceased by a sister Edna G. Burnell.

Catherine Mary Vorndran
Born in New York City she was the daughter of the late George & Mary (Bendish) Evans.
Catherine retired in 1981 as Head Librarian of the James A. Michener Branch of the Bucks County Free Library in Quakertown.
She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Quakertown.
Survivors: Sons Mark A. and his wife Diane of Pleasant Valley, Steven C. and his wife Mary of Downingtown, and Christian J. of Quakertown. Grandchildren Bryan, Kevin, Karen, Michael, and Nicholas.
A Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M., May 4, 2005 at St. Isidore Catholic Church Quakertown. Visitation in the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. William L. Batcsics, Sr
He was a heavy equipment operator last employed by Calabrette Excavating in Quakertown.
Born in Haycock Twsp., he was the son of the late George & Mary (Merklin) Batcsics.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran Serving during WW II.
He was a member of the Silver Creek Athletic Association and a former member of the Quakertown American Legion Post #242.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons William L., Jr. and his wife Sandra, James E. and his wife Kathy, Robert B. and his companion Bonnie all of Quakertown, Terry L. and his wife Vicki of Spinnerstown and Barry D. and his companion Roxanne of Trumbauersville. Three daughters Barbara, Sharon wife of Charles Weil both of Quakertown and Diane of Trumbauersville. A sister Edith Strawn of Bethlehem. 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Ernest and a sister Anna Drake.

Arlene M. Carlson
Born in Richlandtown she was the daughter of the late Charles & Dorothy (Bergstresser) Layton.
She was a seamstress for the former Quakertown Clothing in Quakertown.
She enjoyed and loved caring for her grandchildren Trisha, Tara, and Theresa Slemmer, Heather Janney and Derek Scherff.
In addition to her husband and grandchildren she is survived by a son Robert Bruce Carlson and two daughters Debra wife of Dale Slemmer and Lori wife of Jason Scherff all of Quakertown. Three brothers Richard Layton, Thomas Layton, and David Layton. Two sisters Mary Lew and Catherine Hibbs and an uncle Frank Bergstresser and his wife Helen. She was predeceased by a brother Phillip.
