She was born in Washington, April 24, 1926, a daughter of Joseph and Katherine Sterk Hennick.
Mrs. Passo was a homemaker, a member of St. Hilary Catholic Church. On November 7, 1948, she married

She is survived by a son, Daniel J. Passo of Washington; three daughters, Christina P. Tomecsko of Houston; Donna L. Walker of Slat Rock, Mich.; and Mary C. Jestat of Rockwood, Mich.; two brothers, Frank and Harry Hennick, both of Washington; seven sisters, Mary Johnson of Colorado, Josephine Myers of Charleroi, Anna Herrholtz of Ohio, Angeline Latek of Washington, Elizabeth Budavich of Carnegie, Margaret Prall of Washington, and Virginia Budavich of Crafton; six grandchildren, Jennifer and Jonathan Tomecsko, Heather and Gail Walker, and Shelby and Michaela Jestat; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased are three brothers, Joseph, George, and John Hennick; and a sister, Katherine Deanhoffer.
Margaret Jane Ringler
A Mapletown High School graduate
Margaret Jane Ringler, 74, of Allons, Tenn., formerly of Greene County, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, July 13, 1997, in Doctors Hospital, Massillon, Ohio, while visiting family. She was born April 19, 1923, in Monongahela, a daughter of Thomas and Jane Hodgson Jones.
Mrs. Ringler was a 1940 graduate of Mapletown High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Livingston, Tenn.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond K. Ringler, whom she married
July 7, 1944; two sisters, Anne Rush of Cortland, Ohio, and Mildred Bock of Lewistown; a brother, Thomas Jones of Wellsville, Ohio; and a granddaughter.

William D. Tarr
Retired from Western Auto Supply Co., Detroit, Mich.
William D. Tarr, 75, of Dade City, Fla., formerly of Flat Rock, Mich., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 1997. He was born March 30, 1922, in Pittsburgh, son of James E. and Elizabeth James Tarr.
Mr. Tarr served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1941 through 1945 at Guadalcanal, British Solomon Islands, Hawaiian Islands, Eniwetok, Marshall Islands, Saipan, Tinian and Marinas Islands.
He was a sales manager for Western Auto Supply Co. in the Detroit, Mich., area, for 35 years, retiring in 1980.
Mr. Tarr was a life member of VFW Post 764 in Pennsylvania, American Legion Post 793 in Pennsylvania, Moose Lodge 397, Dade Ciity, Marine Corps League and Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are three sons, Tom of Monroe, Mich., John J. of Flat Rock and Daniel of South Carolina; one daughter, Sue Hannah of Monroe; one brother, Jack C. Tarr of Bridgeville; two sisters, Jennie Bell of Pittsburgh and Marian Wilbar of Norristown; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, William N. Tarr; and a brother, James Tarr.
Services and interment were held in Flat Rock.
Alfred Otto Elliott
Beallsville resident 71-year member of Odd Fellows
Alfred "Jake" Otto Elliott, 94, of Beallsville, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, July 14, 1997, in Washington County Health Center. He was born November 11, 1902, in Beallsville, a son of Jesse and Cora Brown Elliott.
Mr. Elliott worked for Peoples Natural Gas Co., retiring in 1966.
He was a member of the former Beallsville Presbyterian Church and most recently a member of Bentleyville Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Elliott was a member of the former Beallsville IOOF Lodge, a member of Brownsville IOOF 51 and a member of Odd Fellows for 71 years.
Surviving are his wife, Beulah Crumrine Elliott; two stepdaughters, Faye Miles and Sandra Walker, both of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, David Elliott of Scenery Hill; four sisters, Alfleda Fields and Ruth Amos of Washington, Eva Smith of Turtle Creek and Edna Snyder of California; three stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Joseph and Paul Elliott; and three sisters, Margaret Hess, Jane Gaskill and Rilma Elliott.
Joseph A. DeMarco
Pastor of Belmont Christian Church
The Rev. Joseph A. DeMarco, 79, of 1010 First Street, Canonsburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died at 5 a.m. Monday, July 14, 1997, at home. He was born July 2, 1918, in Midland, a son of Armando and Vincenza Santore DeMarco.
The Rev. DeMarco lived in Canonsburg most of his life, where he was pastor of Belmont Christian Church for the past 25 years. He was ordained to the ministry with the Christian Churches of North America on June 22, 1975. He also served as an interim pastor of various churches for several years, including the Italian Christian Church on Payne Place, Canonsburg, for six years.
The Rev. DeMarco worked in coal mines for 14 years and in several area mills, including Abex Corporation, where he retired in 1980.
He enjoyed gardening.
On May 6, 1939, he married
Rose Pacific DeMarco, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Armando Joseph, Richard Wayne and August John DeMarco, all of Canonsburg; two brothers, Romeo DeMarco of Houston and Fortunato Fred DeMarco of Canonsburg; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Mary Sarah Tornifolio and Gaetana DeMarco; and a brother, Augustine DeMarco.
Gerlando D'Angelo

Georgeina M. Furman

Mrs. Furman was a graduate of Mapletown High School and resided in the Greensboro area the past 85 years. She was the oldest living member of Greensboro Baptist Church and was a member of Emerald Chapter 135 of OES, Waynesburg.
For the past two years, Mrs. Furman was the oldest alumna at each all-class reunion held at Mapletown High School.
On July 25, 1933, she married

Barry and his wife, Bonny; two great-grandchildren, Brian and Nicole Barry; a sister, Henrietta M. Gapen of Greensboro R.D.1; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert C. Mavin and Everett K. Mavin.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 9, with the Rev. Donald E. Gillenwater Sr. officiating. Mr. Harvey had been a coal miner at Clyde 3 Mine and also worked at Hillman Barge Co. He was a mechanic and owned and operated an auto repair garage on Mack Coal Co. Hill for many years.
He was a member of Greene Valley Church of God.
On August 30, 1939, he married
Thelma L. Rogers, who survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Harold Harvey of Jefferson; and two sisters, Madaline Hetrick and Naomi Henderson, both of Carmichaels.
Deceased are a brother, George W. Harvey; and a sister, Anna L. Norman.
Services are private and interment will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor.
