Born Sept. 18, 1919, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Rossman Alther.
Her husband, Perry M. Mann, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1971.
She was a 1938 graduate of Chambersburg High School; and was the Color Day Queen in 1938.
She retired from Sprint Telephone Co.
She was a member of Zion Reformed Church in Chambersburg.
She is survived by a daughter, Christine Kempf of Harrisburg; a brother, John R. Alther of Chambersburg; two granddaughters, Nadia Kempf and Alla Kempf, both of Harrisburg;
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Richard C. Harlacher will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 2325 Country Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to Helen Opperman Krause Animal Foundation, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
Edna Z. Angle
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Edna Z. Angle, 92, of Penn Hall, and formerly of 428 Paul Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Penn Hall.
Born Aug. 23, 1907, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late George Leiter and Bessie Kean Zug.
Her husband, Chester McLain Angle, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Jan. 31, 1985.
She was a 1925 graduate of Chambersburg High School; and a 1929 graduate of Wilson College majoring in French. She received her teaching certificate from the University of Pennsylvania.
She was an English teacher at Greencastle High School from 1930 to 1932. Later she was employed by the U.S. government at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, retiring in 1972 from the D.E.S.C.O.M. division after 30 years.
She was a member of Zion Reformed Church in Chambersburg and was a deacon on consistory.
She was a former member of Chambersburg Hospital Ladies Auxiliary; Wilson College Alumni Association; and Business and Profession Women.
She is survived by a daughter, Lois A. Strayer of Chambersburg; three grandchildren, Barbara Burns of Chambersburg, Larry Strayer of Orrstown, Pa., and Stephen Strayer of Blue Bell, Pa.; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Jeffrey R. Diller will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Dennis R. Sanbower

Born July 28, 1943, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Helene Virginia Buhrman Sanbower of Hagerstown and the late David Kyd Jim Sanbower.
He was employed as a welder.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Tim Sanbower of Chambersburg; a sister, Linda K. Gates of Cavetown, Md.; and a brother, D. Scott Sanbower of Inwood, W.Va.
Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Seth Gordon, and her second husband, James Howard.
She was a graduate of the former Hustontown High School, Hustontown, Pa.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chambersburg.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, W.B.C.C.I. and Good Sam Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Katherine Williamson of Chambersburg; two sons, Larry Gordon of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and William Gordon of Harrisburg, Pa.; a sister, Betty Donahue of Waterfall, Pa.; three brothers, Robert Gracey, John Gracey and Edward Gracey, all of Waterfall; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Robinson.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 741 S. Coldbrook Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Vernon T. Edward will officiate. Burial will be in Centerview Cemetery, Hustontown.
The family will receive friends at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg today from 6 to 8 p.m.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Betty J. Talhelm, 71, of 63 S. Born Jan. 11, 1929, in Mercersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Margaret Dorty Myers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Talhelm, in 1986.
Early in her life, she was employed by Mercersburg Dress Factory. Later, she was employed by Sunnyway Food Market of Greencastle, retiring in 1980 after 10 years of service.
She was a member and past president of Ladies Auxiliary of Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 of Mercersburg, and a member and past president of Ladies Auxiliary of Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post 373 of Greencastle.
She is survived by three daughters, Lyvonna Metcalf of State Line, Pa., and Patricia Meyers and Sharon Sechrist, both of Greencastle; two sisters, Dorothy Kipe and Margaret Bookwalter, both of Mercersburg; a brother, John A. Myers of Harrisonville, Pa.; seven grandchildren, including Gregory Metcalf, whom she raised; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, a sister and a brother.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave. in Mercersburg. The Rev. Floyd E. Myers will officiate.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
