CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Alfred B. Burkholder, 81, of Menno Haven, 2075 Scotland Ave., and formerly of 774 Wilson Lane, Fayetteville, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, March 31, 2000, at Menno Haven.
Born Feb. 7, 1919, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Rev. Daniel and Mary Byers Burkholder.
He owned and operated his own farm in Fayetteville for 40 years before retiring.
He was a member of New Guilford Brethren in Church, Chambersburg, where he formerly served as trustee and also taught Sunday School.
He served as past president of Chambersburg Local of Inter-State Milk Producers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Grace Sollenberger Burkholder, whom he marred Nov. 11, 1942; two daughters, Lucy L. Johnson of Kalispell, Mont., and Goldie M. Obersholser of Chambersburg; two sons, Leon S. Burkholder of Gresham, Ore., and Evan J. Burkholder of Fayetteville; a sister, Nancy J. Hunsberger of Grantham, Pa.; a brother, Asa Burkholder of Shippensburg, Pa.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, J. Wilbur Burkholder.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at New Guilford Brethren in Church, Chambersburg. The Dr. Robert Verno will officiate. Burial will be in New Guilford Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, and Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church.

Betty J. Suders
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Betty J. Suders. 66, a resident of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of 248 High St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, April 2, 2000, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Dec. 9, 1933, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Louise Florence Fisher Shatzer of Marion, Pa., and the late Stanley H. Shatzer Jr.
She had been employed for a short time at Wilson College in Chambersburg and had also worked at the former Blue Bird Restaurant in Chambersburg and the former Chris Miller Orchard in New Franklin, Pa.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Theodore M. Suders, whom she married
July 30, 1966; a daughter, Patricia J. Suders of Chambersburg; a son, Gary L. Shatzer of Greencastle, Pa.; three sisters, Dorothy Troop of Lancaster, Pa., Judy Shatzer and Deborah Shatzer, both of Marion; two brothers, John Shatzer and Stanley Shatzer Jr., both of Chambersburg; three granddaughters; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Lousie Suder, in 1969.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 201 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg. The Rev. Stuart Troutman will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, and Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the Rehabilitation Center.

Eleanor L. Statler
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Eleanor L. Born Sept. 27, 1904, in Williamson, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John P. and Abbie Meyers Hartman.

July 25, 1941.
She attended the Lemasters School.
She was employed at Wilson College, Chambersburg, for a number of years prior to her marriage.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Chambersburg, and a member of the former St. John's United Church of Christ in Williamson.
She was a member of Farm Women's Group 5 of Franklin County.
She is survived by a daughter, M. Darlene Meyers of St. Thomas, Pa.; three stepdaughters, Joanne Statler Fox and Kay C. Mentzer, both of Chambersburg and Jean M. Stouffer of Greencastle, Pa.; two grandsons; seven step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, seven sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Miller-Grove Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle. The Rev. Jeffrey L. Roth and Chaplain Vernon D. Isner will officiate. Burial will be in Brown's Mill Cemetery, Kauffman Station, Pa.
The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lonnie Robbins, Viola Spence and Madeline Deal, and two brothers, Gordon Brown and Louis Brown.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Heinz's Church Cemetery in Millen, Ga.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, which will be open from 2 to 9 p.m.

She was preceded in death by a half sister.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Robert E. Timmons will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, Pa.
Viewing will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was a member of Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring.
She is survived by her husband, Robert V. Duffey; a daughter, Barbara Weller of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a son, David R. Duffey of Monrovia, Md., and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring. The Revs. William H. Harter and Randall Tremba will officiate. Burial will be held in Millersville Mennonite Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home.
