Word has been received of the death of Charles Leonard Anderson, 54, of Hauppauge, N.Y., who Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died August 9, 1997.
He was born September 11, 1942, in Ridgeway, a son of Leonard Anderson of Ridgeway and the late Arnetta Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a 22-year member of First Presbyterian Church of Smithtown, N.Y.
He graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in 1964, was trained as a chemist and was a member of numerous health physics societies. For the last 18 years, he was employed as Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager for Landauer Inc., specialists in radiation dosimetry.
On July 16, 1966, in Washington, he married
Phyllis Morrison, who survives.
Surviving are a son, lst Lt. Brian Anderson of Okinawa; a daughter, Kristen Epp of Shoreham, N.Y.; two sisters, Kay Wisniewski of Gibsonia and Rita Petroff of Manchester, Conn.; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted in Smithtown, N.Y. with the Rev. William H. Edwards of First Presbyterian Church officiating.
William D. Tarr
Retired from Western Auto Supply Co., Detroit, Mich.
William D. Tarr, 75, of Dade City, Fla., formerly of Flat Rock, Mich., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 1997. He was born March 30, 1922, in Pittsburgh, son of James E. and Elizabeth James Tarr.
Mr. Tarr served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1941 through 1945 at Guadalcanal, British Solomon Islands, Hawaiian Islands, Eniwetok, Marshall Islands, Saipan, Tinian and Marinas Islands.
He was a sales manager for Western Auto Supply Co. in the Detroit, Mich., area, for 35 years, retiring in 1980.
Mr. Tarr was a life member of VFW Post 764 in Pennsylvania, American Legion Post 793 in Pennsylvania, Moose Lodge 397, Dade Ciity, Marine Corps League and Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are three sons, Tom of Monroe, Mich., John J. of Flat Rock and Daniel of South Carolina; one daughter, Sue Hannah of Monroe; one brother, Jack C. Tarr of Bridgeville; two sisters, Jennie Bell of Pittsburgh and Marian Wilbar of Norristown; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, William N. Tarr; and a brother, James Tarr.
Services and interment were held in Flat Rock.
Margaret Jane Ringler
A Mapletown High School graduate
Margaret Jane Ringler, 74, of Allons, Tenn., formerly of Greene County, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, July 13, 1997, in Doctors Hospital, Massillon, Ohio, while visiting family. She was born April 19, 1923, in Monongahela, a daughter of Thomas and Jane Hodgson Jones.
Mrs. Ringler was a 1940 graduate of Mapletown High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Livingston, Tenn.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond K. Ringler, whom she married
July 7, 1944; two sisters, Anne Rush of Cortland, Ohio, and Mildred Bock of Lewistown; a brother, Thomas Jones of Wellsville, Ohio; and a granddaughter.

Douglas Louk
Douglas Raymond Morrison Louk, 6, of Washington, was pronounced dead on arrival at Washington Hospital Sunday, July 13, 1997, as the result of a tragic accident.
He was born October 31, 1990, in Perry, Ga., son of Douglas E. Louk and Patricia Lynn Morrison, both of Washington. Douglas was to enter first grade in September.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Michael A. Gheen and Dillon M. Richards; two sisters, Krysta Morrison and Tracy L. Kisner, all of Washington; maternal grandmother, Darlene Calvert and paternal grandmother, Barbara JoAnn Wilson, both of Washington.
Vaughn W. Lemley
Vaughn W. Lemley, 73, of Mt. Morris R.D.1, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died at 5:39 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 1997, at Greene County Memorial Hospital's emergency room.
He was born July 31, 1923, in Perry Township, Greene County, a son of Ansel Arl and Nannie Knotts Lemley. Mr. Lemley spent his entire life in Greene County.
He was a member of the Carpenters Union out of Morgantown, W.Va., a member of Waynesburg Moose Lodge No. 461 and was an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police in Morgantown.
He had worked for several different contractors during his life as a carpenter, last being employed by Coombs and Hemmann in Morgantown where he retired in 1986.
Mr. Lemley was a member of the Claughton Chapel United Methodist Church.
His wife, Anna Lou Lemley Lemley, whom he married
June 1, 1949, survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Karen Ruckle of Morgantown, W.Va., Karol Koast and Betty Jo Chapman, both of Mt. Morris and Kathy Williams of Fairmont, W.Va.; one sister, Vivian R. Lemley of Waynesburg; and seven grandchildren, Andrea Ruckle, Scott Koast, Eric Koast, Brittany Koast, Ryan Hays, Adam Chapman and Brian Chapman.
E. Pearl Kotyk
A lifetime Canonsburg resident
E. Pearl Kotyk, 71, of Canonsburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, July 14, 1997, at Washington County Health Center following a brief Illness. She was born July 23, 1925, in Canonsburg, daughter of Daniel and Maria Cygan Kotyk.
Miss Kotyk lived her entire life in Canonsburg where she was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Canonsburg and the Russian Brotherhood Organization of Canonsburg.
Surviving are four sisters, Annie Kotyk and Helen Kotyk, with whom she made her home, Nellie Koval of Canonsburg and Eva Cadez Kulik of Houston; three brothers, Steve Kotyk of Canonsburg, Harry Kotyk of Houston and Frank Kotyk of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Julia Verakis; and two brothers, John Kotyk and William Kotyk.
Dorothy Jacobs

She was born on November 30, 1909, in Washington, to George and Sara Shirey Rettinger.
A homemaker, Mrs. Jacobs was a former active member of the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City and was a former officer of "Charlie's Angels Dance Group." She also organized the local American Association of Retired Persons Line Dance Group.
On May 30, 1929, she married
Harry C. Jacobs, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Patricia Hill of Ellwood City, Sandy Darrin of Conneaut and Beck Bukac of Meadville; a son, Richard Jacobs of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Leota Eakin of Washington; and a brother, George Rettinger of Washington; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Jeanie Jamison and Celia McConnell.
Burial is Wednesday, July 16, in Locust Grove Cemetery, Ellwood City. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Ellwood City, or the Arthritis Foundation.
Michael Hostovich

He was born August 7, 1911, in Ambridge, a son of Michael and Maria Pupach Hostovich.
Mr. Hostovich was founder and owner of Brookwood Nursery in Venetia.
He was active in St. Joan of Arc Church, Library, where he served as usher and was one of 13 individuals memorialized in the cornerstone of the church. He purchased the parish school nuns their first car - a 1952 Chevy.
Mr. Hostovich wa a member of VFW 6664, Library, and designed the grounds of the Veterans Monument in Library.

A homemaker, Mrs. Gunnoe was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8319 and the Bentleyville Eagles Auxilary, of which she was past president.
She was Catholic.

Deceased are a half sister, Elizabeth Collier; two brothers, James and Edward Jackson; and a sister, Beulah Griffith.
She made her home with Robert F. Queen.
