Born Feb. 17, 1912, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry G. and Mary Fenwick Mull.
Her husband, Harry "Ralph" Martin, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died June 23, 1966.
She attended Clay Hill (Pa.) School.
She retired from Tracy Fashions in Chambersburg. During the 1950s and 1960s she and her husband operated Marion Market in Marion, Pa.
She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg and Buds of Promise Sunday School class.
She is survived by one stepdaughter, Catherine Newcomer of Chambersburg; one stepson, Ralph Martin of Fayetteville, Pa.; one sister, Helen M. Haulman of Fayetteville; and stepgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by two stepsons; three sisters; and three brothers.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Paul B. Baker and the Rev. Vaughn E. Kipe will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o Harold Haulman, P.O. Box 137, Marion, PA 17235.
Lucy E. Daywalt
QUINCY, Pa. - Lucy E. Rowe Daywalt, 77, of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 11886 Koons Road, Waynesboro, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born July 10, 1922, in Rouzerville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Ann Rodgers Rowe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Daywalt, in 1985. They were married
Dec. 24, 1940.
She attended Washington Township Schools.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by a son, Larry L. Daywalt of Waynesboro; three sisters, Dorcas R. Branco of Philadelphia, Virginia Wishard of Waynesboro and Mary Ann Green of Rouzerville; a brother, Robert R. Rowe of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Lonnie Daywalt; a daughter, Linda L. Daywalt; and a brother, Raymond R. Rowe.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. Bishop William Parks will officiate. Burial will be in Harbaugh Church Cemetery near Rouzerville.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A memorial service will be held today for an infant whose body was found May 10 in a refuse container behind a car wash in Chambersburg.
The service will begin at 7 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. It is open to the public.
Dorothy V. Merkel
NARBERTH, Pa. - Dorothy V. Merkel, 88, of 508 Homewood Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, May 12, 2000, at South Mountain Restoration Center.
Born June 23, 1911, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward N. and Elizabeth Merkel.
She was a 1929 graduate of Narberth High School. She attended business school.
She was employed as a secretary for a music teacher in Philadelphia.
She was a Protestant.
She is survived by one niece, Alison Merkel of Toronto, Ontario; great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the auditorium of South Mountain Restoration Center. The Rev. Richard Stuempfle will officiate. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.
Arrangements are by Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Pa.
Helen M. Witter
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Helen Marie Witter, 83, of Menno Haven, and previously of 2167 Loop Road, Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Menno Haven.
Born Aug. 3, 1916, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Ida Picking Witter.
She worked on the assembly line at Corning Glass Works, retiring in 1982.
She was a member of Chambersburg Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by one brother, Merle E. Witter of Chambersburg; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy F. Witter, Glenn Witter, Joseph A. Witter, Frank P. Witter and Harry M. Witter.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Kenneth Gibble will officiate. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Ruth O. Downey
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ruth O. Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadephia Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Jeffrey R. Diller will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Reformed Church, 259 S. Main St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
