(Ruby Memorial Hospital), Morgantown, W.Va., following a six-week illness.
He was born March 16, 1927, in North Jackson, Ohio, a son of Roy Dallas and Gladys Wise Bish.
Mr. Bish resided in the Hundred, W.Va., and Littleton areas for the past 32 years.
Mr. Bish was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was formerly employed in pipeline construction and high tower painting. For the past 32 years, he was an employee and manager of The Spot bar and restaurant in Hundred.
Mr. Bish was a member of Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461 and National Rifle Association and was an active supporter of West Virginia Fraternal Order of Police.
He was an avid coin collector.
Mr. Bish shared a home with Mabel Virginia Simms Thomas for 14 years prior to her death in 1986.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Bish of Youngstown, Ohio, and James Bish of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Patton of North Jackson; two stepdaughters, Laura E. Woods of Hundred and Nancy L. Foreman of Warren, Ohio; a stepson, Wayne E. Thomas of Warren; and two stepgrandchildren, Michael II and Macy Woods.
Deceased are a brother, Thomas E. Bish; and a granddaughter, Christina Bish.
Elbin Jordan Farabee

Elbin Jordan Farabee, 74, of Washington, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died at 6:20 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2004, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born February 24, 1930, in East Finley Township, a son of Benjamin Franklin and Elsie Cornelia Smith Farabee.
Mr. Farabee was a 1948 graduate of Claysville High School and a graduate of Penn State University.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with the 1816 Headquarters Company, 43rd Infantry Division. He received the Army of Occupation Medal-Germany and National Defense Service Medal.
Mr. Farabee was a vocational guidance counselor at Mansfield Senior High School and Western Area Career & Technology Center, Chartiers Township.
He was a member of Pennsylvania Area Teachers Association, Angus Association, Hereford Association and Farm Bureau.
Mr. Farabee was an avid reader and enjoyed outside work.
Surviving are two brothers, Kenneth of Washington and Roy Farabee of Plattsmouth, Neb.; a sister, Grace Somerville of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Clyde Farabee, is deceased.
Florian Hustava
WWII veteran retired from Atlas Railroad Construction
Florian (Fred) Hustava, 81, of Bentleyville (Somerset Township), Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, April 4, 2004, in his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 10, 1922, in Bentleyville, a son of Andrew and Anna Hustava.
In 1988, Mr. Hustava retired from Atlas Railroad Construction after many years of service.
He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, assigned to the 643rd Bomb Squadron involved in the air offensive of Normandy, northern France and Rhineland. For his service, he was awarded the Distinguished Unit Badge and European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with four bronze stars.
Mr. Hustava enjoyed gardening and sports.
On February 13, 1946, he married
Margaret Thomas, who survives. They celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Also surviving are three sons, Fred of Daisytown, Leroy of Brownsville and Harry Hustava of Clarksville; a brother, Andy Hustava of Bentleyville; five grandchildren, Lynn Wilson, Leroy, Brian and Nicole Hustava and Brandy Szejk; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, John, Mike and Steve Hustava; and two sisters, Mildred McKlebek and Elizabeth Hustava.
Robert Johns
Musician was veteran of WWII and Korea
Robert (Bob) Johns, 76, of Nashville, Tenn., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, in Nashville.
He was born December 12, 1927, in Canonsburg, a son of Helen F. Whitfield.
Mr. Johns was a former resident of Washington and Houston and attended Central Assembly of God Church in Houston.
He was a musician who played with Bobby Vinton, Lee Barrett, Danny Kaye, Perry Vincent and many jazz greats.
Mr. Johns was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
On August 19, 1959, he married
Nadine Harp, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Leslie J. McNally of Nashville; three sons, Bobby of Jacksonville, Fla., Larry of Cleveland, Tenn., and Frank Johns of Nashville; three grandchildren, Jessica McNally and Sarah and Rachael Johns; two stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ellen Raineri of Houston; and five brothers, Thomas, Larry, Wes and Terry Whitfield, all of Houston, and Ronald Whitfield of Warren, Ohio.
His stepfather, Tom Whitfield, and a sister, Marjorie Gillingham, are deceased.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray. Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, in Nashville, is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Douglass Knox

Mary Douglass Knox, 100, of Venetia, formerly of Claysville, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, April 5, 2004, in her grandson's home.
She was born July 19, 1903, in Petroleum, W.Va., a daughter of Dr. Edwin Holmes and Rozetta Fought Douglass.
Mrs. Knox was a member of Claysville United Presbyterian Church.
She was a graduate of Muskingum Academy and Muskingum College, both in Muskingum, Ohio.
Mrs. Knox taught home economics and English in Claysville and McGuffey school districts from 1927 until her retirement in 1965.
She was a member of Washington County Retired Teachers and Pennsylvania Association of Retired Teachers.
Mrs. Knox enjoyed knitting booties, gardening, cooking, canning, playing the piano and spending time with her family.
In 1929, in Wheeling, W.Va., she married

Surviving are a son, Douglass Knox of Claysville; a daughter, Camille K. Prothero of New Castle; a sister, Eleanor Hicks of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandsons, Douglass Knox II, Frank L. Knox III, Thomas K., J. Holmes and David S. Prothero; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Deceased are three brothers, George, Holmes and Paul Douglass; and a sister, Virginia Pepper.
Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2004, in Claysville United Presbyterian Church, Wayne Street, Claysville, with the Rev. Stan Fedyszyn officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to United Presbyterian Church, Claysville. Arrangements are being handled by Michael H. Heinrich Funeral Home, Claysville.
Howard Lloyd Pease

He was born August 22, 1918, in Eighty Four, a son of Howard and Mary McVay Pease.
Mr. Pease was Presbyterian.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater.
Mr. Pease was employed for 25 years as a security guard at the former Jessop Steel Co. in Washington, until his retirement in 1980.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, reading and especially spending time with his family.
On October 11, 1953, in Washington, he married
Eleanor J. McClure, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Walter Pease of Gainesville, Fla., Charles Menz Jr. of Southington, Ohio, James Pease of Gainesville and William Pease of Worthington Springs; six daughters, Mary Koster of Ivor, Va., Charlotte Pagrab of Brunswick, Ohio, Elaine Zacharyj of North Royalton, Ohio, Shirley Charlesworth of Anderson, S.C., and Patricia Miller and Donna Mounts, both of Claysville; a brother, Donald Pease of Tucson, Ariz.; 33 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A sister, Roberta Giffin, is deceased.
All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Claysville Christian Church, Claysville, PA 15323. Arrangements are being handled by Michael H. Heinrich Funeral Home, Claysville.
