Born May 1, 1912, in Centre Hall, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Virgie Kritzer McClenahan.
Her husband of 48 years, Theophilus W. Putt, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Dec. 4, 1983.
She was a former employee of Gettysburg Shoe Factory, and Carroll Shoe Factory of Mont Alto, Pa. She had been employed as a cook at Gateway Diner of Breezewood, Pa.; and as craft coordinator for Fort Loudon Senior Center.
She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, and attended Mercersburg First Church of God.
She was a member of Slender-Et Club of Chambersburg.
She is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Houtz Hawbaker of Chambersburg, Deanna Larson of St. Thomas and Virginia Homan of Centre Hall; four sons, Duane Putt of Friendsville, Md., Terry Putt Sr. of Chambersburg, Billy Putt of Scotland, Pa. and Barry Putt of Fayetteville, Pa.; two sisters, Peggy Blazer of Centre Hall and Dorothy Houser of State College, Pa.; three brothers, Harry McClenahan Jr., Jack McClenahan and William McClenahan Jr., all of Centre Hall; 23 grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and a stepgreat-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two children and a sister.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Mercersburg First Church of God. The Revs. Ernest Pletcher and Duane Putt will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
Viewing will be Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg; and Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Born April 26, 1924, in Mercersburg, he was the son of the late Chester M. and Evelyn Robison Banks.
He had worked at area orchards and Mercersburg Tannery. From 1959 until his retirement in 1987, he was employed by the Borough of Mercersburg.
A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, he served in World War II.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mercersburg.
He was a member of Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 and Harry Lackhove American Legion Post 517, both of Mercersburg, MMP & W Fire Co. of Mercersburg; and McConnellsburg Fire Co.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Nolf Banks, whom he married
Nov. 22, 1968; a son, Donald M. Banks Jr. of Mercersburg; a sister, Gertrude Lear of Chambersburg; two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Roy E. Brake Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
Viewing will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

C.C. Walker Williams
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - C.C. Walker Williams, 90, of 410 S. Born in Federalsburg, Md., he was the son of the late Rev. John Wesley and Agnes Katherina Walker Williams.

He was a 1928 graduate of Mercersburg (Pa.) Academy and attended Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.
He was employed as an engineer by Landis Tool Co., Waynesboro, from 1930 until retiring in 1971.
After retirement he studied art painting and received awards throughout Cumberland Valley. He painted until the age of 87.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Waynesboro, taught 3-M Sunday School Class, was on the Consistory and the property committee, serving as chairman for a number of years.
He was a member of Waynesboro Studio Club, Eagles Club in Waynesboro and National AARP.
He is survived by a daughter, N. Jane Suydam of Waynesboro; and a son, C. Randall Williams of Hagerstown.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ, 30 W. North St., Waynesboro. The Rev. James T. Williams will officiate.
The family will receive friends after the memorial services in the church.
There will be no public viewing.
Private graveside services will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Renfrew Museum, 1010 E. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268; or Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Road, Waynesboro, PA; or Mercersburg Academy Arts Department, Mercersburg, PA 17236.

He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie M. Miller of Hustontown; a son, Gary D. Wilson of Dry Run, Pa.; three sisters, Madeline Cowan of Neelyton, Pa., Mamie Anderson of Shade Gap and Cordelia Burdge of Hershey, Pa.; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a great-grandson.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. The Rev. Belvy White will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap, with military honors by Fulton Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Ruth M. Patterson
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ruth M. She was employed at Penn State Alumni Association, State College, as a secretary for 19 years, retiring in 1980. She formerly worked as a secretary for both Pennsylvania Department of Highways and for Letterkenny Army Depot, both in Chambersburg.
She was a Lutheran.
She is survived by two nephews, Forrest P. Chisman of Stevensville, Md., and David Chisman of Arlington, Va.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy M. Chisman.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
