CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pamalee P. Born Feb. 8, 1906, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Adam and Cora Byers Pheil.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Thomas, in 1971.

She was a graduate of Chambersburg Nursing School.

She was a registered nurse at Chambersburg Hospital.

She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church.

She was a member of Detrich-Brechbill Post 612 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave. in Chambersburg. Pastor James Young will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

There will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 7061 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas, PA 17252; or Menno Haven, 2075 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Ruby L. Ditch

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Ruby L. Green Ditch, 59, of 9967 Mentzer Gap Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born June 29, 1940, in Eyler Valley, Md., she was the daughter of Helen Green of Chambersburg and the late Fred Green.

She was employed as a laborer with Clare Frock Dress Co. in Thurmont, Md., for 30 years until it closed. She then worked at various other jobs.

She was a member of Eyler Chapel in Sabillasville, Md.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Lee Ditch of Waynesboro; three sisters, Jo Ann Wagaman of Sabillasville, Jenny Kindley of Leitersburg and Annie Toms of Sabillasville; a brother, Raymond Green of Sabillasville; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Lochstampfor Funeral Home, corner of South Church and West Second streets, Waynesboro. The Revs. Herb Busisk and Randy Reed will officiate. Burial will be in Harbaugh Church Cemetery in Waynesboro.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Charles E. Finniff

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Charles E. Finniff, 88, a resident of Menno Haven, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Menno Haven.

Born Oct. 29, 1911, in Knobsville, Pa., he was the son of the late Phillip and Lucy Myers Finniff. He was raised from the age of 8 by foster parents Clarence W. and Margie Foust.

His first wife, Lillian Elliott Finniff, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1985.

He was a 1930 graduate of Chambersburg High School.

He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot. He was former owner and operator of Finniff Grocery Store, and was employed by Nehi Bottling Co., both formerly in Chambersburg.

He was a member of Church of the Brethren in Chambersburg, and the church choir.

He also was a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees 1063, George Washington Lodge 143 F.&A.M., both in Chambersburg, and a former member of Commercial Club of Chambersburg, Community Chorus and Chambersburg Kiwanis Club.

He volunteered for a number of years as the "official" Santa Claus in downtown Chambersburg.

He is survived by his wife, M. Frazier Grapes Finniff; two daughters, JoAnne Gabler of Chambersburg and Bonnie Powell of Haines City, Fla.; a sister, Isabelle Moore of Chambersburg; a brother, Merle Dentler of Waynesboro; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Church of the Brethren, 260 S. Fourth St., Chambersburg. The Rev. Kenneth L. Gibble, and Vernon T. Isner, chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to Church of the Brethren, 260 S. Fourth St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; Menno Haven, 2075 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to Frances Leiter Center, 248 S. Fourth St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Earl W. Henson

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Earl W. Henson, 59, of 305 E. Madison St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at his home from an apparent heart attack.

Born Nov. 29, 1940, in Greencastle, he was the son of Jarvis M. Henson of Greencastle and the late H. Leona Bryant Henson.

He attended Greencastle High School.

He was an auto mechanic, having worked for Forrester Lincoln Mercury Inc. in Chambersburg, Pa.; Hicks Chevrolet Buick Volvo in Greencastle; and Henson Auto Body in Marion, Pa.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Greencastle.

He was a social member of Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion and Harry D. Zeigler VFW, both of Greencastle.

He restored automobiles and displayed them at local car shows.

In addition to his father, he is survived by three sisters, Judy Dilcher of Glen Mills, Pa., Beverly Moxley of Caldwell, W.Va., and Emily Smalt of Virginia Beach, Va.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St. in Greencastle. Pastor Stacy Crawford will officiate. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Macedonia United Brethren Church Cemetery near Greencastle.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to American Diabetes Association, c/o Joan Goetz, 219 W. Second St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Mary I. Weagley

She was a 1942 graduate of Washington Township High School.

She was employed by Landis Machine Company, Waynesboro Country Club, VFW and Eagles Club, all of Waynesboro.

She was a member of Church of the Brethren, Waynesboro.

She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW 695, Waynesboro; Blue Ridge Knitters Guild; and AARP.

She is survived by her husband, M. Eugene Weagley; three sons, L. Eugene Weagley of Quincy, Pa., M. Tim Weagley of Spring Grove, Pa., and Joseph N. Weagley of Waynesboro; two sisters, Ruth A. Knepper and Wilma M. Wilhide, both of Waynesboro; three brothers, Robert H. Helfrick and Paul E. Helfrick, both of Waynesboro, and David R. Helfrick of Fayetteville, Pa.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha H. Helfrick and Lois E. Diffenderfer; and two brothers, John K. Helfrick Jr. and Lloyd E. Helfrick.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Church of the Brethren, 117 S. Church St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
