Born Jan. 1, 1935, in Monroe Township, Pa., he was the son of the late John A. and Velma Collins Dicken.
He was a 1952 graduate of Everett High School, Everett, Pa.
He was a retired truck driver, formerly driving for Kramer Trucking, Kelly Springfield Tire, Cumberland and for PennDot.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Clearville United Church, Clearville, Pa.
He was a member of American Legion Post 8, Everett, former member of VFW Post 2088 and Improved Order of The Red Men Wambic Tribe 507, both of Everett and a member of Teamsters Local of Cumberland, Md.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Beegle Dickens, whom he married
May 17, 1973; two daughters, Kathy Reid of Clear Spring, Md., Andrea Caro of Crystal Spring, Pa.; three sons, Kevin L. Dicken of Charles Town, W.Va., John A. Dicken of Virginia Beach, Va., Justin W. Dicken of Everett; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene W. Dicken of Everett and Donald Dicken of Clearville.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Dalla Valle Funeral Service. The Rev. Jay Saxe will officiate. Burial will be in Clearville Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Irene L. Hogle
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Irene L. Hogle, 72, of 195 Park Heights Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at her home.
Born March 17, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Fecso Matesz.
Her husband, Charles R. Hogle, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died July 13, 1983.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg, Pa.
She sang with Corpus Christi Folk Choir and was a member of Columbia Ladies. She was an active aerobics enthusiast, most recently at the Chambersburg Rec Center.
She is survived by four daughters, Cheryl Adams of Powhatan, Va., Marge Tavarez of Anaheim, Calif., Jean Majewski of Everett, Wash., and Kathleen Dillon of Chambersburg; a son, Richard Hogle of Schenectady, N.Y.; five sisters, Ann Gasser, Mary Bukowski and Betty Gueli, all of Toledo, Helen Pratt of London, Ontario Canada and Rose Simpson of Sun City, Calif.; a brother, John Matesz of Toledo; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Matesz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg. The Rev. Luis R. Rodiguez will officiate. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. Rosary prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.

Wallace McDonald
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Wallace McDonald, 66, of 13639 Buchanan Trail West, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa., due to a heart attack.
Born Nov. 23, 1933, in Greencastle, Pa., he was the son of the late Lloyd T. and Francis Roll McDonald.
As a young man, he apprenticed as a machinist at Frick Company, Waynesboro, Pa., where he worked for 16 years. Later he worked at D.L. Martin Machine Co. of Mercersburg and then at Mack Truck Inc., Hagerstown. He retired in 1986 as a supervisor. He was most recently employed by Tuscarora School District.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mercersburg.
He was a life member of Greencastle Rescue Hose Co. and participated in Rescue Hose minstrel shows from 1950 to 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Suffecool McDonald, whom he married
Nov. 4, 1967; two daughters, Susan Ettenhofer of Medway, Mass., and Tammy McDonald of Mercersburg; five sons, Jim Ritzus of Cranston, RI, Barry Ritzus, Kris McDonald and Joe McDonald, all of Mercersburg, and Craig McDonald of Greencastle; three sisters, Anna Shockey and Catherine Hill, both of Greencastle, and Clara Robertson of Carlisle, Pa.; and a brother, Toby McDonald of Greencastle.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Michael R. Brendle will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Lemasters, where Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 will perform a military graveside service.
Viewing will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Home Care Services and designed to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Chester G. Mellott

He drove a truck for O.J. Shaw, was a mechanic at Fulton Motor Sales, McConnellsburg and worked for Hulls Resurfacing, Inc., Butler, Pa., and he was a Rawleigh dealer for 22 years.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Church, New Grenada, Pa.

He is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Anderson of McConnellsburg; three sons, Neill Mellott of State College, Pa., Huey Mellott of Chambersburg, Pa., and Hunter Mellott of Lebanon, Pa.; eleven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Mellott and Peter Mellott; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., Harrisonville, Pa. The Rev. Charles Gummo will officiate. Burial will be at Wells Valley Roaring Run Cemetery, Wells Tannery, Pa.
Visitation will be held today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary E. Witter
ORTANNA, Pa. - Mary E. She is survived by a son, Harold E. Miller of Ortanna; a sister, Gean Mason of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 43 W. High St., Gettysburg. The Rev. Michael E. Messner will be celebrant.
There will be no public viewing. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Fairfield, Pa. at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 43 West High Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematory, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
