WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Betty A. Boden Courtney, 61, of Buck Valley Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, April 10, 2000, at her home.
Born March 4, 1939, in Hancock, she was the daughter of Mildred Boden Snow of Hancock and the late George Snow.
She had been employed by Tri-State Community Health Center as a referral specialist.
She was a member of Hancock United Methodist Church in Hancock.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Marion Courtney, whom she married
April 10, 1976; a son, Jeff True of Hancock; a stepdaughter, Carol Kershner of Westminster, Md.; a stepson, Gail Courtney of Lineboro, Md.; two brothers, George Snow and Greg Snow, both of Hancock; three grandsons; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph True; and an aunt.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hancock United Methodist Church, 168 W. Main St. in Hancock. The Rev. Robert G. Brennan Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Warfordsburg Presbyterian Cemetery in Warfordsburg.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. in Hancock, which will be open at 3 p.m.; visitation also will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the church.
Lester L. Crider
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Lester L. Crider, 74, of 10998 Spring Ridge Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Nov. 12, 1925, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late John H. and Lizzie Frey Crider.
He retired from dairy farming in 1974. From 1974 until 1992, he was a Mar-Gro Minerals sales representative.
He was a member of Rowe Mennonite Church in Shippensburg.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn L. Martin Crider; six daughters, Lorene F. Hege and Joyce L. Diller, both of Chambersburg, Joanne S. Martin of Spring Run, Pa., Debra K. Hege of Millen, Ga., Barbara A. Diller of Shippensburg and Janita J. Diller of Myerstown, Pa.; four sons, Glenn L. Crider, Ray M. Crider, Larry L. Crider and Max E. Crider, all of Shippensburg; four sisters, Leona Showalter of Maugansville, Elinor Showalter and Janet Crider, both of Chambersburg, and Thelma Diller of Shippensburg; two brothers, Eldon Crider and Harold Crider, both of Chambersburg; 37 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Rowe Mennonite Church. The Revs. Richard Herr, John Horst and Allen Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery, Southampton Township.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home in Shippensburg; and Saturday at 9 a.m. at the church.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Gerald I. Radbill

Born March 28, 1941, in Jacksonville, Fla., he was the son of Gertrude Weisberg Radbill of Chambersburg and the late Daniel A. Radbill.
He was a graduate of Baltimore University.
He was part owner of the former Tobey's Department Store; and was a New York Life agent.
He was a member of Sons of Israel Congregation.
Active in Little League, he served as president for two years and as treasurer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susan Wingert Radbill; two daughters, Lynn Crosby of Baltimore and Renee Radbill of Chicago; a son, Lane Tyler Radbill of Chambersburg; two brothers, Michael Radbill of Cherry Hill, N.J. and Robert Radbill of Frederick, Md.; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by two sons.
Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home. Rabbi Nina Mandel will officiate. Burial will be in Sons of Israel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sons of Israel Congregation, 209 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Edward D. Porter
ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Edward D. "Dewey" Porter, 52, of 6015 Honeywood Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at York(Pa.) Hospital, York, Pa., following an auto accident on April 5 in St. Thomas.
Born Sept. 6, 1947, in Shippensburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Clarence W. and Dorothy A. Polites Porter.
He was retired. He had been a manager and maintenance man at apartment buildings in Phoenix.
He is survived by his wife, Janice R. Gahagan Porter, whom he married
April 1, 1971; four daughters, Christina Kendle of Delaware, Barbara Hawn of Huntingdon, Pa., Holly Porter of New Jersey and April Statler of St. Thomas; two sons, Dewey Edward Noel of Winchester, Va. and Thomas D. Porter of St. Thomas; three sisters, Dorothy Miller of Thurmont, Md., Constance Funk of Chambersburg, Pa. and Sue Hornbaker of Fayetteville, Pa.; three brothers, Charles R. Porter of Thurmont, Gene Porter and Anthony Porter, both of Chambersburg; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, and a granddaughter.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
Clark O. Hatt
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Clark O. "C.O." Hatt, 77, of 703 S. Born June 17, 1922, in Reading, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles L. and Hannah S. Whiskeyman Hatt.
He graduated from Wilson High School.
He was an inspector for Landis Tool Co. in Waynesboro, retiring in 1985.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. His decorations included a Bronze Campaign Star and a Purple Heart.
He was a member of Mohn's Memorial Evangelical Church in Mohn's Hill.
He was a member of the 5th Armored Division Association of Minister, Ohio; LATCO Foremen's Club of Waynesboro; Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15; and William Max McLaughlin VFW Post 695 of Waynesboro.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Stella I. Himmelberger Hatt; a son, Dwight D. Hatt of Waynesboro; three brothers, Paul Hatt of Centerport, Pa., Harold Hatt of Reading, Pa. and Richard Hatt of Hamburg, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Archie Hatt and Woodrow Hatt.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
There will be no public viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
