He was born September 9, 1923, in Canonsburg, a son of Charles and Elizabeth Lefever Marshall.
Mr. Marshall was a former member of Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church.
He retired April 1, 1980, from Fisher Body in West Mifflin and was a member of the Slovak Club and GBU both of Canonsburg and the United Auto Workers.
Mr. Marshall was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division in New Guinea. He was a member of American Legion Post 902 of Houston and VFW Post 191 Canonsburg.
Twice married
, his first wife, Pearl Knox Marshall, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died August 24, 1975, and his second wife, Nancy Reese Ward Marshall, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died April 3, 1991.
Surviving are three sons, Jack F. of Thetford, England, Scott W. and Mark A., both of Houston; a daughter, Jill A. Knight of Cora Peake, N.C.; three stepdaughters, Jody Avolia of West Newton, Lori J. Ward of Scenery Hill and Cristy J. Berry of Amity.
Mathilda Marra
Former nurse and member of St. Anthony Church
Mathilda (Tillie) Marra, 85, of Jackson Street, Monongahela, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, September 6, 1997 in Mon Valley Hospital.
She was born December 21, 1911, in Gallatin, a daughter of John and Palmira Norini Dallo.
Mrs. Marra was a 1931 graduate of Monongahela High School and a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh.
She worked as a registered nurse at Monongahela Memorial Hospital, first as an operating room supervisor, then in the obstetrics department until her retirement in 1968.
She was a member of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Monongahela and its Altar Rosary and Christian Mothers Society.
She also was a member of the Christian Daughters of America and the Pennsylvania Nurses Association.
Surviving is her husband, Frank Marra, whom she married
December 2, 1958.
Also surviving are two sons, Samuel J. Marra and Marshall D. Marra, both of Monongahela; one daughter, JoAnne Lomago of Johnstown; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are one brother, Marshall Dallo; and three sisters, Mary Miller, Lena Affinito and Emma Hughes.
Merle Hundertmark
Former school teacher
Merle Edgar Hundertmark, 86, of Waynesburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, September 5, 1997, at the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, following a lengthy illness. She had lived at the nursing home for more than eight years.
She was born September 12, 1910, at Castile, a daughter of William Keys and Alice Anderson Edgar.
Mrs. Hundertmark was a 1928 graduate of West Bethlehem High School and attended Waynesburg College.
She worked as a school teacher for four years beginning in 1930 at the Edgar School in Washington Township. She also worked as a substitute teacher for several years.
From 1953 to 1960 she was employed as a recruiter for Penn Commercial College at Washington.
She was a former resident of Castile and served on the Washington Township Election Board and also as township assessor.
Mrs. Hundertmark was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Castile, the Morgan Township Farm Women, the Mt. Zion Missionary Society and the Bethlehem Baptist Guild Society at Ruff Creek.
On June 30, 1934, she married
Paul E. Hundertmark, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, William Paul Hundertmark of Fredericktown R.D.1; one daughter, JoAnn H. Pitcock of Upper St. Clair; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Harry Edgar and John Edgar; and one great-grandson.
Raymond Haught Jr.
Veteran of WWII and Korean War
Raymond Haught Jr., 70, of 168 Mitchell Road, Eighty Four, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, September 5, 1997, in Washington Hospital.
He was born March 29, 1927, in South Strabane Township, a son of Thomas Ray Sr. and Johanna McCready Haught.
Mr. Haught attended Trinity High School and was an ironworker for Local No. 3.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Canonsburg.
Mr. Haught served in the U.S. Army in World War II in Panama and also served in the Korean War.
He was a member of American Legion Post 175 of Washington.
Mr. Haught was one of the founders of 84 Boys Baseball and was also active in the Thursday Senior Mens Golf League. He enjoyed golf, fishing, woodworking and rebuilding old tractors.
On August 22, 1948, he married
Elsie Ritter, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Randy Haught of Warrior, Ala., Grant Haught of Leesburg, Va., and Thomas Haught of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Diana Hull of Washington, Karen Underwood of Roanoke, Va., and Nellie Jo Habibi of Ashburn, Va.; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Betty Lou Morris of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Ruth Weinberg and Shirley Heckendorn.
Evelyn Durila

She was a homemaker and a member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed by Isaly's Dairy. She was a 1955 graduate of Chartiers High School.
On December 17, 1960, she married
John William Durila, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John R. Durila of Pittsburgh and Timothy L. Durila at home; two daughters, Sara E. Belcastro of Columbus, Ohio, and Donna M. Durila at home; a brother, Byron Beall of Beaufort, S.C.; two sisters, Annetta Gary of Beaver and Ruth Beall of Marysville, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Victoria and Josephine Belcastro.
Deceased is a brother, Merwin Beall.
Roger Courtwright
Postmaster was former justice of peace in Aleppo

He was born February 14, 1923, in McCracken, Greene County, a son of James H. and Fern Jeanne Anderson Courtwright.
Mr. Courtwright was a member of the VFW Post 267 in Wind Ridge and the American Legion Post 18 in Cameron, W.Va.
Many years ago he was president of Local 1527 Carpenters and Joiners of America in Waynesburg and also served as justice of the peace in Aleppo Township for many years.
He was an income tax preparer; owner of the Silver Bell Store in Bristoria; and was the former postmaster in Wind Ridge for 27 years, retiring in April 1988.
A former member of the Aleppo Brethren Church, he was also an Army veteran with Company A 817th Tank Destroyer Battalion in the European Theater from 1943-46.
Surviving are his wife, Blanche F. Martin Courtwright; six sons, Wilbur L. of Wind Ridge, Dean M. of Aleppo, Fred C. of Holbrook, Timothy B. of Wind Ridge, Jacob A. of New Freeport and Adam D. of Wind Ridge; five daughters, Millie Lund of Wind Ridge, Hazel Kossler of Wind Ridge, Charlotte McMillen of West Finley, Freda Courtwright of Waynesburg and Wretha Courtwright of Mitchellville, Md.; a brother, James Boyd Courtwright of Georgetown; a sister, Eva Jeanne Moniger of Follansbee, W.Va.; and 20 grandchildren.
One grandson is deceased.
Bert Caldwell Jr.

He was born October 14, 1926, in Washington, son of Anna Caldwell of Washington and the late Bert Caldwell Sr.
Mr. Caldwell was a member of Wayne Moose Lodge 835 and VFW Post 9973. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He retired from Kelsey Hayes of Romulus, Mich., formerly of McKeesport, after 35 years service.
He was married
to Peggy Peters Caldwell, who survives.
Also surviving are six daughters, Diane Bedillion of Washington, Sheila Garcia of Hemet, Calif., Jodi Caldwell of Dearborn, Mich., Cindy Osborne of Wayne, Tammy DeGagne of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and Melody Krajewski of East Aurora, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Brian and Jason Bedillion, Bert Owens, Jamie and Eric Morris, Andre and Alexander DeCagne and Katie and Kelsey Osborne; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Violet Bradley and Loretta Wolf.
