Guyer Smith, 90, a resident of Piney Mountain Nursing Home, and formerly of 343 Cherry Tree Circle, Hagerstown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at the nursing home.
Born March 23, 1910, in Fort Loudon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Elizabeth Yeager Kahn.

Her second husband, George H. She was employed at the former Stanley Company, Chambersburg, Pa., as a press operator for 27 years.
She was a member of Christ's Reformed Church United Church of Christ, Hagerstown.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother. She was the last of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg, Pa. The Rev. Don R. Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Stenger Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon.
Viewing will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Ronald A. Hartlaub
HANOVER, Pa. - Ronald A. Hartlaub, 52, of Hanover, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, May 12, 2000, at Hanover Hospital.
Born Aug. 6, 1947, in Hanover, he was the son of Eugene A. and Elizabeth J. Palmer Hartlaub of Hanover.
He was employed with United Defense, York, Pa., for 26 years.
He served in the U.S. Air Force 531st TAC Fighter Squadron, having served in Vietnam, where earned numerous medals including a Purple Heart and the Medal of Honor.
He was a member of St. Mathew's Lutheran Church, Hanover.
He was Hanover Allied Veterans Council President for the year 2002. He was a member of VFW Post 2506, Hanover, where he achieved All-State Commander twice and All American Commander status. He was later elected 21st District Commander serving York, Adams and Franklin counties. He later became leader of Pup Tent 57 Military Order of the Cooties. In 1996, he was appointed as National Deputy Chief of Staff by the National Commander of the VFW. He had been and was currently the Adjutant for Hanover VFW. He also held various State appointments, including rank of Captain with VFW Color Guard of Hanover. He was a member of American Legion Post 14, AMVETS Post 22, Hanover; Vietnam Veterans of York County and Moose 227, Hanover.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Vickie L. Clayton Hartlaub; a son, Dustin D. Hartlaub of Taneytown, Md.; a stepson, Robert M. Anderson of York and a half-brother, Robert W. Warner of Hanover.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at VFW Post 2506, 19 S. McKinley Ave., Hanover. Chaplain George B. Hummer will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Roy Harbaugh Hall of VFW Post 2506. Full graveside military honors will be conducted by the Hanover Allied Veterans Council.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald A. Hartlaub Foundation, in care of VFW Post 2506, 19 South McKinley Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.

Violet S. Shockey
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Violet S. She was a former member of Cold Spring United Brethren in Christ Church, Fayetteville; and a member of Blue Rock United Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro, Pa., and Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
She was a member of National A.A.R.P.
She is survived by her husband, Clark C. Shockey, whom she married
April 9, 1972; a daughter, Glenda S. Ulrich of Fayetteville; two sons, Donald H. Sharrah of Fayetteville, and Jackie L. Sharrah of Waynesboro; two sisters, Betty Mickey and Peggy Peterson, both of Fayetteville; two brothers, the Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. and Thomas L. Mowers, both of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Mouer and Janet Baker.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Revs. John W. Shubert and Donald L. Bender will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Mount Alto, Pa.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Blue Rock United Brethren in Christ Church, 7885 Mentzer Gap Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
John L. Ricchi

He formerly worked at Ingersoll-Rand Co., Shippensburg, Pa.
He attended King Street United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Trinity L. Myers Ricchi; a daughter, Amber D. Ricchi of Dublin, Ohio; a son, Jon C. Ricchi at home; two sisters, Lisa Ballard of Chambersburg and Rebecca Newcomer of Fayetteville, Pa., and a brother, Mark C. Ricchi of Chambersburg.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

Earl Curfman Jr.

Born June 14, 1927, in Huntingdon County, Pa., he was the son of the late Earl W. and Blanche Smith Curfman.

He retired from Ward Trucking Co. after 30 years as dock supervisor. He was later employed by PennDot as an equipment operator. He drove an ambulance for Rural Metro Medical Services.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in World War II.
He was a member of the Junior Hose and Truck Co. 2; served on the board of the Chambersburg Cardinals; was active with the Chambersburg Toy Mission, and was a sideline official for the Chambersburg Area School District during Chambersburg Area Senior High School football games.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey L. Curfman of Chambersburg, and David L. Curfman of Greencastle, Pa.; a sister, Dorothy Denise Smith of Chambersburg, a brother, Wayne Alfred Curfman of Newport News, Va., and four grandchildren.
A graveside service, with military honors by Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Norland Cemetery. The Rev. A. Robert Cook will officiate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg.
