CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Blair E. "Snuff" Brown, 61, of 122 Garfield St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, March 6, 2000, at his home.
Born Dec. 22, 1938, in Three Springs, Pa., he was the son of the late Franklin Irvin and Margaret Jackson Brown.
He was a painter, working for Paul Nolt for more than four years, Clyde Clouser for more than 20 years, and for Delray Martin.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his former wife, Betty Brown of Chambersburg; two sons and three daughters, Charles I. Propper and Susan Cortez, both of Chambersburg, Tina Turi of Gettysburg, Pa., Lee Propper and Robin West, both of Portland, Ore.; four brothers and one sister, Glen Brown of York, Pa., Richard Brown of Portage, Pa., James Brown of Littlestown, Pa., William Brown of Bedford, Pa., and May Brown of Claysburg, Pa.; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. Lee Propper will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg, with military services by Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Clair M. Miller
FANNETTSBURG, Pa. - Clair M. "Doc" Miller, 87, of Fannettsburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, March 6, 2000, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Aug. 21, 1912, in Dry Run, Pa., he was the son of the late Curtis A. and Sarah M. Myers Miller.
He was a graduate of Dry Run High School.
He retired as a tank driver for Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg. He owned and operated a farm for 50 years.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a Protestant.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys R. Rosenberry Miller, whom he married
Oct. 3, 1952; and four sisters, Eleanor M. Adams of Shippensburg, Pa., Velma O. Getz of Lancaster, Pa., Laura B. Miller Hess of Shade Gap, Pa. and Dorothy M. Flood of Chambersburg.
He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at John L. Agett Funeral Home, 18875 Main St. in Dry Run. The Revs. Ted Hale and John Semple will officiate.
Burial will be in Upper Path Valley Cemetery in Fannett Township, Pa., with military services by McCartney Post 232 VFW Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Kenneth D. Smith
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Kenneth D. Smith, 48, of 10628 Ash Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Aug. 16, 1951, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Josephine Shultz Smith of Daytona, Fla., and the late Robert F. Smith.
He was a 1969 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
He was employed for 25 years by Hartru Corp. in Hagerstown. He was a foreman in the construction of tennis courts.
He was a member of William Max McLaughlin VFW Post 695 in Waynesboro.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Beverly Howell of Daytona; five brothers, Robert F. Smith Jr. of Hoopa, Calif., Rayburn D. Smith and Galen A. Smith, both of Waynesboro, Gene Smith of Perry, Okla. and Denton W. Smith of Hustontown; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematory, Waynesboro.
Janet L. Crone
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Janet L. "Lover" Dull Crone, 62, of 144 Brown St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, March 6, 2000, at her home.
Born Oct. 14, 1937, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of Margaret I. Oliver Dull of Waynesboro and the late T. Frank Dull.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. "Sonny" Crone, whom she married
Aug. 21, 1954.
She attended Waynesboro schools.
She was employed by WAYZ Radio Station in Waynesboro as a secretary; and was church secretary for the Rev. Stuart while he was pastor of the church.
She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro, taught Sunday school and served as mission secretary.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three brothers, Theodore F. Dull Jr. of Waynesboro, Ray E. Dull of Chambersburg, Pa., and Carl H. Hull of Red Bluff, Calif.; a niece, three nephews, two great-nieces, two great-nephews and two stepgreat-nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro. The Revs. Dwan N. Newson and Walter A. Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, Pa.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro; and one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Assembly of God Church, 116 Snider Avenue, Waynesboro, PA 17268; or to Summit Home Health, 176 S. Coldbrook Avenue No. 3, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Daniel P. Whitfield

Born Aug. 27, 1920, in Stonerstown, Pa., he was the son of the late Sydney R. and Ella C. Maddox Whitfield.
He retired in 1974 from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, as a truck driver after 31 years. He then worked in the maintenance department of Franklin County Nursing Home, Chambersburg; and prepared taxes for 15 years at the Chambersburg Senior Center.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in World War II.
He was a member of Pond Bank (Pa.) Independent Church.
He was a member of Charles W. McCleary Post 78, Disabled American Veterans, Chambersburg; and AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Nead Whitfield, whom he married
Jan. 31, 1941; a daughter, Susan E. Macinnes of Chambersburg; a son, Daniel Whitfield of Chambersburg; a brother, Robert Whitfield of Saxton, Pa.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; a sister, and four brothers.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Mervil R. Stambaugh will officiate. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. in Oddfellow's Cemetery, Broad Top, Pa., with military services by Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
